I’d say their strategic leadership was certainly lacking, operationally too. Tactically theres some famous KuK units that performed decently well all things considered. So he decided to help the Austrians, and it was a very wise move since the Italians were really about to take Trieste, the Austrians by that point were almost completely depleted of every kind of resources and couldn't defend against another offensive Edit; holy f*ck, SO many people butthurting about the fact that Italy wasn't the joke their lazy memes taught them 😂
Dont forget thst front was mainly defended by croatians, with the croatian general earning the title (the finest defensive general of ww1). Also being put manned and out gunned almost every time so yeah, we croatians flex upon the italians

one small correction: make the WW1 cigarettes all white. Cigarettes were hand rolled by the soldier with army issued paper and tobacco and did not have the brown filters in them

The Austro-Hungarian Empire’s National Anthem was “Das Deutsche Liede” but with different lyrics than the version we all know today. In 1919 the Austrian Republic changed the National Anthem and so did Germany, who started to use the first stanza of a new version of “Das Deutsche Liede”. The stanza that started with “Deutschland Uber Alles”. The German Anthem remain the German Anthem during the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich. After 1945 the West Germany went on use the same Anthem but the started to sing the third stanza. After the reunion in 1990 the National Anthem is the same, the third stanza of “Das Deutsche Liede”.

It's because of the elevation your ears tend to pop when your very high up but it's not like your eardrums busting whenever you sallow you would hear a slight pop
