My sons autistic very significantly ,my mum sent me this song ❤,I hope folk realise autism is not always a gift my son will never be independent he's 10 and can't write ,can never be alone needs toilet help has no clue ,they are not all geniuses
As a parent of a disabled daughter I always worry about the level of acceptance my daughter will encounter. It's not always easy for sure, but although autism may not be a gift, but your son always will be. ❤
I agree it is a terrible condition. The song was written for Luke to sing by Phil, who lost his son as I seem to recall. Forgive me if I'm wrong. Keep strong.
@@mikeyates7931 anytime,I feel like my generation doesn’t seem to accept and appreciate “older” cultural music which I think is really sad, as I genuinely enjoy listening to these songs
Saw the McPeakes at a concert in Scunthorpe around 1965, in a concert with Ian Campbell and an up and coming group of youngsters from nearby Hull - The Watersons. What a line-up!
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but this harbours back to a time when people had empathy, we didn't need to be told that we had to obey laws on equality, we just accepted people for who/what they were, and treated them accordingly. Beautiful song
this song doesn't get the recognition it deserves... Luke Kelly is amazing for this tune .. just a beautiful and pure tune
One of the most beautiful, touching and poignant songs I’ve ever heard.
