Everything you said here is true. For the past years, I've tried a lot of weight loss fads (whole30, keto, etc). They felt so restrictive and didn't fit my lifestyle, so I ended up reverting back to my old unhealthy self.
But last month, I made a commitment to do weight loss MY way - no time or calorie restrictions, no shortcuts, focusing not only on weight but on how healthy I feel overall, to allow for slip ups, and to evaluate my relationships with food, exercise, sleep and my emotions. It is slow and sometimes I do feel impatient but whenever I catch myself feeling that I'm a little stronger, healthier and lighter, I just feel proud of myself.

i realized that most of the time i spent with my family is when we eat and i’ve been on so many restricted diets only to gain it back again and my family was eating without me...i’m going to leave for college soon and i regret not spending that extra family time...but this video was deeply needed. thank you!!❤️

I've learned so many great recipes and practical tips, and I'm finally enjoying my time in the kitchen.
THIS was SO great! Lacking self love is the exact reason I have not been able to reach my goals. Thank you for doing this and would love to see more videos focusing on mindset. It wasn't until I focused on my mind that I was able to see results and I tried about every diet out there. Now I focus on loving myself to want to take care of myself and feel good.

I definitely don’t hate myself. I just want to get a lot healthier and take better care of myself. There are just TONS of weight loss advice out there it’s overwhelming......some good tips.

I am blessed to have been led to your channel! I am 70 years old, on a year long mission to improve mind, body and soul. Last October I weighed 193 lbs.....today 153 lbs. thanks to good old fashioned hard work.....it's been a joy and the results are very exciting. I share this with you to encourage others to not fall for fad diets.....like I did.....but to simply begin making small changes in diet and get off your butt!! I began with walking and exercising at home, lost 30 lbs. Not to promote any product but I would like to share the results I've had with the Gazelle exercise glider. I HATED exercising....seemed boring and I didn't see much result. I wish every single senior citizen could own a piece of equipment like this because it works the entire body, with very little impact....and the results are evident after two months. Thanks to your wonderful, delicious recipes, and the Gazelle.....I feel like a new woman! Thank you !

I really appreciate this video and your channel. I just found it while trying to find a way to eat healthy and clean due to health reasons. I'm not here for weight issues but we can start to lose love for ourselves when we're constantly sick and tired and we can't figure out why we can't be well like other people. So thank you because these points and the ones from the How to eat healthy video you have are really great. We can't help ourselves get better if we're hating ourselves for not being well. I work on my nutritional plan to mitigate the symptoms of fibromyalgia, which I’m beginning to understand are actually caused by self doubt and self criticism. I have recently realised that a lot of my discomfort in my own body has to do with being bullied as a chubby 10 year old - not wanting to stand out or get attention for the shape of my body has driven a lot of my weight loss desire.
I have recently shifted to feeding my body enough food consistently, & now want to build muscle so that I FEEL good, MOVE comfortably in my skin & can eat in a way which satisfies my mind & body!
