Yeah. Playing Sion, who has no built-in mobility except the ult, who stops on people/on walls. He just builds the mobility he needs. Don't forget the new champs (EVERY new champ) have one dash at least in their kit. And build mobility in runes or items.

The problem is that the game, especially top lane, is so snowbally right now you always wanna play bruiser because they are the class that benefits the most from being ahead
and also they don’t lose as much as tanks do when behind.

Bruisers don’t really benefit that much more then the average, it’s just that they are so versatile, you can build against ap, ad, you can go for heavy damage or sustain tank killer, you are just generally so well rounded that being ahead means you can kill anyone in a 1v1. Assassin for example are much better when ahead but they are useless against a chain vest or sett for example
@@sparks6177 The problem is that as an assasin you can have all the kills in the world, the enemy bruiser just buys a death dance and you can't do anything to them. It's quite infuriating. Other classes don't really have anti-assasin option on this scale.

This is why i like dota item shop a lot more, more variety and more different effects for different situations. Getting one shoy by enemy autoattacker? Halbert to disarm or ghost scepter to make them unable to auto attack you, bkb, hex staff etc etc, a lot of items that arent required to play the game but can be really good situationally.
its only a matter of time until dota makes an update and carps all over the items too
lets be real this game was always just a bad copy of dota and is gradually dying. variety was always lacking and the devs want their meta forcing people to play their way for some reason and after 10+ years the game still doesnt function properly and still has major bugs which are only getting worse.. it has come to a point where not even 200 year busted op champions can sustain the players addiction and complete item and rune reworks have no change but the skins
@@00FireFlyer00 What sucks with dota though is that its near impossible to start as a new player now. At least my experience was, the first non-bot casual games we played we got matched against people whod probably been playing for years, staggered their waves so we pushed into them, rotated around objectives and ganked like crazy, just completely dumpstered us. Then the next game it was the same thing. Seemed like a combination of awful matchmaking and a really low new-player base, and it just kills your motivation when you dont have people of your own skill level to learn against. Dota definitely always seemed like the cooler, more diverse, less anime, just overall more badass moba (at least from the outside) and even though I dont play league anymore besides arams with the boys, I'm kinda sad that I hadnt started with dota instead way back
@@twointheshoe9978 i agree. its kinda the same with any old multiplayer and dota is really old and was already old when a friend introduced me to it. even tho it was one of my first games so i had a rough start aswell i still believe its better in many cases. when u're playing against experienced gamers can learn so much and u automatically adapt to faster and high skill demanding games. ofc im not always in the mood to tryhard thats where league has its benefit. its business model is so simple that anyone who never played a game can get a penta in his first week but i still prefer the old times when games were made from nerds for nerds out of passion and not just for money when u could find almost only real skilled gamers in any game. ofc developers need to be paid for their work but if money is the main goal then everything else besides the newbie friendlyness about the game will suck. once a game is popular like lol its only about money from that point its only getting trashed with skins, bugs, bad matchmaking and other bullshit

Nah Riot needs to nerf the life steal on his passive and his Ad on structures especially on his r, cause you have a guy that literally can go 0/20 and still fuck up your turrets and your hp, I mean a champ that goes this behind should literally go afk, it's not fair that he can still go 1v9 and taking structures eventually especially if you're the enemy team that maybe is winning jungle and the other lanes, I'm sorry but this playstile that he has is not even interactive, he just goes die, farm, turret, repeat until he reaches the nexus and win

Well, thats the point. Bruisers are suposed to be superior to tanks in the side lane, but tanks are superior in teamfights. The game would be unplayable if tanks not only carry team fights, but also get to side lane for free, bcoz it would create yet again a situation (we had tank meta in the past) where teams pick 2-4 tanks and games would never end.
You missed the point, it's not that Brusiers are good at fighting tanks, it's that they are TOO good at fighting tanks

I mean there's an issue when nerfed assassins become viable building bruiser items. Bruiser meta is more sleeper than tank adc meta for sure. I'm fine w tank meta now. It's been literally 7 years. It's time. I'm sorry.
The thing with Tanks (especially Juggernauts) in League is that they, opposed to other games, don't lack damage, but rather mobility, which makes them incredibly easy to kite.
With the exception of bruisers no other class can really survive once a Tank comes close to them, resulting in a balance nightmare.
Juggernauts are not tanks. They're fighters, and many of them have the highest dmg potential in the game.
All the picked tanks have mobility though, u dot gg toplane tierlist (plat+) is literally tahm kench (mobility tank), singed (mobility tank), zac (mobility tank), mundo (exception), poppy (mobility tank) warwick, cassiopeia, shen (mobility tank), quinn and ornn (mobility tank).
In jungle the tanks in top 10 are rammus (mobility tank), zac (mobility tank), skarner (exception) and shyvana (mobility tank).
Best meta move imo is castrate bruisers and make adc only dps class vs tanks in which case we get an enchanter meta which solves tanks mobility and damage being op + a buff to mages and assassins as killing adc is way higher impact.
@@kwoltekublai3337 Yes because all the tanks have mobility its just really bad. a year ago the only tanks you would see touch meta would be the tanks that oneshot you. aka Tahm kench, ornn with their 100-0 combo thats also why lethality sion is better it oneshots.

In addition: tanks got the blame for a meta that wasn't their fault. I remember season 7. That was ardent censer season, but people whined just as much for a supposed "tank meta". But it didn't happened because tanks were strong, it happened because the game was played around funneling everything to bot lane and tanks were a better "support" than bruisers.
We don't have specialized anti-tank itens and anti-tank champions anymore. We have itens and champions who are strong all around and happen to have good anti-tank properties. Basically every other champion have true damage or %health damage nowdays. Divine Sunderer, Bork and Black Cleaver are all great itens who happens to counter tanks as well. You don't need to go out of your way to shred tanks anymore.
We got to the point where Goredrinker/Sterak's Gage is the 2 item combination that makes one hardest to kill. The only item in the game that gives damage reduction gives AD and no health. With so much anti-tank stuff going around, healing and shielding has became the best tank stat in the game.
Most tanks became irrelevant in the jungle because it became so farm heavy. Slow clears were once just a weakness. Nowdays they're a death sentence and most tanks don't farm very fast.
Up top lane, many tanks could get a good laning phaze off with double doran's, allowing them to have good early poke and mana sustain. But you can't stack doran rings anymore. And there's doran's shield, second wind and basically every top laner having sustain nowdays, so poke is a borderline dead playstyle.
Last but not least, tank itens suck because if tank itens become good, non-tanks will probably use them better. Its more likely for tank Ekko or tank Fizz to become a thing again than for Maokai to make a comeback.
Tanks were dead from 2k18 to 2k21 and even though Riot sent many buffs their way in 2k22, their comeback was only minor. Top lane is still about bruisers, jungle is still about power farm carries and bot lane is still about enchanters.
keep copin tank player, tanks are the most broken , always have been and always will be, pro play literally proves it, just check what champions are being played there , it always minium 2 tanks per team, there hasnt been a single assassin in any proplay game nowadays, in high elo tanks are overpowered, sadly assassins were the ones who got nerfed with durability patch, going from worst class in the game into pure wintrading class XD

People on this game tend to fall on the Mt. Stupid part of the dunning-kruger curve wayyyy too often. Can't accept that a class has counters so they are just going to use their buzzword of the month that they learned from their favorite streamer to dismiss your whole point while totally ignoring it (Copium is really in atm or so it seems), I see it all the time.
Tanks arguing about bruisers being op.
Adc's arguing about assassins being op.
Assassins/Bruisers/Juggernauts talking about heavy cc/peel supports being op.
Control/poke mages arguing about enchanters being op.
Supports arguing other supports are op because they counter their whole playstyle (Pykes going on Ali is a fun one although totally understandable, that lane is unplayable for Pyke assuming equal skill)
It's just the way people in this game operate. Unless a tank is 1v1ing a fed adc or something akin to that, which just goes against the whole design philosophy of the role system, I don't see a problem; but then you see an ADC main malding over a 16 lvl Ornn who's 2/0/4 killing their lvl 13 1/3/2 ass and i can't help but laugh and then feel sorry.
@@NeODeLeuX 9 times out of 10 you are correct, but it is still fun to write out my thoughts. And who knows? Sometimes I get that 1 out of 10 scenario and get to have a nice talk from time to time. I'm not losing anything because if someone comes at me calling me a tank main despite having Shaco on my pfp and fifty Shaco clips on my channel, I can just ignore it.
Subjectivity is truth to a point, but 2018 to 2021 have been a very rough period for mages and tanks. Tanks were only a force on support in 2k18 and 2k19, but since 2020 enchanters have been on a continuous rise. It was at around that time roaming and early plays started playing a bigger role in the game. Players got better and the game evolved. Getting a vulnerable mage have bad roams and can't skirmish no longer made mid lane. It has became an outdated playstyle so they lost a lot of space. I don't feel the need to say what happened to tanks since I already went over it.
Riot gave a bump back up for them in 2022, and overall they're on a better spot than they used to be. Tanks still aren't the optimal pick in any role, but they're at least somewhat playable now. With mages its a bit more complicated because only battle mages and scaling mages were favored. The likes of Veigar, Viktor and Anivia are thriving. Meanwhile, LeBlanc, Syndra and Zoe got even worse.
I, personally, dislike this season because we're basically in league of rubber band now. Riot's been making increasingly difficult to get things done early. Directly with the TP rework, the scuttle crab nerfs and the durability patch, but also indirectly. It is one thing to have Renekton top, TF mid and Thresh support, but nowdays I look top and all I see is Kayle, I look mid I have a Viktor and I look bot and there's a Lulu. Getting stuff done is only possible if the enemies are mispositioning really hard. And even when I can make it, I can be a 3/0 Elise and still not be sure if I am really stronger than the 0/0 Shyvana who's been slaping camps all day. If you don't play something that scales, you're always a single mistake away from losing the game.

Imo, Riot's push to make support more enjoyable to play by giving them more agency has worked on that front, but it has also diminished the other role's agency, and in the case of top and jungle it's even more noticeable.
As a jungler you can have either the most impact on the game or the least, and most of the times is not even up to you but to your teammates to be the deciding factor on if you get to play the game proactively or reactively.
And well, toplane's island problem has only been getting worse each season.
Riot on their pursuit of making support better indirectly made the other roles worse (more evidently on the previously mentioned).
I also find this season kind of a drag and not enjoyable at all as I played mostly Jg and Top before season 9 but as we get closer to current time i had to start playing mid to have any kind of impact on the game before it's over.
I used to feel games were decided by the better players on both teams now it feels the worst player is the one that seals your fate, or at least that's how i've been feeling it the last few years.
Hearing how jgl is all about power farmers made me realize why Bel'Veth is good in the meta. If she was released back then she wouldn't be as bad as she is now due to Jgl being punishing since it didn't have the comeback mechanic it has now

I agree that bruisers have very good items to deal with tanks, but the thing is bruisers are ment to outscale them. Usually, and this isn't always the case but in most cases a bruiser does barely anything against stat sticks that tanks are early game. If the tank plays well he will create a lead for himself untill the bruisers get their powerspikes to the point they can deal with them. Before then its usually a real pain in the ass for bruisers to lane against tanks. If you find yourself playing a tank into a bruiser, bully them early on, create leads and then force teamfights. Bruisers can kill tanks, but tanks usually have significant more cc and better teamfighting than any bruiser does. Sidelaning on the other hand is going to be a nightmare if the bruiser gets their powerspike, but it would be unfair for them to lose both the teamfights and the sidelaning part against the tank. Weird spot to be in, but if either side gets nerfed the other will just take over toplane as a whole and the other will feel super weak to play.

The reason tanks loose to bruisers is because of lifesteal, it's not calculated with how much health was lost but instead effective health, so how much DMG the attack does

Bruisers are hard to balance. Overwatch is a good example: If they don’t do enough damage no one wants to play them, but if they get the best of both world - damage and tank stats, then the problems start and it becomes a viscous cycle of nerf and buff.

@@Tom-jy3in back in the days (and I mean like S2,3) there isn't really a thing called bruisers. Almost all of toplane champion including champs like renekton, IRE, etc, will eventually build into a semi tank. And the triangle is almost perfect I will say, ADCs counter tank, tank counter mages, mages counter ADCs

Bruisers either do a stupid amount of damage and one shot ADCs or being so hard to kill because of all those items/skill that heals them. Then there is going to be someone that says "ADCs can kite easily" simultaneously forget about Camille, Ire, fiora, or even a Olaf with ghost and Ult on. ADCs can shut down bruisers yes, but it only happens when they are so ahead that they have enough as and damage to do the kiting

They've kept polarizing champion classes for the past 2-3 seasons, It's insane how they've just now reacted to it with the durability patch, and I fear it's stil not enough. They've toned down Assassins > ADC's / Mages, but haven't done much about Bruisers > Tanks. Only reducing healing and not nerfing %hp dmg didn't affect the situation. It still feels like Bruisers > All.
no point going glass cannon if the bruiser can survive your nuke AND THEN kill you, your team, and your base.

IMO... kill all the anti tank items and bring back old conquerors with the armor shred. Then you only have to balance one way to kill tanks. It also doesn't help that all the best bruiser damage items also are tank counters. Idk why sunderer even exists. Its just better trinity force with healing, even more than gore when used on low cd champions. (Sincerely- a filthy jax main)

I think the issue is rather that bruisers Have access to Deaths Dance AND all the tank items, so they are just slightly worse tanks while dealing a lot more damage.

also non tank classes have it way easier to earn gold thus get more items and be even stronger because they just tend to deal more damage to structures, are faster at clearing jungle or have an easier time just killing the enemy laner and thus snowball. back in the days this wasnt a problem ofc tanks always used to get less money than other roles but riot took a path where it is really easy to snowball for assasins, adcs, mages, junglers of any sort of role and most of the tanks are just left behind and cant climb the gold curve as fast as other roles. lol idk why i spent so much time wrinting this bullshit
I think this view of the game is a missing a bit of stuff. Tank item components are ridiculous (bami's, warden's mail, etc) and tanks share an item pool with many support items, which are super cheap and gold efficient. It doesn't matter if I have less gold if im ornn going third fourth items knights vow redemption. Support items on tanks are busted, and tank components have super hard spikes often letting you sit on the component instead of finishing the item. Tanks also benefit HUGELY from ability haste, and since their main job in a fight is to A) be alive and B) CC everything they can, their very easy access to high haste numbers means they get off many more spell rotations every fight meaning their ability scalings are magnified. (I don't know if i explained that, but if the key example is zyra. zyra's ap scaling on plants looks bad if you just look at it. But if you think about how she can spawn many many plants, and how the plants deal their attack damage many many times per fight, she actually has some of the best AP scaling in the game. if ability a scales with 100% ap but can be used once a fight, it "scales" worse than an ability that scales with 50% ap that is used 3 times a fight). When you combine this all together it turns into -> tank items are easy to build because the components are super strong on their own -> tank items are utilised insanely well due to the haste synergies (can't run through 100 rotations of your spells in a fight if you get oneshot, but tanks dont have this issue making their ability to get many rotations off super reliable and thus super synergystic -> support items are extremely cheap, gold efficient, and readily built in the role. Demolish + herald also allow for lots of gold generation potential for tank classes, and while tank snowballs aren't as easy, if you the right tanks the right way its kinda impossible to get bullied out of a lane and go down 100cs. If you vs a smart chogath on anything but the hardest of counters you pretty much can never get a cs lead, no matter how much you bully him.

Nerf bruisers and tanks so other classes have easier time dealing with them, adcs should be in theory the best class to be able to beat tanks because they have consistent high dps so bruisers being able to deal with tanks more easily than adcs makes no sense
Adcs should never be able to kill a tank in 1v1 fight. It’s not their job to kill a tank. Adc’s job is to make the most damage overall, not to single target.

@@pete_5225 Well yes, but they are generally speaking the biggest counters to ADC's because of their high DPS, I mean they are literally ranged statsticks.
The reason they shouldn't win is because they are squishy, not because they don't deal enough damage (unless the ADC is way behind an armor stacking tank).
That's what the support and tank roles are for, to protect the damage dealers and assisting them in safely dealing damage.
