- One of the sweetest bikes to land in New Zealand in late 2023/Early 2024.
There's no debate, this thing looks mean, and it rides like it to.
Of all the demo bikes I've had the pleasure of testing this last year, this takes the cake for being one of the plushest. Very confidence inspiring in almost every scenario.
The bike makes good use of a mixed wheel size. The slack 29" front wheel tracks really well and keeps stable on the steep, and the 27" wheel out back keeps the back end short and lively - brilliant for taking corners at speed or repositioning quickly.
So, the KTM's great, so what's the Con? a Notably tall front stack/front end makes the front wheel wander while climbing steep pitches (if you don't throw your weight forward..)
Is it a problem for a bike designed to go down? Not really, but its worth noting if you plan on shuttling up a steep trail.
Its hard to not mention - the spec on this thing is nuts.
And by nuts I mean well thought out and very modern. The new wireless GX SRAM transmission works wonders, Shimano SAINT brakes are absolutely mind blowing, a wide rim DT SWISS wheel set makes it virtually bomb proof, and an appropriate long travel FOX build kit rounds off the package nicely.
Even at the KTM Prestige's high price point the bike is hard to fault.

Not to mention a very exciting NEW bike roster upcoming this year.

Hi there can you tell me what the name and make of the water bottle and cage you're using?
I have the same bike and my bottle keeps scraping against the Piggyback
@@Cpt_McPopeye I ended up removing that cage as I had the same issue and opted for a smaller Fidlock bottle and mount + a hip pack reservoir 😁
@@Oliver-EBPlus got any problems with the Fidlock bottle so far? what size are you using?
@@Cpt_McPopeye It’s worked great and is super solid on the bike. I can’t recall off the top of my head but it was one of the smaller size one to allow for clearance of course
@@Oliver-EBPlus yeah i think i'll go the same way. Kinda underestimated the space in the Frame to fit a bottle. Thanks for the reply
