Agreed. I prefer ARRMA simply because I like the way their vehicles look and how the internals look more. Purely preference. Also, I tend to stay ARRMA just because I already have the right chargers, batteries/connectors and spare parts are interchangeable.

I'm glad arrmas putting out these new cars. They aren't perfect, but they're really trying to improve what they have and create some good stuff. I don't think it's going to be an xmaxx killer, but definitely a competitor. I can't really complain though, more options in the "5th scale" category for us.

This is my favorite R/C car. I got an xmaxx recently, and I still like the outcast 8s better. The way it looks, the sound, and the handling is great! Very well engineered R/C
11:05 I've done that with an 8S pack and could've cried, I've got a video up on how to fix the balance lead if you need it. Good solid review, and nice to see the chassis not bending
That Outcast looks to be pretty good all in all. I really don't get the whole Traxxas vs Arrma thing. Just go with what you like, I don't think you'll lose either way. I have several Traxxas and the one Arrma, I'm happy with both.

You need to keep the ic5 connectors and get some smart batteries for that. You are getting rid of all the smart features by cutting off those connectors.

Thanks for the vid Kev!! It seems the 8S OutKast doesnât have the ability for stunts and thrills like the 6S. It appears to be just to dang heavy! I have a Traxxas E-Revo 2.0 and just ordered the Armma Kraton EXB. My next one is the XMAXX baby!! Still waiting on the Arama as they keep pushing the date back!!!

Your one of the reasons why I got back into the hobby. Also just put a castle creations sidewinder 3 brushless motor and esc in my traxxas slash 2wd ran 3 cell and it needs a sock full of change to keep the front down.

I have the Xmaxx, Kraton 8s and the Outcast 8s. The Outcast is probably my best choice. It's an absolute beast. I don't jump it as high as some people but I bash it HARD over dirt, sand, rocks, mudd, grass, water and I haven't had to do a thing to it (other than the standard cleanings/lubrications) and the truck has had zero issues and not a single part has broken. Today I was at a wet, muddy, rocky construction site and it just chewed it up. Really impressed with Arma and how durable their products are.

I finally bought an X Max and I broke the rear C hub 30 minutes after owning it. Yesterday I broke the front lower arm at the pin where connects to the frame. What lower arms do you suggest for the X-Maxx?
