I’ve never understood why people just blatantly hate on BTS. Like you don’t have to like their music but they’ve proven their good people with their charity work and the messages they put into their songs.
From what I can tell, the hate comes from two sources. 1. Ignorant people with lots of misconceptions regarding kpop and particularly BTS 2. Fans of other kpop groups who perceive(d) BTS as a threat to their favorite groups.
Tbh most of the hate on BTS *nowadays not the early days* is because of Armys (: i Adore BTS with all my heart but i don't want to claim myself as an army anymore because the toxic fans are becoming more and more toxic and they're like 50% of the whole fandom
Let's say for example i am a EXOl *whuch i'm not coz Exols are toxic too thank you* and i saw an army saying that BTS is the best and EXO is trash, even if i like BTS as a band i'll automatically say that they're trash too because i was attacked !
Also amrys act very very bad towards smaller groups and they comment things like *OMG they're good but BTS is the best* which makes multifans like me hate that fandom so bad
I still love BTS because i started stanning them since 2014 but a lot of people would hate them if they see how armys are acting especially these days *I mean all the kpop community hated armys and blinks after what happened last month, not to mention how much hate TXT had to go through because they're from Bighit*
It's sad that they have to go above and beyond to get the bare minimum respect. When other artists are respected from the get go.
Rima Aouadi I really hate fan wars. And like Exo and BTS are friends, yet our fandoms have to be petty and immature by putting down others. Every fandom has toxic fans and I’m not sure if that’ll ever be rid of but I hope the good overweighs the bad. But I’m always going to be army because I support the group not necessarily the fans. And trust me it’s not all armys who put down others, it’s only toxic fans who we do NOT claim. Try to aim to not to be ashamed of who you support because *you* are not a bad person and that’s what matters.

Tbh i'm feeling bad because i know BTS are gonna go to the army soon and then they will disband so i really don't want them to be *the group with the toxic fandom* after disbanding, i just want people to be normal and understand that the Kpop is a place were fans can feel close and comfortable around there idols but it's becoming a huge mess these last years ! I remember back in the days when Jonghyun passed away every kpop stan was being so nice and supportive but seeing people now saying that a certain idol should just die makes me feel horrible

They’ve won Top Duo/Group at the billboard music awards and they were so surprised because they never expected to win anything in America. We’re aiming for the Grammys right now because they want to win one super badly but it’s hard with they refuse to let a non English act win even though they’ve surpassed all American counterparts 😕

BTS taught me how to love myself. Each member taught me something different:
RM taught me how to be a responsible and thoughtful as a leader, Jin taught me how I should always make the atmosphere around me stay good and positive, Suga taught me that the most important thing for me is to be happy and how we should rise when we fall down, J-hope taught me how to be more positive and hopeful, Jimin taught me how I should continue to learn from mistakes and never give up, V taught me how I should care and love the people around me, and Jungkook taught me to try many new things and Not afraid to try the new things. They are really mean a lot to me. And BTS really love ARMY so much like what we do to BTS too💜
the fact that we all can see how genuine you two are is just so refreshing as so many people just react to BTS for clout and don’t really have any interest in BTS and essentially just use them. 9:09 THIS!!! This is a huge reason (if not the biggest reason) as to why I started even paying attention to BTS (I watched my first video in March this year). Their love and appreciation for their fans (as a whole group but even each member individually expresses their feelings often) is so heartfelt and genuine and I have never seen nor experienced anything like it with other artists ever.

I relate so much. My heart always explodes with feels when I see them smiling, laughing, having fun, and just altogether living their best life. I believe this was for the song Anpanman but I could be wrong. The clip just immediately brings Anpanman to mind for me.
I'm 63 J-ARMY 🇯🇵. In 60' kinda life is over but I found BTS 5 years ago. They gave me new life, great energy and fun. My American husband called me crazy BTS grandma and he loves BTS too. Because BTS make me happy 😊

When people call them a "phenomenon" it just hits my ear wrong for some reason. It's not unexplainable why these men have gotten to where they are. It makes me think people don't know how much blood, sweat and tears they put into their craft. And maybe they don't considering some of the interviews they have with people who don't do any research. I get that feeling about this word too. I think it's because the way they use "phenomenon" feels like they think it's just a temporary thing. A fad that will pass eventually. At this point tho media probably noticed that it's already been 3 years since they started promoting on the US and all these boys do is get more popular by the day.

@@jade839 I just hope they start treating them accordingly. You see how awful the boys interviews in the US usually are, they treat them like kids, not musicians and they do not do research at all. BTS will have interviews with mtv & the today show at the end of the month to promote Dynamite. I swear if they ask one more time "who do you want to collab with" "who is your celebrity crush" "what's your favorite english word" instead of asking about their actual music I'm going to explode. Even US armys can't take american interviews anymore.
I feel like the industry is afraid of the boys, that's why they try to gatekeep them (besides the xenophobia itself). They have too much power and independence on their own. They can't control them bc BTS doesn't need media or industry deals to be successful. Army power is enough for that. Look at their unpromoted works, Sweet Night is an ost Tae made for a Kdrama and now it's the song with most 1# in Itunes history. Yoongi's mixtape peaked at 11# on Billboard 200, the highest for a korean soloist, even tho he released it as a surprise, did no promo for it, and even gave us a dropbox link to download it for free. Imagine if he actually promoted it? No wonder they scare the industry.

15:50 I had the exact same reaction to RM’s ment when I first watched Nobodies to Legends. I was so shocked at how strongly I felt loved, safe, comforted, and important I felt after hearing his words. And at the time, it had only been a few days after my first BTS video (Carpool Karaoke), so I was even questioning why I was feeling things so strongly when I wasn’t even certain if I was going to be into them or not. Also, how your laptop wasn’t pausing the video to let you take a second to breathe was hilarious!

Whenever “Epiphany” comes on and I see and hear the crowd, it makes me tear up. I was there for that tour and it was an emotional rollercoaster. But it’s happy tears!

BTS did train for 12-16 hours a day! Even as rookies they were highly praised for their synchronization. RM has said that while eating lunch he would watch videos of himself practicing to see what he could improve. Jimin used to sleep in the practice room. They'd go most days on 4 hours of sleep and on some important days they went over 24 hours and slept wherever they could! After practice, they went to the same restaurant and the owner said they were always dripping with sweat
Same I don’t know how people can go about life being rude to people who only have love to give. They literally care so much about there fans and are so humble for being so loved and have so much talents. So little more info. Armys have always been VERY enthusiastic. In a way I can say this enthusiasm was used by lot western media/radio
For example, Radio accounts on twt would put out polls to vote for BTS songs to be played and would ask us to follow them and whatever but would end up not playing them even when we win the polls.
Or when BTS charts on any major chart (without Radio support) hardly any media attention is given
Everytime our enthusiasm was used without really benefiting BTS in anyway
The media/radio used our views, our clicks to fill their pockets
And when we call out such behavior they suddenly pull the victim card saying we are the worst fandom and bullies etc
The fact that they weren't even that small of small artists. Their debut song debuted straight to the charts
When Namjoon says "Please use me, please use BTS to Love yourself" THIS ALWAYS HITS HARD. I always tear up even though I heard it 2000 times. I always listen to this part of the video when I feel like I want to refresh my love for BTS when I feel like I miss BTS. II feel like my heart melts when I hear that.

6:33 Actually, they just managed to win Top Duo/Group at the most recent Billboard awards so that's a first step. Before that, lots of people were making fun of them for only getting social awards in the west, even though we (the fans) were still proud of them. Now, I'm just hoping they get more awards for their music because maaaannnnn I hope you guys go deep with their music and actually look at the lyrics and the explanations because a lot of their songs are DEEP. And they helped me through many rough times in my life. Love them.

BTS’ love for their fans is something you’ll HARDLY find or see from other celebs. Yeah, most other artists thank their fans at award shows and in Instagram posts, but these guys? BTS have written songs dedicated to us, tell us that “ARMY” is the first word they’ll teach their children, get ultimately upset at the fact that they couldn’t see us during tour cause of COVID, made artworks for us are CONSTANTLY on Weverse (an app) trying to talk with ARMY and make us laugh on the app. This relationship is not even just an artist and their fans, this is a whole fkn family.
I’ve never cried for an artist before, I’ve never been so dedicated to seeing a group of people so happy, but BTS is my first. I regret nothing in finding these guys 💜✨

this past three years with bts has felt so short but it was definitely kinda hard. hate comes from all directions with them and i really can't understand why. they're amazing people. but i don't regret anything at all, they're all so sweet and talented and aware of the world. in 2017, they were at 700k sales with one album. now, in 2020, they got 3m sales in one week with one album! we _never_ imagined that! even 2m looked like a lot. but thank you guys for taking the time to get to know them. like me, im sure you won't regret it and welcome to the army💜
I've watched from nobodies to legends many times and it always hits me hard. They are the most genuine people out there. ARMY will watch anything you want to put out there and give you support like you wouldn't believe. We love these guys so much and always love finding new people to go down the rabbit hole that is BTS. The relationship between BTS and ARMY is out of this world. They blow us away with constant content. Videos, twitter, pictures, surprise songs... you never know what's coming next, except that it will be awesome. This is why we are so hardcore and supportive of them. Thank you for checking them out and giving us more content. Don't get caught up in all the demands and requests. There are a lot of us! These boys are very much precious for me ! I remember back in 2014 when there was so much hate on them and we could do nothing because we weren't that big yet especially as an international fan ! But it's very heartwarming to see them succeed like that when you start them from the beginning

It floors me when I see the 12-16 hours a day mostly when I remember that Jungkook was literally in middle school when they began so he had school on top of all this work to do. I think Tae and Jimin also still had to finish school. Love your reactions, I’ve only been part of this BTS wonderfulness for a few months and there’s soooo much to see and learn about them. My husband asked me “how much content can there be?” (I’m able to watch hours a day since I’m a teacher on summer break right now) I said, “They’ve been around 7 years. There’s a lot! As a long time army i cry everytime i remember those hard days. They deserve the world so much yet people are so mean to them. I hope there will come a time people will realize how much of an impact they can make if they'll only get to know them and their music without prejudice. Strip off the good music and dancing, they are genuinely good people who are destined together with a calling to touch lives. That's why armys are so protective of them.

BTS came in our lives the moment we needed them the most . Last year I was hating my body because of strech marks and because I didn't have a tight gap , BTS showed me the real meaning of love and helped me during this period . I'll always be thankfull to them till death

I seriously love these boys so much. They constantly are surprised at how many fans they have or that we show up to things. Like they recently posted a behind the scenes video of when they went to the iheart jingle ball in December and RM was so surprised army showed up (i was there and it was lile 99% army lol) and I'm just like BABIES YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH YOURE LOVED 😅 they are so humble 😭

I've seen this video so many times but couldn't help crying along with you. The more you look into their story the more you realize how much they've gone through to get where they are. Don't stress too much about posting all the time, we understand it can be hard to. Army can be really enthusiastic but take things in your own time! You're both so wonderful~

I am 52 yo ARMY - I loved these boys firs and now my 15 yo daughter and her best friend are ARMY too! LOVE these boys, their message and their music ! That clip of the entire concert singing "I 'm the one I should love" is the essence of them or who they are and what ARMY and BTS mean to each other- it's amazing and otherwordly.
