  • This is my review for the Flextail Zero Pump. This is an air pump for sleeping pads. I put it to the test with all my pads. I go into detail about the Zero Pump's performance and what it will do and what it won't. I also cover the valves attachments it comes with, as well as its rechargeable RC123A battery included. If you are looking for new lightweight tech to add to your backpacking set up you gotta check this thing out! I hope this covers what you would need to know about the Zero Pump and feel free to leave a comment if there is something I did not cover in this video.

I'd consider something like this a must have. Luckily, I have a pump sack which makes inflation mostly effortless, but inflating pads is step in the backpacking process I've came to despise after using lung power way too many times.

I too after a long day on trail hate blowing up a pad so this will be a game changer on this summer’s adventures! It looked like neat tech so I thought I’d give it a try. We’ll see how it holds up! 🤞 Hope you are well my friend and thanks for watching!

I have asthma and it bothers me a whole lot more than climbing at 13,000. I have the pump sack and it takes too much time. I plan to get one of these gadgets even without any reviews for a try

@@CDAFishboy this would be a great option for someone who has asthma or any other respiratory conditions! My review is to just show an overview of what's in the box, how did it perform, and what I thought about this overall. I think after the big mileage days I'll have this year it's gonna be pretty nice to have. Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend!

This thing is a game changer with one big flaw… the battery will not last long if exposed to cold weather for extended periods of time. I have a few devices which use rechargeable 123CR batteries and the battery for this device is not that good.

Thanks for the input. I use 18650’s and 20700’s on trail for power with my Nitecore F1. I just put them in my sleeping bag overnight and they seem to stay charged. That was the plan with the RCR123A the included with my pump. We’ll see how it fairs this year on trail. I’m actually looking at getting a high drain version which may last longer in the cold. Thanks for the heads up on the temperature issues you’ve had. I generally will use this 3 season so I’m hoping temps aren’t too much of an issue. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@ChristianPaulPhotography good review; love the pump! I find it takes about the same time as you observed for your big Agnes pad for my S2S etherlight XT.
