@@abdulkoddus608 his best year was 17/18. so saying he got better every year is not even true. and even in 17/18 he had his inconsistencies - I believe the first game he started was match day 6. 18/19 he was arguably our fourth choice winger. Bernardo and Sterling that season were absolutely clear of him. Sane's best games were better than Mahrez' best games but Sane also had absolute shockers. Like games where he lost the ball with every touch or games where he went completely missing. The latter is still happening at Bayern at times btw.
Sterling is way more consistently productive than Sane. He's hated by a lot of people and he's not as easy on the eye but he's a much more consistently productive player than Sane. Sterling has a lot more urgency to his game.
Just look at how Sterling carried a creatively/offensively dead England team in the last Euros.
Can Sane carry Germany in the same fashion?
Sane is certainly the more popular character of the two among City fans (at least now that both have left) but saying that Sane was better than Sterling (let along way better) and that he was consistently improving is just factually wrong. Peak Sterling _literally_ put up Messi numbers.
