    Sweet potato gives the firmness instead of flour.

    Hello my Friend!! I am so impressed with your abilities and talent in the kitchen, I will be making these the Bajan way in the fall or as you might say Autumn but I will be making your fried bakes very soon my friend; you taught me a lot there. I just subscribed to you and hopefully we can support each other and maybe do a collab together some time. I think you should try to get the name of what your making in the heading because you really cannot tell unless you actually go into the video; I think you are selling yourself short there; just my opinion and I hope you do not think that I am rude, just constructive criticism. I hope to hear back from you soon. Lovely Channel by the way.

    • @HerculesTV
      @HerculesTV  Před 4 lety +1

      It would depend on the recipe but give mine a try and let me know how it goes

    Why flour? I don't use flour in conkies and I have never seen my grandmothers nor mother use it.

    • @HerculesTV
      @HerculesTV  Před 3 lety

      It Is optional and it is adds to the texture of it

  • @girlsinabdool7804

    Do you put baking powder in conkies

    • @HerculesTV
      @HerculesTV  Před 4 lety

      Not necessarily but if you are using a recipe which includes flour. You can because it can help to add an airy texture to it

    • @bonitaweekes4366
      @bonitaweekes4366 Před 4 lety

      Definitely no.

    Hi why do you add flour

    • @HerculesTV
      @HerculesTV  Před 3 lety +1

      I add it for texture

    • @bonitaweekes4366
      @bonitaweekes4366 Před 3 lety

      Texture is fine without flour, its not cake. I see people adding milk, don't understand why.

    • @HerculesTV
      @HerculesTV  Před 3 lety +1

      The texture is fine for YOU... and the amount of flour added would not make it a cake... and the best part of cooking is trying new things so dont knock it until you try it
