Event summary: Valentine's Day is approaching and Ichika and Nene are troubled over what gifts they should get. After asking Honami about it, both of them decided to make scented candles by hand. Meanwhile, Kanade, who's also wondering what she should get for Valentine's Day, ended up discussing things with Honami as well...

At least for me, why i love these cards (Nene and Kanade) is because they give the feeling of a luxurious chocolate shop, you can almost smell the scent of chocolate and the pop of colors that go so well with the brown makes it feel warm and calming.

I feel like talking about which birthday gachas are overlapping with the event would be a good idea. Luka's anniversary is starting tonight and will be extremely useful for the virtual singer event this year. The art for the cards in this event look really good. The Len card frustrates me so much.
Len keeps being a stick in everyones wheelhouse, this is like the 4th mixed event in a row where Len just kneecaps the entire event team building uuuuhhhhhgggg
I will consider adding the Birthday, but problem with say Luka that is today the 30th is that if you watch the video tomorrow when the event starts the information would already be dated

But since you talked about the unciming event featuring Ichika as the main character, I hesitate a little to pull... Whil the selection is limited i have the on this blank canvas i paint kanade, the Ichika 4* and the len bug card (almost forgot the nene tondemo card). i will take this opportunity to try getting the kanade card maybe but even then i can get more crystals.

I actually cringed when I first made my team a couple days ago, so I’m glad that’s it’s not on the fault of bad pulls but bad selection. At least I won’t be the only one with trouble getting a good team.
I have both 3-stars, but absolutely no 4-stars (even tho Ichika was my Dream Pick). Nene is her initial 2-star, Len is his White Day star (I’m gonna have to reevaluate because I just gave up trying to figure out the best card for him), and literally all I have for Ichika is her 1-star 😭
It’s insane. I’ve actually never had to team-build with a 1-star thus far.
For the gacha, I can kinda see where people like these cards but for the most part I agree with you that the card art isn’t as enjoyable as a lot of other cards.
I like Nene’s untrained much better because of the character interaction, and despite the fact that Ichika is my favourite character, I really don’t care for her card at all. Kanade’s is my favourite trained and I still don’t really feel compelled to have her even though it’s a limited event.
As far as the costumes, I think the hairstyles look kinda weird in-game, and the costumes are cute but not groundbreaking.
I just managed to escape having to use a one star personally by having all 2 stars in the game but this event is BLEAK, and it isn't even the worst this year. We have two events upcoming, one soon and another more towards the tail end which are the TWO WORST EVENT SELECTION since YEAR 1. So look forward to that.

Yeah you should probably drop len altogether and just use whatever cool type 4* card you have with an upgraded mastery rank, Len won't give any extra percentage unless he's in the N25 subgroup or no subgroup at all, so wxs len is only 25%, not worth having another 2* in your team

I think that it looks better without the card art as im more interested in the costumes more than anything very rarely on card art alone
and i think that you may have missed one color variant for the costumes, but i may be wrong
since you may have not shown them since those are at mastery rank 5 and almost no one goes that far for a color variation
aside from that everything is great so keep it up
PD: absolutely loved that rant on the 50% bonus part
I will have to consider how to do the costumes moving forward since I can't seem to find a way that pleases everyone, some people thought it was jarring without the card art, and some seem to like it without. I was thinking of making monthly costume updates and removing the part entirely from the videos but people didn't seem fully keen on that either. This is difficult haha

KANADE COME HOME PLSSSSS
I wanted to pull for Kanade. I had 230 pulls. But I collect all N25 cards, so I decided to pull Mafuyu birthday before.
Welp.
2023 Mafuyu was sparked. Yeah, 100 pulls and 0 Birthday cards. But 2024 Mafuyu was obtained from a single pull!
Anyway, 130 pulls are nearly not enough to guarantee Kanade. Maybe next time

I would pull, but I'm saving for the 'Our Escape for Survival' event. Idk if I should risk my crystals for Kanade, considering that the only 'Cool' atribute cards I have for her are her two star card, and her three star card.
Three star cards are super strong especially at M5 so don't feel like you need to pull to get a "Cool" Kanade card, instead save for OEfS if that's what your aiming for!

Im love Valentine's Day cards!!! I find myself liking Kanade and Nene cards the most, Idk why but I feel like Ichika's card is kinda...not giving Valentine's Day sure there is like chocolate but I dont get the same vibe as Kanade and Nene. As for the Costumes I like all of them. As for Hair styles I feel like Nene's only goes with that costume Ichika's and Kanade's have more versatile hairstyles. Im going to summon and maybe like try to get t5000. I wish everyone luck with their pulls and have a wonderful day/afternoon/night!!!
It's always fun hearing your guys opinions on cards I personally don't jive with, It means that all cards get the love they deserve even if I can't give it.

i might do one 10 pull on the gacha so i can maybe get the 4* Ichika card to use for the mixed event. Anyways this event is quite important, since right after this event is at the end of the unraveled threads (the event i'm gonna tier). WIsh anybody luck tiering and pulling on this event, but i'm gonna be preparing my resources for the next event^^
feedback: personally i think adding the cards is a bit redundant since most people would already know how the cards would look like. But at the same time, there are some people who don't know, so i think maybe adding the card art when you are talking about the team selection would be the best choice? i don't know, but i hope this feedback is useful
I have been tinkering with adding the card art in a new way to the "Card and costume showcase" so I can shorten that section while still keeping the card art and costume showcase intact
I started adding the 70% bonus section for the reason of showing the cards themselves at least their icons to give some sort of context, will consider if the full card art could be added! Thanks for the feed back! it's super loveley to have a community who is so willing to share their opinions

For tiering, I’m actually struggling with Nene, bc for example, I (somehow) managed to get the 1st anni Ichika in the 2nd anniversary WITHOUT even choosing her for my rate ups, for Kanade I have the 3*, for Honami I have her 4* from the stage of Sekai, and for Len (I’m a Niigo Len Oshi) I OBVIOUSLY have his 4* and is my fav four star in the game, However for Nene………. I only have her 2*………

It hurt me so much to hear that the clothes and cards aren't that good 😭, I love these cards so much, especially Kanade's (I love Kanade so much), I think Kanade with short hair is so cute, Nene's hair, I think it doesn't matter, but I think Ichika's hair on her shoulder is very beautiful, Ichika and Nene's clothes are also beautiful, Kanade's I don't think is as good as either of them, but I'll still do my best to get Kanade (it'll be painful because her birthday is soon)
I mean if you think the cards are beautiful they are good! Don't let my opinion decide the value of the cards! I just share it to give some perspective into the events and options :D Plus Kanade and Ichika has plenty use in the future so I def think the cards are good, just not what I like

I have a question what is the event bonus of a rate-up card on M2 I'm really curious since I'm planning on tiering on kitty event
A event focus card with M2 has 81% boost (M5 currently on EN only gives 15% so 1 = 10% and then 2-5 gives 1% each ((changes third anni for us))) And then it will have
11% if nothing matched
36% if either character or attribute matches
61% if both character and attribute matches in all subsequent events
Left aside the fact that I'm a Nene fan and would like to have all her cards, I honestly don't like this cards... I mean I do like Ichika's and Kanade's but this set in general... I dunno, give me the creeps in a way, I don't know why exactly but it feels... Wrong... So I'll simply use the cards I already have (I do have the colorfes Ichika and love her so much so I'll use it) and see what happens in tiering.

That is a valid reason to not summon from the event. It might be the slight doll like objectification of the girls in the trained card art that makes it feel iffy for you. Nene will have several cards upcoming
She has cards in March, (Dark Circus) June, (Quagmire, Nene focus event) August, (Arc ender) November, (Lim) and January, (Newest JP event) so you def have other options to give Nene the attention she deserves!

I wanna know if I should use my M5 3* kanade or M2 Bday Kanade (bday skill is maxed and 3* is lvl 3)
I rlly like Kanade and it sux if I can only use her 3* OR her bday after waiting so long to use her bday card (ive used that card over 1.3k times as my leader)

If the 3* kanade has a scoring skill then go with the 3* one, although if the 3* kanade has a life recovery or a perfect locking skill then go with the bday card, although if you like both cards, I'd say just switch one card each day lmao I do that too!!
Well bday it is, 3* does GOOD > PERFECT so eh, heals and score boost worth it more lol
Theoretically she should use M2 birthday as it has a 56% bonus and the M5 3* card is only going to have 55% bonus. In events event Bonus goes above everything else if you are not building a support team or a score team, but for these to work you need an entire group to constantly play with. Plus the Birthday card has more power than the 3* card, so even if we disregard the Event bonus it should be the birthday card, at least I think so from my calcs.
what do I do, I have almost 10k and i'm saving for HonaKanaEmu marriage event but I REALLY want nene and / or kanade :(((( do I attempt a ten pull or two, or do I keep it all and pull on a rerun

Ena is 6 events away in March, so you still have some time to save, still seems like the best course of action to skip so you can make sure you can get Ena.

We have not gotten a single piece of official mention or confirmation that it is Febuary 5th, it is highly doubtful that it will be Feb when the JP run was April and EN's run of Memory of Sin was later than the Japanese original run.

personally when compared to other cards I've also found the cards to be bland.. I have particular events I'm saving for (2.5 anni and our escape for survival).. I love the Nene outfit and haircut but the rest isn’t interesting enough for me...
I mainly watch these now to see my likelihood of needed to spend energy or not since I always try to get top 5,000 in every event.. so I understand that my opinion also isn’t the majority
No no I agree this is personally a bland event and it's really good to have a plan that you are saving for so you don't miss out on cards you do like.

My team for this event is so wacky, I luckily managed to pull Len's Bug card during new year's pulls and I have both a Honami and Kanade that work, which is great, but Nene and Ichika are stuck with 2stars which sucks... I think these cards are nice enough but they're just not my style personally, this gacha is an easy skip for me. I would like the costumes more if they weren't so brown, and the hairstyles are underwhelming at best, so my opinion is pretty similar to yours in this case.
Yeah event teams are a real mixed bag this time around, seems like your event is at least functioning, but this really is just not a great line up. (Still this event is WAY better than the two worst upcomming events which are real YIKES)
It's fair feeling like the cards just dosen't vibe, hope your next gacha goes well when you do decide to summon!

I'm skipping this event because I don't like the cards in this set. And the only 1 I would like to have would be the ichika card. For me all the other cards are meh. But if anyone feels the same way as me do not pull for only 1 card from a set you most likely will not get it and you're odds are against you. But I'm probably going to pull on never give up cooking all tho I don't care for the kaito card. I do tho absolutely adore the rui and toya cards. But I'm probably going to drop a few ten pulls and continue saving for 2.5 anni. And whe 2.5 anni gacha drops I will be broke. Thanks for reading this jumble of thoughts

Yeah I might not mention it often, but you should focus on finding sets where you like all 3 cards first, since there is a big chance you don't get all 3 especially in limited gachas cases.

If you don't own these cards I suggest using cards with the highest "Event bonus" available
when you pick your team from the "Edit" tab you can choose to sort by "event bonus" when an event is running
Picking the characters with the highest amount of event bonus will give you the best team to earn a lot of rewards from the event!
i know people get mad at headcanons but for me personally i really like the transmasc nene head canon so having the short hair style would be really nice! (i also have the 88* outfit for nene for complete boyfication lol) (please no hate i understand if you disagree and am not saying nenes character in canon is supposed to be transmasc, its just a fun way to relate and explore the character)
I mean headcanons are all fair as long as you don't go harass people who don't agree with them or treat creators who go against them poorly! Fun to hear about your headcanon, hadn't thought of it that way personally :]

When you have FOUR Cool attribute LN cards, and they are all Saki and Shiho instead....(Two for each of them) Honami just doesn't want to come home ig....
The cards roaster this round is TERRIBLE for me in this mixed event...Ichika only has LIMITED BD and Fes card (Until April for 3 star, and July for for perma 4 stars), while 25 Len with a SINGLE Bug 4 star....Coupled with only TWO available 3 stars, NO Nene + Honami 4 stars for me and NO cool attribute Virtual singers (My Gallerian...) I have to settle with just a Marionette Kanade.....and my first Ichika 1 star😰😰😰
Fortunately, I WILL be pulling for this event (For All 3, but mainly Kanade) to get more diverse cards for this event. But I will not be tiering due to personal matters, good luck for pulling everyone!🥰🥰
EDIT: I would say neither this nor Never Give up cooking have the WORST card Roaster....that will goes to the Limited Virtual Singer event in the End of August. Funnily enough, I have 2 50% Four Star + 40% Card for the event..Meaning that HARSH event is somehow SIGNIFICANTLY better than this event...😅😅😅
Yeah the VS focused event is ABYSSMAL and Never give up cooking is close behind it.
Hope your pulls goes well! You don't need to pull to tier, better to pick up cards you love than just to "tier an event" longlasting joy trumps a title that you wont use haha
