Dang Red Light liquors is my go to spot. The owner is a cool guy and knowledgeable. Prices are fair and for a newer store they get some solid allocation stuff. I also like how he makes it fair he rather sell to anyone versus just sell to his usual customers.
That’s awesome! Yeah, the owner seemed pretty cool! I’m definitely going to stop there any time I drive through. I stopped there last year too and their inventory definitely improved, although they had some good stuff then too, despite being a new store.
Maryland seems to always have hidden gems! Oh, Dude, you missed quite the VABC drop last Saturday! I picked up a Stagg, E.H. Taylor single barrel, Russels 15, and a Blanton's!
Thankfully I was back by then! So tired I almost didn’t go but stumbled into a Russell’s 15 and a Blanton’s 😎. I’d been searching for a rr15 the whole trip and then VA gave me a nice welcome home present. You got an amazing haul though! That’s like the best you could possibly do in one day anywhere!
@@averagejoeswhiskey There are more RR15 than the past batches of 13 (possibly combined). Crazy confluence of bigger batches and fewer buyers in 2024 is making it a great year to collect. I thought I'd spend less this year but every week new bottles come out. Thankfully my bourbon club brings in their new releases and that saves me a little money (and more importantly shelf space). Tried RR15 last week, and while it has a killer nose, the whiskey itself wasn't a $250 pour for me. It's great and the kind of thing I'd load up on for $120, but I'm not huge on paying over $10/year on anything under 20 years.
@@apeekintimeyou’re right, they dropped a ton, it felt like VA was giving them out like candy last week, everyone was posting them on the local FB and Reddit groups. Hard to say any whiskey is worth $250 but I do think it’s really good, nose and finish in particular. Not the best whiskey I’ve ever tasted but if I can find another one at msrp once I’ve finished this bottle, I think I’d buy it again.
I did see it but I think it was like $300 or something crazy. All of their top shelf bottles were priced pretty crazy. After the guy told me not to record I asked if they’d come down on the prices but they were only willing to come down like 10%.
OGD 114 is $29-32 in michigan, Buffalo trace is $25 . HH grain to glass is overpriced at that store. I would put my old dusty 2001 EW 7yr. 90 proof black label against it ALL DAY 👍. GREAT VIDEO 🥃😉 CHEERS
It wasn’t in the main whiskey section, it was near the register on a shelf behind some boxes. And at msrp, and no sales tax, and they had a second one! I probably should have grabbed both but hopefully someone else will be excited to find it!
Yes and no 😆 I still haven’t opened it, was thinking I could trade it with some other stuff for a GTS but that hasn’t materialized. Maybe I’ll open it when I hit 1k subscribers! It won’t be worth the price but I’m sure it will be good.
@@codyburgess7034 I’m with you. Hoping I’ll be able to find this year’s batch for a decent price when they come out. Last year they disappeared quick around here.

Oh heyyyyy I been there
Was in Bethany a few weeks ago and the OGD114 was wicked cheap in multiple locations. Had to grab a couple…
Good price on that KC single barrel 120 proof, $68 in michigan. You missed the 4 roses single barrel on the top shelf 😋

Next time in Bethany try Bank’s in Ocean View and Outlet in Rehobeth
Thanks! I’ll check those out next time. Didn’t get to spend as much time as I would have liked looking for bottles this time.

How do you walk in a store and find a Found North just sitting on the shelf? That’s crazy. Nice haul. Enjoy!!

Grain Glass is $99 MSRP
Yea $160 was pretty crazy. Even 99 is high for a 6-7 year from a major distillery. I would still like to try it though.
You saw treasure because you were at a museum! 😂
Indeed! But honestly I’m happier with that Found North than any of the overpriced bottles 😎
Still have buyer's remorse with the purple top?

What's the name of the first location?
Beach Liquors, in Bethany Beach.
I live 30 mins from OCEAN CITY
Ocean City has some great spots! We didn’t go there this year but I found some good bottles there last year
Bourbon make good cocktails scotch for neat sipping
I’m happy sipping either
Bro was that $5k for MM Cellar Age?
I think it was 600. Not 5k but still nuts
@@averagejoeswhiskey yeah that’s cray. I’m in for $250 but nothing higher than
