Yeah, it only seem popular to anime fans recently because they all have started to actually get interested of the sport and watch volleyball matches *at the same time or generation* , but to be honest, volleyball's actually been popular since before Haikyuu.

Alex Pena it's ok to use your fingertips, but if you use an open palm it's "illegal" and the other team gets the ball.

Some of these were incredible beyond words, others were a Libero doing their job.. You're THE back row specialist and cant be afraid to dive. Scaling chairs, barriers and humans to get to the ball tho... Those clips were amazeballs. Literally.

lol there is a big difference, cartoon is based on USA production for TV for kids as Tom & Jerry etc, Japan has they own art style you can see a plenty of differences there and it's not supposed to be all for kids, it has plenty of genres which are 18+. Plus they trying to avoid CGI they are trying to draw it manually...
I wish I had a highlight reel of me learning how to dig as a soccer player. So inclined to use my feet I had so many cool saves kicking the ball back into play. But as a learned more and more it happened less and less. But was cool at some of the crazy stuff I did
