- I just finished up doing a little more work to my buddies 72 C10 Cheyeene. He is the original owner and It just recently was repainted, but the interior was begining to show its age. So Join us as we freshen up this nice classic Chevy truck!!
Nice Truck..Best Regards
It’s a good thing you found what you found when you found it. I’ve not been able to get any Por15 patch for months now.
Maybe because I hoarded 4 tubes when I bought it. LOL
Brian, I checked under the carpet on my Dad's original 72 C10 and that foam was "not" installed by the factory. My truck still has the original carpet and black "fiberboard" in it, so I know without a doubt that the foam you came across under the carpet of this truck, was installed later during the life of this truck.
Thanks for the info ✌️
LMC sells a wrench that removes and installs that sending unit lock ring.
With this being the only one of these I’m going to do that would be a waste.
Those leaves in the cowl lead to water leaks in the kick panel vents which in turn rusts out floors, rockers, etc.
Which is why I put the screen in it after I repaired everything back there, so leaves can’t get in there again.
I love this truck. If it were mine the wheels would have to go to period correct. Am I right those are from an early 90s truck possibly?
Or late 80’s, not 100% sure. When he picked it up today, he’s wanting to possibly put on some 16” wheels.
Two bolts at the bottom of the tank. I’d your cover upside down based on those two slats?
Probably, there needs to be better instructions.
I noticed that whoever did the repaint also painted the firewall and the original chalk VIN number is now gone. I hate to see it wasn't preserved.
It’s there, not painted over, but care wasn’t taken to preserve it
