- Not a whole lot of information out there about these VLAND F-150 projector headlights so I wanted to make a review video. I took a chance on them and overall I'm very satisfied with the performance. The light output is superior to any other headlight I've tested and they do have a neat DRL function. Yo! Finally someone else got these joints and made a video cause mine suck! Lmfao was trying to make another video since I’ve had mine for about 2 years now. Always get compliments on them just about every week. Looking to change some ish up on them next year, pop em open and paint them. Will give an update one day on them, aka no problems at all!

I’ve had mine for about 9 months now they work great the only problem I’ve had with them is my passenger side blinker doesn’t work. It’s a wiring problem but other than that they’ve worked great.
Good video and explanation. Glad to see you still responding to comments. I just installed these last week, And these do have a slight "step up" to the right of the cut off line. Also figured out that the drivers side L&R adjustment is opposite the passenger side. I haven't installed the "acc" wire yet, I guess this is for the DLRs? When in auto mode, my headlights come on in DLR mode just like factory but not the amber Dlr. Maybe this wire? In my opinion, the Amber does look good especially with the amber "Raptor" grill lights. Yes the single wire has to be hooked up to a 12v ignition source to power the DRL
Wish the ones I got. Had the amber start up sequence, instead of the white one. Truck looks awesome 🤙🏼

Thanks for the review. I have Morimoto Hybrids on my 16' and I'm not a fan. They look just like yours do with a focused pattern way out front. How are these on wet black top compared to the Hybrids? Where I live, I drive a lot of heavy oncoming traffic, asphalt back roads and when wet the Hybrids really fall flat.
These are a night and day difference, literally. From the front of the truck to the cutoff line, it's a blanket of super bright light. I couldn't be happier. And when you need the brights, it's football stadium lights time.
I don't think any light works great on wet roads....JMHO.

Great
AM radio is a lot lower frequency than FM and therefore not as prone to interference to your local issues.
looking to purchase these for my 15 platinum but im a bit confused on the description says it fits xlt king ranch platinum and limited but says not fit factory oem led??
These lights are for halogen replacement only. Headlights with factory LEDs have a completely different harness
Those look great! I could do without the startup sequence/fancy light tricks, just seems like something else that could go wrong.
I think I’d prefer a white outline instead of amber (blue jeans truck). That output looks amazing and I’d been wanting the XB Hybrids but this might sway me to the VLands. Thanks!
They are way better than the XB hybrids. I also did not need the animation with the lights but the amber does look good.
Is there not a way to get rid of that sequence
@@jessejamestx8993 There are 2 wires connected together on the back of the housing that has a tag on it that says to unplug for no animation.

Hey, I just got these for my 15 f150, and my cutoff line looks like the morimotos did on the video, is there a way you got your cutoff to be so straight? Horizontal adjustment?
That's the way they came. Mayb vland changed something?
@JackofAllMasterofNone I beleive they did because I just got mine today and installed and have the step down cut off 😡😡😡 Suchhhhh a pain to align. I am super confused on how to align them.
Do the drl’s match the amber lights on the grill? Or are they a different?

How long will these last seeing that you cannot change low or high beams?
Had them for over 2 years so far and they are still just like new.

No they are not.
Hmmmmm I just installed my Vlands and have a damn step-down cut off and very confused on how to align them..Any help is appreciated.
Someone else made a similar comment. VLAN must have changed The cutoff on the low beam headlight. I'm not sure why they would do that since they were perfect before
@JackofAllMasterofNone yes sir. Just got confirmation from Vland. They did change cut off to step down to diferanchate from other countries. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. I asked them what the best way is to properly align the step down because it's a pain in the ass!! I messed with them for 2hrs till 9pm. Had to put back together and leave as is for now till this weekend. But other than that I love them! @@JackofAllMasterofNone
I just installed them in my truck and I do not have a straight cut off. I got the step cut off I’m kinda sad about it.
@chevyrado08 definitely sucks. Part of my DRL is out also. So I'm waiting on a reply back from Vland for replacements and HOPING they still have some of the flat cuts off they can send me. 🙏🙏🙏
I saw online they have a few adjustments one goes up and down one side to side when it warms up I’ll take it apart and play around with adjustments hopefully solve it if not it is what it is. Hopefully your issues is resolved seems like drls are common to go out hopefully they last
Is the animated turn signal optional?
It's the DRL that's animated, not the turn signal. And no, there is no way to turn it off.
@@JackofAllMasterofNone My headlights came with 2 small wires connected together coming out with the wiring harness that has a tag on them that says to unplug to stop the animation.
How’d you get them to light amber?
That’s how they’re made from vland for the 15-17

@@JackofAllMasterofNone You could try running it without the harness for the DRL as the factory wiring should give it power. If your DRL is the low beam you can change that with forscan.
I just installed these and have not yet hooked up the ACC wire, which I guess is for the DLRs when lights are not in auto, And yes there is radio interference but mostly when I'm far from the radio station. Goes almost completely away when I'm more in range of the station.
