The small details in the animation of the concert are really incredible in this episode. You can see everyone's various reactions to Bocchi's solo, the rest of the band wordlessly communicating via nods and glances to come in, and you can even see the exact moment that Nijika realizes that Bocchi is guitarhero, as her eyes widen just a bit at the realization.

Thanks for this react it was outstanding, I can sit with this show for hours, and watching while it's enjoyed and discussed by others is just special. A couple of thoughts; Bocchi shows in her bocchi-time scene how she can't envision a positive future, then her extended family all tell her to chill and enjoy herself, and Nijika brings it home telling her the truth. "You are guitarhero" just seems so powerful to me, it's an identity that Bocchi hides because she doesn't feel like she lives up to it and Nijika just casually brings it to light. Then "Bocchi the Rock" finishes things off, labels we give ourselves and others give us are important and Bocchi had no really positive labels. She sometimes tries on labels like "rocker chick" but they never really stick, this one is going to stick and it just feels monumentally important for Bocchi. Love this anime and episode it's a treasure.

Episode 8 is what started the Bocchi hype, especially in Japan. A day
before this episode was aired the volume 5 of the manga was released and on it included a special chapter featuring Nijika & Seika's back story. Ilts a standalone chapter tie-in for episode 8. I guess the author anticipated that people would wonder why Nijika's
dream is very important to her and her sister. I suggest you read it as soon as possible while your impression of episode 8 is still fresh, read manga chapter 65
