I just got the console, and I can confirm, that it is one of the most enjoyable consoles for collecting games

It’s a matter of opinion but I’d recommend Zombi U, the Zelda remasters, Mario 3D world, sonic lost world, breath of the wild and hyrule warriors to name a few
I have a switch but i really miss my wii u
for me i like my wii u because you dont have too spend 50$ a year too paly older vitual console games game boy and advance and game cube and n64 and nes snes you can play so many when modded . i added all the pokemon gen 1 -5 games on my wii u yet on the switch you need too pay 50$ a year
I sold my Wii U to buy my switch and I’ve been missing it so much so I just bought a Wii U and six games for 210 including wind waker
@@roninstormYT I recommend you Bayonetta 2, Yoshi Woolly Land, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Zombie U, The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, and Xenoblade chronicles X.
I remember being so excited that Nintendo was dipping into the 3rd party game world with Madden , CoD and all that n then they just said nah after that
Yeah EA never really saw the potential the WiiU had

I just started to play my Wii u again after not playing it for a few years. I am having a blast.
Reassuring. I just purchased my first one for a (I think) steal. Never owned the original Wii (movement controls seemed too gimmicky to me), thought the Wii U was just an upgraded original Wii for the longest time (the U makes it sound like it) but can now possibly play some GC and later stuff handheld easily without emulation. Am very excited. You wouldn't happen to know where to start when it comes to modding (to play downloaded image files)?

I just started breath of the wild for the first time.. I'd definitely recommend getting a set of the cheep amebo cards
It's the go to rig even when you have a switch, PS4 - 5....
Frankly it's a little bit like Led Zeppelin when only a few journalists gravitated towards their new sound. The rest just didn't get it until later only to realise that they aren't as smart as they'd like to think they are. I'm quite smug that I kept this ToysRUs looking console with a remarkable library of games. It's nice to see these amazing games getting recognition on the switch at least but I prefer playing them on the Wii U as they were intended. Great channel 👍
I own a Wii U but I would still only reccomend it of you want to collect its now-small number of exclusives or, whether 1st party or 3rd party, physical ported titles that are cheaper on the Wii U than they might be on the Switch or other consoles. Xenoblabe Chronicles X, Tank Tank Tank and Nintendoland are all good examples of exclusives worth playing, but to buy a whole console for? That's something only potential buyers can answer for themselves. Other titles like Pokmen Tournament, Mario 3D World, Boyonetta 1+2 and DKC Tropical Freeze all have Switch ports but may be found cheaper on the Wii U. Again, that's up to the consumer whether or not these elements make the Wii U console worth buying.
You have to turn up the color setting on your TV when playing Twilight Princess HD

Hard to believe that it was November 2012. I just graduated high school in may 2012 so I was already 19, I got the Wii-U day one, and was enjoying it, and it was my favorite gaming time in my life, I loved the games like Smash, Ninja Gaiden3, DKC tropical freeze, Mario Kart 8, Xenoblade X, but what I really loved was Miiverse I drew so much on there.
Since I just graduated I really didn't have that much money at the time, since WII U really didn't have many games releasing it was perfect for me, I was able to play and beat the ones I did get. Yet ended up being one of my favorite systems of all time. I even enjoyed it more than I do the Switch.
I'm surprised you didn't get Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, that was so good, and played that until Mario Kart 8 came out.
Awesome history with the console! I did get sonic and all stars racing transformed just not on WiiU I own it on the psvita, although I do plan on grabbing a copy of it though on the WiiU

This was an end of an era for Nintendo in that reguard, it truly will be missed
I want a Wii U so badly. But My Mom won’t let Me Buy One.

You cant change the controls on BO2? I thought u can use the wii mote, gamepad or the pro controller?
I am wondering if I should buy one currently, I have enough money for it but should I really buy it now?
Well the Nintendo games that are exclusive to that title can only be played on there, but with the marketplace shutdown and the severs turned off, it is a hard sell

Buy Wii u and hack it then download games for free
One day but also I’m loving the base vanilla experience at the moment
