A friend called the police when some lads tried to break into his shed. They then went into a a small housing estate with only one way in and out. They didn't have anyone available. In frustration he said not to worry, he's just get the gun out. His son in law followed the criminals and gave a running commentary to 999. 5 minutes later two cars pulled up, 4 armed response with guns drawn came to the guys door demanding he came out with hands raised. They wanted his gun, which never existed. They then spent half an hour reading him the riot act about threatening behavior and wasting police time. This is while his son in law is miles away still chasing the bad guys. The police are a waste of space. I know others who have had similar experiences and not \ jot done about the criminals. What I want to know is, what did they do about that anti reporting Ollie for shooting? Nothing I bet....

A lot of police officers are ex military. They have been away on tours for years hence they are on high alert when firearms are involved. The Police service also has a large number of different departments where officers specialise and only deal with certain areas of the law. The Police can be alikend to a heart surgeon who wouldn't undertake hip surgery. Thus every officer doesnt know every aspect of the law. A barrister who deals with property disputes in court wouldn't deal with a business contract breach.

Leave our countryside and wildlife alone. Stop interfering. It does not need human intervention of any kind. As for the armed police why don't they patrol the streets that are raped in knife crime. No wonder Britain is a total mess. To much uneeded interference

british countryside one hundred percent needs human intervention unless that is you want to introduce lynx and wolves back into the uk and actually make it happens

Imagine being this stupid and trying to comment on this. If you do not intervene, then deer and other grazers will keep the countryside as an empty wasteland, destroying shrubs and trees before they have a chance. The countryside desperately needs human intervention, and you are a clueless prick.

After having been reported for legally shooting on my permission. I was called by the police who verified who I was and where I was shooting. The police came out to see me on site, checked my shotgun serial number and then advised me to phone 101 every time before I go shooting. I live in the north of Scotland so whoever answers the phone, somewhere in the Central Belt presumably, will probably have no idea where I am geographically. I tried to phone on two occasions going forward and could not get through due to “a high volume of calls!”

If you go on private land without permission with a gun that’s armed trespass and your feet won’t touch when the armed police turn up! That’s if they do their job properly, so won’t be holding my breath! Act Accordingly!🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🇮🇱🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🌺💪👍
