My 09 Dodge Grand Caravan also has no built in items. It is nice I can unload the whole van and take it in a couple times a year to get the interior cleaned. Amazing the amount of storage there is once all the seats are removed also. I always tell folks to keep it simple. I am someone who just slept on the floor for the longest time and then upgraded to a roll up mattress. Now I have a small fold up cot since being off the floor in cold weather is better. Not as cold that way.

I love seeing how people incorporate their pets and that's one of the main things I search for while I'm researching this lifestyle in case I might have to do it I have three small Chihuahuas and an indoor duck so making space for them and me would be my main priority I'm a prepper and I already had my SUV meet out as a bug out vehicle but I'm going and looking on CZcams and seeing how people are setting things up and what it can use because I can't build anything nor I can buy a platform or anything so I'm working with what I got and also I can't remove the seats out of my SUV because I'm looking to trade it in once I get the title I'm going to be working on trying to find one of those vans with the beds in the back and with the high tops we had one when we went to go on vacation and it was purple and I loved it and it's kind of like what I'm looking for

I love your van . I’m a 59 year old lady and I’m currently living with my dad I take care of him he’s 91 years old . My plans are to buy a van and live in it when he passes away . I get his house when he dies but my profession ( hotel housekeeper) doesn’t pay much where I live at Flushing Ohio so it would be hard to pay my utilities and still have any money left over for anything else . So my plans are to rent the house out and live in my van . I really like your van but I think I need one where I can walk around in it . But it’ll all depend on what I can afford . Stay safe and hope u have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year . And who cares if your doors a different red . It opens and closes that’s all u need .

I definitely can't sit on my bed. I think I'm going to take off for the RTR and if I like traveling as much as I think I will, then I'll have the back seats and the back plastic cargo box that's set in the floor taken out.

@@janieleishman9130 ok not that u asked or even care but this kinda gets me thinking creatively wen I type so I'm just throwing stuff I wish I knew before. OK the humidity/window fogging is irritating wen u gotta get going. Tried a humidity box thing from the 1 store. Kinda helped . Idk if it's my city. Houston . Or if I did get enough of them idk. Um let's see me personally I don't cover my windows . Only the windshield if I gotta cook at night. In a parking lot or something. Me personally I love seeing the view and I definitely want to see if someone or something is coming in my area. In my opinion I don't worry because I'm not doing nuthing illegal. Like drinking or hanging outside the car. I keep 2 urine containers. Along with my colapable tolite. I'm 45 lol things happen. I also keep good garbage bags the stretch kind that smell like lavender or something. The bags for the toilet are 9 buks for 10. That's crazy to me. 5 bucks for 40 is better. Good places so far to park are Sam's lowes homedepot, no city parks tho they ran me off my first night lol. Um let's see junk yards are fun to me personally cuzz u can find all sorts of goodies. Plus it cheap . I keep my van original and clean I don't wanna stand out. Wasatiera are good too. I cook alot so I usually keep wash dishes next to a water fill machine. I got lucky yesterday it was all in the same parking lot. So I washed all my dished after I cook then filled up my water tank and went to wash clothes and I find things to do while my clothes are washing. For me I'm active so I never get bored really. My only concern now is gas money. I have no work rn that's why I got into this but hope that helps God bless

I have a Home Depot bucket with screwcap until I managed to get my hands on a couple of 3 gallons buckets but using one with a screwcap I bought in my full size van. Because it is shorter, it works better for me and I am tall. It'll hold plenty before you have to empty it. She probably be better with 3 gallon bucket especially in the minivan.

Amanda has created a simple set up which suits her travel and work requirements.
The 'No Build, Build' is infinitely variable and can be made to suit any size vehicle and lifestyle.
It may also be achieved with virtually no financial outlay.

A no-build is a creative way to downsize and use those items you will need, some “keepers” and donate the rest.
I recently moved into a 1-bedroom apartment with my cat. Having gone through a downsizing and parcelling out to cousins on bot sides pf my family as well as my brothers’ daughter, husband and 7 children, I don’t have much more to toss out. I am hoping to have a Ford Transit250 to fix up and move into.
My plan is to keep the apartment and travel, etc. part-time with my cat.

This is great!!! Maybe not expertly done but it works. Now this is just what someone like me needs, yes Obviously I would love to have a custom fully decorated for my taste but realistically that’s not what I can afford, so this would be perfect. Thanks for sharing, good luck to all

Amanda: FYI - "Costrd" is not a word. Cost is both the present tense and the past tense. Enjoy your travels!

I’m sure public speaking and just speaking in general creates space for accidental misspeak.

I really like her open floor concept. The only thing different with my mini van is I have a japanese futon that I keep rolled up. so the bed isnt down all the time.
