    The only brand new bike I have ever owned was a green, year 2000, ZX6-R J1. Full UK bike with warranty and 12 months breakdown for £4895.
    At 6’ 3” it was the only 600 that was big enough for me and we shared 23,000 happy miles together, touring, scratching and track days.
    It pains me now to see how much modern superbikes cost and how many electronic toys they deem to be essential.
    I guess it’s a case of “the older I get, the faster I was!”

      Ah, the 636. What a wonderful bike. I too gifted my 600 to my kid but he was 3 (close to 4) when I decided-- not 1.
      He couldn't handle it and said it was 'too powerful' before he accidentally whiskey throttled it and wrecked bad. I was so disappointed.
      Rip my precious little baby.

      Get it!! I put 50,000 miles, rev counter bouncing off the limiter in every gear, thrashed round the TT circuit, toured across Europe on my 2003 gixxer 600, loved every...single....mile! And left plenty of litre bikes trailing in my wake in that time, oh, and more than one 'busa! You won't regret getting one, ever.

    At 2019. Honda is the most expensive 600.. and Suzuki is the Cheapest.. in 2019 I think it's the zx6r 636..
    The weight posted here seems wrong as modern 600cc bikes today are heavier compared to the old specs here. Unbelievable.. It's wrong..

    • @Anonnymouse53
      @Anonnymouse53 Před 5 lety +6

      You'd be suprised, 600's took a diet until about 08 but piled on the pounds again after. Power to weights are still a bit better as they gained ~15bhp but a '01 GSXR600 is lighter than a '17.

    • @dxbeddy1559
      @dxbeddy1559 Před 5 lety +1

      actually, as far as i know, back at the times the weight declared was without absolutely dry, whereas now the mentioned weight consider all the due liquids..
