The Yard is a show hosted by Ludwig, Nick, Slime, and Aiden.

I like how this is basically a regular podcast but Asa Butterfield is listening in horror
It's great.
He hasn't aged since Hugo
...@@frimbolive2092 ...mentally or physically ??
Asa Butterfield is one of the last people I would expect to see on The Yard, this is so weird but cool.
After seeing his Twitter, it was one of those things where I saw him in the thumbnail and thought: “oh shit this makes sense.”
@@xtera5718 exactly! Can’t remember when or why I went down that rabbit hole a while back… Reddit post maybe..? But yeah man’s is a whole ass gamer.

The way Asa immediately gaslit Aimen tells me this is going to be a great episode
@today was a good day no
Great pfp dude. I love Vince Staples as well

nice pfp brotha
Ludwig showing a professional British actor cornbase is so funny
No reply?
yeah that was great, you could tell how much he was anticipating that response to it haha
Omg... it was so corny... 🤣
um really ludwig how could you expose our underground poker youtuber cabal
Bro how is this comment just buried in here

THE TierZoo watches the Yard confirmed.
Do you wanna be a guest on the podcast, I think that would be pretty cool
Slime when Nick talks over him: JUST LET ME BE ME
Slime when their famous podcast guest talks about his personal experiences: No that's not true you're fucking lying and here's why, I-
He is gonna be so mad about this comment
Rich people don’t deserve rights (jokingly)

Literally started the best way possible “Do you think he’s going bald” points at aimen gamin
yes i have also watched the first 10 seconds of the podcast you dont need to repeat it
i hope this is a tradition they keep with every guest
I really wonder how many hardcore fans of Asa will somehow find this video and discover a whole new side of him as an actual person - that would be so funny.
1:25:10 without context 😂
yeah thats me
@@dogoluvsu7200 would you listen to other episodes of the yard
@@iiilliillliilllll2974 probably, they are really funny
I'm a big fan and have been for years and any hardcore fan would've seen his Twitter where it's obvious he's a gamer. I also watch Ludwig. So this surprised me at first, but after a sec it made total sense. No actor is actually the persona they put on for the cameras.
nick is so effortlessly suave and cool

When Ludwig realise that Honey badger is an actual animal and not just a term for putting honey on a badger in SAP lmao

I cried laughing at that pocket fish story haha. Jesus Christ. The opening just... "I got grounded for putting salmon in my pocket". Like wtf who else but Slime haha
Nick's version of the story is oddly more believable. 🤣
@@VixeyTeh haha perhaps so. Slime's take is embellished with rage
such a good ep, everyone was so funny and really meshed well with Asa, as least from a viewing perspective. keep it up lads
What a great episode, there was an insane chemistry between asa and the boys. I can see this podcast going places for sure
Once a smasher, always a smasher. Even if you become a famous actor or the president.

i love the grip asa employs on the mic, just straight away hip hop pose and chill.
Oddly specific......but hey
“Is your mother lovely?” had me rolling, and the best part is I know Slime is just out here asking genuine questions and trying to connect, he’s not being a jackass but it takes people aback and it’s so goddamn funny. (Note: for all I know Slime is actually a serial killer off camera, it just seems like he’s just out here being human-to-human with people and it takes them by surprise lol)
Also Slime... ***finds a hammer, walks into Aimen's room, smashes a hole in the wall, and says "no one will every believe you." ... and walks out... for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON.***
I think the main problem with the yard having guests is that the core group has so much natural chemistry between them that the guest sometimes feels alienated or something more of a listener than a guest on the pod. The fact that makes this podcast one of the best out there is also what makes is somewhat weird when they host guests, in my opinion.
I was quite skeptical of this episode because I see it as the same way as you. But I thunk Asa did a really good job and kinda fit in even though he didn't talk as much as in like a interview. I was down with almost everything. I'm surprised how well it went.
@@jar594 yeah true, i also think he was a great guest cause even though he didn't talk much I thoroughly enjoyed that he was a part of the episode
Based
I'm sure that the guest, in that case a well known actor, loves the idea to be in a conversation where he is not always the center of attention. And yes at first you need to feel the group, but here Asa got it quickly and from what I watched, I'm sure he liked it.
Having chemistry doesn't necessarily mean you will alienate your guest. Literally the first thing Lud asks is "do you think he is going bald?". Of course it's fucking uncomfortable. Just comfort your guest better, hosts.
i love this. you always see actors in these late night shows and talk shows and its always the same generic questions. but this was such a down to earth chat and not so much an interview. it was great.
this was a great episode and asa is just such a genuine and nice guy.
Asa is one of my favorite actors and this is a crazy thing to come across. Never would've expected him to meet the boys :0
Great episode man, I feel like I must rewatch it to absorb the awesomeness of this collab. Gotta become a Patreon now for those juicy BTS vids.

My mans thats really sad to hear
Watching this feels like a fever dream
i could not believe the thumbnail of this podcast - so i skipped to the middle and.. wow he meshed in so well what the fuck.
Im from the uk and watching brits and americans separately the accent is fine but together they normally clash, but this worked, so well.
Going from seeing him in shows and movies when I was a kid to now seeing him here on the yard randomly is so strange but really cool
“3 points for gryffindor” was so unexpectedly hilarious 💀💀
I love asa OHMYGOD MY FAVORITE COLLAB SO EXCITED TO WATCH
Love him in the movies, he's so chill! This was great to watch!
18:46 My dad is from the US and we moved to England when he was 31. We've lived here for almost 22 years now and he hasn't picked up the accent so yeah that can be the case (my mum is already English so ofc nothing changed for her). He still has an American accent but just not quite as strong, like it sounds very American to everyone here in England but when we visit his family back in the US, it sounds more watered down compared to theirs and the other citizens'.
Aiden’s question @34:30 is actually an extremely good question to ask.
Loved the episode. Nice job guys
asa being a smasher has got to be the greatest thing of all time
Ludwig looks like an extra from the movie "grease"
Started with comedy podcasts then found y’all and binged every episode in two days😭😂 can’t wait till next weeks episode and next payday so I can binge another 33 episodes 😩#werethesame #effortlesslycool #soaking
I like listening to you all because of the honest time of moment , no language censure , all types of subjects, just buddies having fun about what comes to mind. Dont ever change I love you all for it
The idea in the end is just the entire premise of Podcast But Outside, another great podcast

Asa seems very chill I like this guy
Hearing my one of my favorite actors from my childhood say he has the same favorite anime as me is truly heartwarming.
I literally discovered Asa this week from then came you so it's wild now this pod comes out
An unexpected collab but a welcome one!!
How have i never seen this episode before. I just finished the 4th season and out of no where this episode comes on my home page. Like a episode i never knew i needed.
This is probably silly, but my whole takeaway from this is that I hope Asa actually watches Ludwig's acting reel, because I've said it multiple times, I think he's actually really great at it, and has excellent timing with his delivery
Lol it’s so weird to see these two worlds collide. Love Asa!!!!
no way they pulled out my all time favourite actor for this podcast 😩
Per Nicks question at 18:40, I've heard that it's usually around 12 years old. Obviously it differs person to person but that's usually around the age where people start to develop their own accent.
now this is something i did not expect but am more than glad to have
This is literally the only other time in my ENTIRE life I have ever heard someone else mention drop bears outside of the aussies that first told me about them all those years ago😆
I turn this on when I clean my room and it reminds me so much of being a kid and my teenage boy cousins babysitting me and hanging out
Not a collab I expected but glad it happened. Didn’t know Asa had ties to the smash scene.
This was so chill! It was just butter smooth
Hugo is one of my favorite movies, just now learning he was Hugo. Crazy!
being a fan of asa butterfield and a fan of the yard, i didn't know it was ever gonna overlap
Slime hit Ludwig with the "is that what I sound like when I'm just guessing? I shouldn't do that anymore!" lmfao
I've only seem one episode of SE, but I love Asa in everything else he's done...iunno
It’s always sunny and the earlier season of trailer park boys are some of my favorite comedy shows ever, so happy nick mentioned them.
Idk if anyone has ever said it, Slime is the Negative Aiden. They both reply to random people but with different responses. Someone could say "Have a good day." Aiden would say "thank you, wanna hang out?" Slime would say "fuck you"

just a tip for filming indoors in EU. their electricity runs at 60 Hz as opposed to the USA's 50 Hz... So change the frame rate on your camera to not match the frequency of electricity so that lights don't look like they're flickering all the time :)
the uk has its own powergrid removed from the EU so ours is 50Hz as well
You got it backwards. Europe uses 50 Hz, which is why their TV is 25 fps. It’s North America that uses 60 Hz.
Frame rate is not the issue, it's a function of mostly shutter speed. Sometimes your shutter speed and the frequency of some lights electrical supply can line up in a way to flicker, but it's not common and won't always happen even on the same shutter speed.
43:00 as a producer, it's the same thing for me with music. I'll hear a song, be like "THAT'S SICK I WANNA DO THAT!", open up ableton, and rage quit 10 mins later cause I can't do it. It's a toxic work flow but it's a super hard one to get out of.
Bro the fact they got Asa on is amazing
comparing the yard jingle to its always sunny jingles makes so much sense. i always felt the yard intro was too happy but now i see what they mean lol
Asa literally has a voice like butter
Like a field if butter..a Butterfield, some would say..
I used to make fun of Ludwig's french accent but the fact he played Dofus makes him a true french
i like how involved they all were like half way through
Omg wait I love asa so much I would have never believed this crossover would happen!
I love that Slime needed to clarify that he wasn't not watching his work in protest.
This is such a cool setting for the pod :D
nothing could have prepared me for this mash up of people
Saw this on Spotify but this is a banger episode
This has been one of my favorite episodes.
I love that they start each guest episode with asking the guest if aimen is going bald
Checked the chapters and saw 8 minutes on beans on toast. That seems about right for a podcast in Britain.
Sex education is one of my favorite shows all time. Cool to see Asa on here
Literally thought it was just a thumbnail of Asa and my jaw is on the floor the second I saw him in the video.
laughed so much, new favorite podcast ep XD
Been loving the pod on Spotify, wanted to comment for the algorithm
I laughed the hardest at "Dark Souls 1 is the wire of videogames." Slime's alright. These guys are funny stuff.
You guys killed it with your jokes this episode great stuff 👍LOL
great ep!
now this is a video I didn’t expect to see in my recommendations
OMG Finally we've heard the recipe of beans on toast Asa talking in every interview possible))
"What's the hardest you've ever cried?
Aaaaahhhhh just kidding
But like what sucks about your life?"
When nick said that I laughed so fuckin hard
When ludwig says the analog for youtubers getting fit is boxing, I can't help but think he heard what wubby said about fighting idubz
I’d love to see Asa at a smash event as a special commentator
Lived in England in the ages of 5-6 and I got an accent I couldn't shake for a couple years after we returned to the US.
Fun fact; Walmart does own shops in the UK. They're just called Asda.
Or, they did til recently.
Whoa didn't know he was the guy from Ender's Game, he's gained my respect now
I actually thought this had to be clickbait. I enjoyed sex education too, but I wouldn't expect any of the yard to have even heard of it. Not sure it's aimed at adult men, but then again that's me and I watched it so who knows. I am at least British so I got that part down.
Edit: damn dude I had no idea it was him in Ender's game. That was my favourite movie for years, or at least what I labelled as my favourite movie because I don't watch all that many movies. I just looked him up again and he was in the nanny mcphee sequel, Hugo, and the boy in the striped pyjamas. Asa is way bigger than I even thought, and I've even watched a bunch of his movies but still just never put them all together as the same guy.
Lol. The shock. Same thing happened with me.
My favorite episode so far
Aimen had seriously good questions. Cheers lads, great pod
him playing dota2 is one of the most surprising thing ive seen
the giggling is amazing.
