- There’s no doubt the Jeep is one of the most popular vehicles out there to modify and customize. Wagoneers, CJs, YJs, TJs, and JKs are just a few of the popular models that everybody knows and loves to modify. But what if you buy a project with a specific plan in mind, only to find all is not what it seems? Do you sell it? Restore it? Modify it? Well, this time on GEARZ, Stacey answers those questions as he rolls in a rare 1967 Jeepster convertible and shows you how to successfully change the direction of a project when it throws you a major curveball. Follow along as Stacey strips down this Jeepster and goes Commando, then starts a level 1 restoration instead of the level 3 he had originally planned. After that, we take a minute to check out the Keep On Truckin’ event at this year’s Grand National Roadster Show. So many trucks, so little time!

Started watched Stacey David on Trucks! back in 2003. I absolutely credit him to my fascination with maintenance and restoration of cars and trucks. 21 years later and still get sucked into these episodes!
I remember watching this guy on Trucks on Spike tv for years. He's very inspiring.
Great! A 24 minute infomercial!
Good to see you still at it !!!!
Wow, the voice of reason. I found a 67 conv. and sold it to a restorer.
Wrong color on the ol' 225 odd-fire
Pretty jeep
Awesome this show is back thank god .
It never left! Glad you found us again though!
I miss both my 1980 Jeep CJ5 258 inline 6 and a 4 speed transmission. And my 1988 Chevy S-10 Pickup with 4.3L and 5 speed transmission. both were fun vehicles and I loved off roading in them! Am looking to get an S-10 Pickup for a project vehicle. I want to make it a Convertible California Lowrider with articulated full size bed.
Enjoyed!!!!! 👍👍
Now If It Comes out Ahhhh ! You're good to go 😂😂 That keep me Laughing for quite a while 😅😅
Awesome video.
Good Lord that is gourgous.
Cool little project
I like that you made the Jeepster enjoyable, they all have a story and sometimes the 500hp that you can put under the hood is not the right story. I love all of the chrome, paint, and interiors on a show cars, but when you get to having to put them on a trailer to go to the show you miss out on some of the fun of driving it. I have 71 F250 that I am trying to bring back and it will go to show, but it is being driven and hauls and will tow.
👍
Hi I love old trucks and cars I work in a auto salvage yard I have seen a lot old trucks and cars the yard had a 58 Apache truck I wish I could have restored it
Are there any plans to make an app version of the project book? Something that could downloaded to a desktop for editing/pics, etc?
I saw this episode and am happy to say I have a 1967 RS Camaro and a 1986 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton camper special. That came with the dual tanks and batteries, I purchased the truck straight off the lot. The truck is under full restoration and I would like to know is that a 4-inch lift and what size and make are the tires and rims. Also on a comical note, any way you can bring back the 16 1/2-inch rims and tires .
That lift appears to be a 6”-8” with 37” tires.
Could have cleaned up the top of the stud with a wire wheel, put down a washer, welded a 1/4"/5/16" nut, heated up the manifold let the heat suck wax down the threads and work it out slowly.
That’s my go to.
I intended for my 71 T'all to be a level 1. But when I found that no one makes brake drums, that all changed.
I have yet to see the final on the heavy metal project i wood Riley want to see it’s completed
Trucks are what you use to haul the trailer your nice custom car is sitting on, when you drive to the car show...
Stacey and Gene Simmons must have the same hair stylist ! :)
I have a 57 Chevy nine passenger wagon. Needs a gas tank. And they don’t make a replacement tank for a nine passenger wagon. Any suggestions?
If there aren't large holes in it, you could try one of the tank coating products. We featured one last season. Check it out at the 9:08 mark of this video: czcams.com/video/98zMIMs7Yqo/video.html
@@OfficialStaceyDavid thank you for your help. That’s the way I’m going to fix mine
10:10 What was the parts # for the ARP studs and bolts kit?
Can't remember the number off the top of my head, but it would be one of their Buick V6 kits.
That glass filter will cause engine fires. Don't ever use screw together filters.
brass sintered bronze filter gas line filters ftw
When you coming back to Indiana for a car show? I’ll loan you my 71 Nova

We need NEW EPISODES. WHERE'S THE FINISH OF HEAVY METAL. The camaro Finished just to name ! Few
New episodes are airing now. Those two projects are coming back next season.
Is there new episodes or something?
Yep. This one came out last month. All new episodes are uploaded to my channel the week after they premiere on TV.
it's best to drill it out and use key inserts the helicoils are junk.
It’s too nice to cut up
This dude has been trying to sell me shit I can’t afford for like 30 years.
Awesome video, awesome perm lol
Wife's wig.
Just watched big Kenny's show at your place..I've never seen big Kenny go see a custom build and not take it on the street? loved the m36 loved the cougar..but are they not done right and run like crap or what man? just saying..
That hair, man I don’t think that hair has moved in decades.
5 minutes of Jeep. 20 minutes of advertising.
5 minutes of working, 20 minutes of ads
Not wanting to insult anyone, I watched this guy for years but why is the camera no getting close to him any more????? He did close ups on many shows.
Because he is old as f and he no longer has the young man's face as he once did in the later 80s and early 99s... PLUS his hair has gotten old and dried out, silvered, and grey, yet he keeps on coloring and hair spraying the snot out of it..
Cut it up and make a hot rod
Does this guy wear a wig much?
I keep waiting for it to slip …
why drive a truck?
I now remember why I stopped watching your videos. 40% advertisement, 30% of other stuff and maybe 30% of what video is supposed to be about. I liked your TV show, but not your CZcams videos. Sorry.
I've watched Stacey for like 20 years. Maybe it's just me, but does he really actually DO anything anymore? Seems like he just narrates now... 🤷♂
Same here, since his days on Trucks. I seen him do all of his projects like Crazy Horse, and Copperhead.

Mine is outside of Copperhead, Sgt Rock is the Cougar.
Me and my best friend are about to start on our 69 Jeepster Commando Truck. May need to ask for your guidance from time to time
Find a better time slot on Motortrend hate having to wait until the next week to watch shows Please finish a project
Couldn't you just set your cable box to record new episodes
Nope
And who ask you.

@@glenfdoss You did, when you made the stupid statement of rearranging an entire channels lineup to suit just you, when you have LOADS of ways of working around it these days.
I believe in keeping vehicles original, slamming trucks on the ground isn't practical and doesn't make sense the way roads are. If you want a low rider, buy a sports car, don't ruin a truck
I agree to an extent, the best part of vehicles is personalizing them and making them yours to a lot of folks.
Clearly you have never had a lowered truck
