Hey, so in this video you said that you cannot pick up a teammates dogtags.. if an enemy player picks it up you can then kill that player, and get the dogtag back. Also, I'm not sure if it's a glitch.. but, final exfil appears to complete wipe you if you exfil using it.
Nice overview, solid update other than the AI tuning. Hopefully they fix that soon. The big thing was less instances of crashing or getting kicked for my squad and I. The improved dog tag system is to reward PVP and add more incentive for your remaining squadmates to hunt down the squad that killed you and recover your tags, denying them upwards of $50K. I like your idea of exclusive spaces based on dog tag quality/exfil streak, but the most interesting update to me is the AI Factions now fighting each other at Sattiq Caves and missions to complete across maps. They're doing a solid job with world building in DMZ, which raises the possibility of more story driven in-game events.
I love how the ENTIRE community has been begging for bots to do less damage/accuracy for months and they don't listen to anything đ

Awesome vid! Very informative. The one thing I say a big NO to though is when you said, "...getting at least reverted back to how it was prior..." No no no NO. The AI were overtuned before, and now they're just CRACKED. I'm totally fine with the AI posing a threat, but they need to be scaled down to a level less than the end of Season 1. As a solo player, I basically can't do anything now, and the DMZ is my favorite mode.
Conspiracy theory, I know, but it makes me wonder if the devs jacked the AI up, just so they can revert them back to the previous difficulty so we'll think it's easier by comparison, and we'll all be grateful. There is NO WAY the devs didn't know about the insane DMZ AI before releasing the update.
Im so pissed about the A.I getting buffed. Especially when they said they were going to tune them.

I mean, if you come across a friendly team of 3, you guys can trade dog tags (killing eachother, grabbing the dog tags, and letting their teamate revive them) but theres a very small chance that an enemy squad would be willing to do that with you unless its friends that you got in a game with.
I thought when you take someone's dog tags they can't be revived? So this would not be possible

@@KronicDaydreamZ Bad info from a different youtube content creator apparently lol. I watched a video couple weeks ago and someone said to steal dog tags and just drop them if you are fighting a squad and they can't be revived.
Doing a raid weapons is almost impossible as a solo. After the safe opens they keep dropping waves of tier 3 bots. I had 51 bot kills, and used 3 revives to get out.
they buffed them more than before. Activision are liars. also, it's not only raid contracts but also other places are impossible even with 3 players
It's because you're not that good. You can throw 1 thermite and take the whole helicopter out if you throw it where they land.

I have the opposite problem. Iâve exfiled twice with insured gun and full kit and when I get back to menu I have nothing. Both were on final exfil I dunno

@@kevmofultry changing your insured weapon to a different gunsmith preset- that was happening to me yesterday and swapping presets fixed it.
I think dog tag clearance doors would actually be a decent idea if they only did 1 locked location per tag rank. This way it's not just a gimme for the player who is already benefitting from the exfil perks and they run a serious risk of the site being camped and a hunting ground for people trying to get the quick money from the tags

The use for the dog tag change is that it adds an incentive to not perma kill other opperaters in the game.
So if you kill someone, take their tags but then let them join your squad they keep their kill streak and the next time you kill them you get the same or bigger reward.
It's very unlikely that the same players keep seeing each other of different games, but as a community it means that theres a general incentive not to perma kill players. If nothing else it makes things interesting.
No one does this, ever.
I agree that the dog tags should be part of your identity and should unlock special things for you based on what element your dog tag is made from.

Before season 2 the threats on the map were players.
Now with season 2 the threat is bots, players are easy compaired to unlimited waves of bots that rush you with smokes
I keep saying I honestly think it's a learning AI for the bots. They keep getting harder and harder and doing new things. This is the 3rd time they've been marked specifically as getting harder, and they keeps making some new excuse every time. So it's either them purposely turning them up, or it's machine learning. (Not like skynet.)
It is indeed machine learning. That would not be the problem for me, they only would behave more realistic. What makes it unplayeble is the fact that they spawn endlessly, they glitch through walls and locked doors, shoot you through multiple walls, they see you through any form of cover and you can't sneak around them behind them. Even if they look in the opposite direction of you the turn instantly 180 degree and start ripping you apart

Like a hive mind that recognizes normal level of his pawns are not able to beat real players, so to fulfil his programmed mission, it cheats.
Like back in the days of early RTS Games. In Command and Conquer the "AI enemy" used basically cheats to get endless building resources as soon as all the resources on the map were harvested

for the new underground Al Maz stronghold, pop a flash into the hole inside the building and dive in behind it; it's insanely easy.
Imagine if DMZ had like adaptive AI like in metal gear solid 5, I feel then that game mode would be so much better

If you get on a 6 man currently the bots go alpha chad. All blue armored boys that take an entire 30 round mag to down.
When DMZ first dropped the bots were way too easy. I didnât mind them about 3/4 of the way through season 1 but at least in my experience season 2 is a bit much. Iâm not a great player but Iâm struggling as a solo now. The island is way too much with the reinforcements. In certain locations we can plow through 60-80 bots in one small area.
In season 1 it was a bit fine but after reloaded is when i started having problems
As far as I played, Ashika island is not as bad as Al Mazrah when it comes to AI reinforcement. But the weapon case of this map is pretty challenging since it's not straight up "beat the h out of the boss" kind of thing and you can pretty get third party easily since the map is so small that you can almost sweep your UAV through the whole map if you are in the center of the map and anyone that use their UAV most likely detect you if you are going in the castle.
I don't get why they've reset our progress and deleted our contraband but still left it as a beta. The chopper blade patch is good though. That was stupid before. Also encouraged by less time to get a second insured slot. Their excuse for overpowered bots being a bug... I call bs.

Dog tags benefit the enemy with money. If itâs based on exfil streak than thatâs the players benefit (all the perks)

I've run into several enemy teams who I made deals with wear for basically the whole match we didn't combined into a six-man and completed missions and stuff that required either killing people from another team marking other team and other things like that. The Damascus dogtags could be done in just the same way. . . If you needed a money mission, you could meet up with a team that also has that same mission and has Damascus dog tags y'all could agree to take each other's tags then head to a buy station and sell the dog tags then combine the team and exfill and complete the mission for everyone
Cool content dude, keep up the good work! The benefit of having a Damascus dog tag is the fact that you have all 10 perks, seems to me. I know that was always the case, I guess the devs just thought that'd be enough.

@@xUser1987x Not all the perks even work as it said. It's a good idea to base of your "headhunt price" as my friend called it based on your exfil streak as trade off from your perk benefit but why won't they just fix the exfil perk to work correctly first? xD
I think the dog tags are more a reward for the enemy team. They didn't hold much value before, but now if you take out someone on a 6+ exfil streak, you should be rewarded imo.
I think the dog tags are valued based on how hard it would be to eliminate the player. Players who have 10 exfils will have full loadouts, all the perks, and likely with a competent team to help them survive. I wish that taking dog tags prevented players from reviving them until the dog tag is sold or the tag is recovered by the friendly team.

Need 2 cameras, 1 for each entrance of tunnel for a mission.
The bots were really bad day 1 but last night they were almost underwhelming... So for me it seems the fix might already be active?
I feel the same , yesterday the bots calmed down a touch. They still spawn a bit more and they seem to have better tactics. I feel like they are flanking me much more than previous season
On the island last night they were insane. We had to hook up with other teams to get through.
I quit the game because this is not an EXFIL mode this is a zombie horde survival game mode...
If you kill 1 bot then every bot within 200m with charge at you then they will send helicopters one after the others sometimes 3 helicopters landing at the same time and they all T3 bots and they all charge at you faster than sonic...
We asked for a bots nerf but instead they buffed the bots health and damage and increased the number of reinforcements and updated the ai to Chase you across the map....
The bot issue is making the mode damn near unplayable. Not only are they hyper aggressive, but the endless reinforcement spawns will absolutely hamstring you. Especially for those running solo or going in without solid kit.

It's still safe. Land on the right side of the tail end and belly crawl. Exfiled solo from the island with the weapons case using my method.
One thing is its good practice. It definitely makes you a better player playing against more difficult AL.
I think the bots are more realistic, it gets more tactical and obviously when you get a bunch of tier 3 coming to your face sometimes retreat is the best option, youâre a soldier, not Superman!

You actually can still land on top of the exfil chopper, you just have to land right at the back
I believe the ship cargo mission is bugged as well. My whole team fully plated was shot out of the boat by the helicopter within 30 seconds

I was in the stronghold for the intel on Ashika Island and the damn bots literally kept respawning right in front of me! I ran out of ammo trying to kill them!
@6:54 They lied about the bots huhu. Bots are smarter now. This is surely intentional. But it's fine we just live with it.
The bots being more difficult is a BETTER thing. Adds some strategy. Makes it harder to just run away from the team to go solo.
Am i the only one that noticed that if you have a self revive and a second one stowed it no longer auto equips the stowed one after you use the first one? I only play solo and with the way the AI push and try to finish you off now i never have time to go into my backpack and equip my extra.
The stronghold keycard update is actually a bug fix for the season 1.
It was possible to keep stronghold keycards on season 1 if you pick it up (don't use it even just once), get killed, and get your team mate to rez you

On the subject of DMZ, I'd like to know why the deaths by AI are being counted against me when I look at my kills and deaths on the Gun Screen. My AI kills aren't up there so neither should my deaths by them. I'd appreciate if you would look into that. Thank you for your effort

Coming soon: Pro players spawn killing for tags, or camping every exfill for tags. You know since they have no use for doing missions since having all 3 slots
the dogtag change helps if you have ya tag stolen, now ya team can retrieve it and not have to give it to you
I really wouldn't be waiting for them to "fix" the bots. It happened when bldng 21 came out and they said it was an "accident" and it wasn't supposed to happen and they didn't do sh!t. Now ashika came out and all of a sudden it's an "accident" again and they STILL won't do SH!T TO FIX IT. I stopped playing dmz and just play rebirth now and I won't touch it again. I'm having a lot more fun in rebirth than dmz

I got a bug in gunsmith and it showed me a large weapon sticker for 600 exfils, too many

There is another change in season 2. Now you have manually install a new self-revive kit after you been killed and used a first one. Now it is the same like with self revive pistols, you have to manually install new one after you used previous one.
I noticed this too. I only play solo and the way the AI push you and try to finish you off i never have the opportunity to equip the one i have stowed.

Having different level dogtags does benefit you. You have perks. Should be harder to kill.
Seriously though I have a 97% killer ratio to actual players on dmz the bots though forget it they do insane damage I mean I get they didn't want to them to be pushovers and retrded so but still God damn tip always have a shot gun on ashika come in handy for the sneaky AI that just come up behind you and the side and are just rushing like methed up assholes really good for those oh shit dude almost took me out moments !
There is a bug if you take the last exfil you lose everything all weapons vest and backpack

Damn, last night I soloed a 3 squad and they all had gold tags.
Taking their leveled-up dog tags should increase your exfil streak by taking some of theirs.
I've never seen developers have such a problem getting a grasp on controlling their own programming. Every time they touch something, they create 10 new glitches or bugs. This is indicative of poor planning and of programming yourself into a corner. You know, when you paint yourself into a corner you eventually have nowhere to step but on your new paint? Yeah. They're stepping all over their new paint. Constantly. Pretty soon, this game is going to be nothing except bootprints all through their horribly chaotic and disorganized code.
You should get into New World, they have to disable core features of the game after every update. It's insane. The only reason people play it, like this one, is because the only alternatives are 10+ years old....
Bots are insane. Huge accuracy, ridiculous spotting and vision, endless reinforcements, I don't know how they get worse.
I will say, the dog tags are a good change, and I'm not sure why they would need to benefit the player. You already get perks from a 10+ exfil streak, and you're clearly already a good player at that. The tags are basically just either a value for your skill, or a reward for anyone who kills you saying "congratulations on defeating this skilled and perk full player!"
I agree on those dog tags.. it is basically a reward for killing potentionally stronger, fully upgraded and equipped player (almost guaranteed to have 3 plate west, insured weapons, kill streaks and full perks advantage) who is probably playing with a team on same level as him to achieve that exfill streak. There has to be some kind of reward for such fight where your target got a lot higher chance to win and you will probably get wrecked.

If you're downed but you have at least one teammate alive, you can "Ask for help" with the Square button; if the enemy players want to, they can revive you and make you part of their team instead.

Yes if you have tap to interact enabled it works now as intended
While the AI Bots are a lot more aggressive, they feel easier to kill. Doesn't take too many shots to kill them now, Even with Tier 3 AI bots, headshots feel easier to take them down.
