Kev, a standard electricians socket screw is M3.5 and they're available upto 100mm in length. Unscrew one out of a socket or light switch and see if the thread is the same as you need
What an Epic build Kev 😱!!!! Loved the bench clips too. That hit in the grass was a bit rough 🙀🤣. My front RPM broke the second time out, but it was really my bad landing on a huge pipe from height. 34/34 gearing should work about perfect with the 800kv 👌. Just need another limitless spool gear for the spur, or you could fit 39/39. You're gonna love the M2C 7mm shock kit Brother. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Yup I did almost all those M2C upgrades on my Outcast 8s too, except for the steering stuff. I also added front and rear K8S EXB links and rear K8S shocks all around. It's a freaking BEAST now. I also replaced the diff cases in the front and rear diffs with aluminum Arrma ones. The plastic diff cases split apart.
@@aidenmaves5537 Aluminum is necessary in some key components like the diff cases and hinge pin retainers. It's just too much for the composite plastic to hold up to the torque on the diffs and the weight of the 30lbs trucks on those hinge pins. Plastics do work well on stuff like the control arms and shock towers though 👍
That was a cool parts upgrade. The 3.5mm bolt are the same as your electrical sockets around the house. So you can get double length plate screw from any decent electrical shop. Fun vid👍🏻
Yeah Kev try 34/39 or even 34/34 1:1 gearing, I run 34/39 with the same electrics Beefcaked out and it's good. Gives you more torque to correct with all that weight. Horrible landing mate exploded them Stock arms 😔😂😂 Let us know how them RPM ones do... Unfortunately no droop setting on them arms so guess "Pick your Poison" Then you will need either the EXB shocks off a breaker site or I would get the M2C ones about to come out. I just got a set to test 7mm, hardened, and 7075 ends💪.... Dudes are still killing the EXB ones... So that's what I suggest. I should have a video out soon on them. Shame all you have to do $$ to these 8s Rigs but once there right they are beastly. Side note, them HUGE batteries just asking for more weight Dammage. I personally don't go over about 6700mah in my big rigs especially off there M2Cified 💪 Bash on brother.... Great vid mate
Kevin, besides the car, I have learned something from you. I was just wondering How you use that drill on those screws without locking then so tight due to the power of the drill. thanks I like your video's
Freddy music at 2:42 lol. love the vid kevin its not easy to take apart and put those cars together the speed and accuracy you do it. Id love to know as much about rc cars as you.
Hey Kev, little Tip from a 1/8th scale buggy racer. We put a lot holes in the back of the spoiler. With that done the car is much better to control in the air. The chances to crash by a bad landing is much lower now. (Sorry for my bad English; greetings from Germany :) )
You get it to belch heaping amounts of smoke, and I'll send you as many American Flag stickers as it can hold! Love your stuff dude, keep up the good work
The chassis didn't look that bent to me🤔. It's amazing how you could easily get fitting upgrade parts for this model🤔. I thought you had to use modeling adhesive with the screws also, for better construction🤔. I usually lubricate any moving parts with CRC and top grade machine oil. This also allows for smoother performance, increased speed and handling, gear performance, and less friction and overheating potential. I'm not experienced with pulling things to pieces and assembling, building from scratch though🥴. I have a lazy streak, thats hard to conquer😖. I just like things to happen quickly, with little fuss. But I admire your skill and ability here. I don't think its necessary for rc vehicles to go so fast though🤔. Around 60klm is plenty I think, just to enjoy racing them. When they go too fast, I don't see the point, when they just shoot off into the distance🥴. It's all relative really. Eg. Going faster, accidents are just as fatal with an upgrade, as it is having an accident without the upgrade. What we have to remember is, that the original manufactured model, is specifically designed to be adequate for the max speed it does🤔
kev's craziness is concerning yet entertaining. Glad he actually works on and upgrades his rc's. Even fabricates things to make it work. Thats how you rc!
Be good if Kev did a "how to make your own 7075 bash bar" vid. You can buy sheet 7075 ali, drill, saw, clamp etc. all in for less than an M2C chassis AND learn some metalworking skills in the process!
Omg that thing is built to beat that kids height record. 100mph easy with that set up. Looks so good with the polished aluminum. Tim the tool man Taylor would be grunting.
Does conservation of angular momentum apply when rotating the wheels say, in the opposite direction the car is tilting while mid air? If so is that what is allowing for what looks to be small amounts of in flight angular adjustment to the vehicles tilt?
exactly what I was thinking, very noticeable in some of the jumps. I know air braking is a thing in Trackmania.. Didnt know it was a thing in real life tho :o
oh my gosh, what a nightmare having to screw with that chassis for those that just wanna bash and drive around when they have so very little free time after work and family obligations. I cant imagine having to replace all that after such a short period of time. Not to mention having to spend even more money.
After Kev does all the hop ups to the EXB series from Arrma. What is still left stock and would it be cheaper to start from scratch with upgrade parts and build your own. I want a Kraton but wonder if I should build one from upgrade parts?
You need a 39/39 gearing and the frond and rear diff 500.000 oil and the middle silicone earplugs. It's a perfect combo with this motor and ESC (i have exactly the same setup and it's a BEAST!)
you should really hae a tap and die set, much better than just drilling those holes, or if you are cheap have a long screw of that pitch and cut a couple of channels down the thread, the channels will alow some material to escape. you could also make any screw you need of any thread pitch so you wouldnt have issues like with not finding a long enough screw
Hey guy! Am new to your channel. As a child I was fascinated by small remote controlled toys and at a point I even built one or two myself to play with. But watching your channel now brings back long recessed memories of my childhood! Thank you for that! So, I have an idea for you! Since it's normal for you to launch you rc's into the sky! You can morph a small quadcopter to the sides so whenever you launch you will have a control descent! What do you think?
epic! Can't wait to see how it performs with that servo and some better arms/shocks. arrma can not make 8s arms lol... you'd think they would start copying rpm by now haha
How did you get the dumborc to work also I have basically a d99 rc I'm putting said receiver in I have a working Winch I have added but in order to do it I need to put a separate esc in
That thing's like an abused puppy. You kick it around the garden, send it halfway to orbit and it still comes running back to daddy even though you're trying to kill it! And then you break its leg. Poor sod.😂😂

Why is u on here. Edit: thanks for the like it’s my first
Wait verbalase!?!
You should put “It’s Christmas Every Day” on a t-shirt

That would be really cool with the xmax or the raminator in the background

that is a good idea i will buy it if it is available
I know carnt stop saying it to my mate when my spares arrive 😁
I think you can now say that kev is basically a pro at working on rc cars he could own a whole hobby shop
Nah
I think Kev should make a new video series of opening posts cause its so satisfying.
That may spoil future vids though
True but package opening is satisfying to

All I could hear was the f1 podium celebration haha😂
