For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. (Hebrews 10:4)
The old testament does not claim that sins were “taken away” (i.e., completely removed) by animal sacrifices. The root of the Hebrew word translated “atonement” in the Old Testament is kaphar, which has the idea of “covering,” not total removal. This word is also used to refer to how Noah’s ark was to be covered with pitch.
Atonement only came through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The innocent animals bloodshed is pointing us to Jesus and representing his sacrifice but not taking place of it.

It amazes me how even though we pushed God away, he still tries to get us all back to the way it was when he first created everything. This really shows me how much he deeply cares about us. And I'm thankful for that.

God is love. It is simply not possible for Him to do anything but love us. The only thing that can displace sin is love, and Jesus is pure love (100% love means 0% sin). If God did not love us, He simply wouldn't be God, because God *is* love.

    • @homomorphic

@Mc Sauce absolutely, if you are not thankful for those born with ailments then you are shortchanging yourself. I thank the Lord not for the fact that they have ailments of course, but that I have been gifted with the presence of another soul to bring light into the darkness of this world.
As for the evil that happens when people choose to not follow Jesus, that is how it works. God doesn't force anyone to follow Him/Her, but rather He/She provides free will for each soul to make that decision and it is the very act of making the decision that refines the soul. This is how souls are made pure (the souls that willingly choose Jesus are made pure through Him). It is only by making that choice that the purity can be established, and of course, as soon as the choice exists that implies that there will be evil. Without evil, there would be no choice and no mechanism for salvation.

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

I used to get sad bc I thought that heaven was going to be boring and white and fluffy and repetive. But no, God is literally building a NEW EARTH that we will inhabit and live on forever and never ever die. This means better food, better architecture, beautiful animals, no sunburn, nicer beaches, no work, maybe even better technology. This is all very exciting to me. And to be in God's presence 24/7 would be amazing

Being that Jesus is coming back to restore, not re-create, I'm lead to believe work will still exist, but in His perfect plan for it. @tinagrace3103 Před 4 lety +443

This video gave me a new understanding of the phrase “your body is a temple of God” (1 Corinthians 6:19)... As the video stated, the temple was where people went to experience God’s presence on earth. However, they had to sacrifice a pure lamb to create that clean space so they could enter God’s presence... as we know that’s what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross. Before He ascended to heaven he promised that the Holy Spirit would come and live in us if we accept Him (John 14:16-17). This means that we can experience God’s presence anywhere and anytime because we are the temple of God (and others can experience it too from the anointing that is in us). And the most beautiful part about this that I think so many people miss is what actually happens in God’s presence- healing, peace, joy, revelation, chains being broken, enemies being defeated and so many other great things!! So when we say that ‘our bodies are a temple’, we’re saying that God has the power to do all this in us and through us. Thank you God🙌

This is actually what drew me to Jehovah's Witnesses-- this is what they've been preaching all along and it really shows in their life. Their priorities are in preaching the good news and their hope is not in this world, but in the new earth and God's reign to come.

so the torture and maiming of an individual makes you happy inside? and you say we atheists have no sense of morality...
seriously think about this with reasoning here, you are telling me to accept this gift from a guy named jesus which will help me gain favor with his Pops,(essentially).
Rather than truly and mostly humbly taking responsibility FOR MY OWN ACTIONS...I think i wont accept that gift because obviously the value of that gift when compared to the value of owning up to your faults seems to be worth little to no value when you compare the two...
why chose the EASY Route by accepting such a SCAPEGOAT than to MAN UP and own your own F.U.B.A.R...
and I as well could have simply brought in evidence in reality and not just in my sources to counter debate all the apologetics you know...But to deny this sort of evidence i bring to you is required of you because of your notion of what FAITH is in your ideology...we can build up strawmen all day but where would that get us

kevin colvin I want you to know that Christ loves you so much that He died for you. And not that only but also a Father who loved His Son very much put on Him the punishment of your sin so that you may live a new life. I could have thrown a nasty comment back or begun a argument from apologetics or teleological arguments or justification for your morality. But I want instead to tell you about Jesus.

Listen to yourself and then listen to your fellow followers around the globe, you know that some christians say you ARE NOT judged by your works but by FAITH ALONE where as others say a mixture of both.... heck you christians dont even Baptise the same ( the sprinkle on head or full immersion). IF your gonna talk to me about following "this" almighty god, Teach him how to use a telephone first to keep his own story straight.(Please use Logic 1:01) I mean think about this could it be that only one denomination is "Right" out of all the many hundreds of them, could you even be studying the wrong Christian view all these years? shouldnt you have got the sprinkle over the immersion, Baptism is arguably very important in the christian faith am i right? So if I were to follow a god that governs over where im to spend eternally, I would follow a more competent god verse one that cant keep order in his own household...and as for you,
shirley daughteroftheking, you should first debate against the members of your own flock to get the record straight before trying to get us FREETHINKERS to even consider joining your fold my friend because what your playing is a pretty sloppy hand

      @shirleydaughteroftheking5332 Před 9 lety +1

either you did not read my comment, or you misunderstood. It's NOT about works at all. All Christians agree that there is no amount of works that I can do to become a Christian because "there is none that doeth good, no not one."
yes, you will always run into cults...followers of men, but they have one factor in common... works.
And yes I understand where you are coming from. I was not raised in church, my grandfather was an atheist, my dad was an inventor, and because he saw design in the creation, he believed that all this...the creation...could not come about by mere chance (Romans 1:20). So I understand your freethinking very much. It's relying upon yourself for all knowledge. In other words I would have to be at all places, at all times, throughout history, to prove that God does not exist. So you have to rely on your faith (your thought) to believe in nothing. I rely on an accurate history book, that Proves It's Self over and over again to be true...The Bible.
please watch noahthemovie.com and hopefully you will understand.

ok if you read my comments im addressing your arguments head on, to summarize what i said in my comment, I said " For me to even consider worshiping a god it for one it has to not be the god given in the bible , but one more competent enough to rely a message to his people that is perfectly consistent no matter how you look at it....And then I gave an example of how some of your christian friends dont even agree with you on VERY important subject matters in terms of how you are saved and things like baptism....then i concluded that if you want to have freethinkers like me to join your flock YOU need to check yourself and the whole christian nation to be more consistent and consise with how everyone is supposed to portray christian standards....
My friend im attacking the foundations of your beliefs and it frightens me you dont even know it.
Riddle me this though here is a new question for you head over hills christians , why give praise to a god that asks you to believe in something without evidence, deny clear, and factual evidence that is steadily closing "god of the gaps" plugs as time progresses....
and lastly if im going to see this movie promise me youll take an science course at a local community college sometime...trust me your mind will be blown

So since Sin being the representation of death God allowed a clean unspotted animal to be sacrificed instead (clean pure animal) . Edventually Making Jesus being the Ultimate sacrifice . So in other words Symbolically. . Sin is death because it leads to death. Blood is life because it's created in US for the reason.

Girl, your analogy makes sense to me. There are times like that. When I see someone in a bad mood I do not want to go near them. When I hear someone is in a gang I do not want to go near them. When I hear someone has Covid19 I do not want to go near them. If it is someone preaching life, love, and forgiveness then I yearn for them to talk to me. This is such a good explanation of God's space and our space. I'd just like to add that biblically, we don't enter God's space when we die but we rest peacefully in the earth (like sleeping) until the new heaven and new earth are finally reunited.
Daniel 12:2-3 (KJV) And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Joy Charisma I'm pretty sure sleep in the earth is a metaphor for being dead- regardless what is done to you after. God said "dust we are and to dust we shall return," and that just means that we will die.

    • @jl1267
      @jl1267 Před 7 lety +2

There is a type of precedent for not being cremated a few places in the bible, but I agree that in the end it doesn't really matter.
Example #1 is that king Josiah was a good king according to God. One of the stories was that Josiah became aware of the Law of Moses after one of the priests read it to him, and he became so angry with past generations that he destroyed all of the altars and idols of the false gods. In fact he became so angry that in 2nd Kings ch23 v16, he burns the bones of the former priests and kings that built the altars who sacrificed to these false gods, who were already dead and gone. Like, he went to their grave sites, dug up their remains, and burned them.
Example #2 is the book of Jude v9, which gives us this one-line anecdote of how the arch angel Michael was somehow involved in a dispute over the body of Moses. There isn't much more to it, but it is interesting none-the-less.
Even still, we're told we'll be given new bodies in the kingdom that God has in store for us, and so we will not need these old ones. I certainly wouldn't be looking forward to inhabiting this corruptible flesh body, so, yeah.
      God bless.

As you mention after we died, we will go to heaven. But what I believe is this. We won't go to heaven after we died rather we all will sleep/rest and will be resurrect when Jesus return, of course if we found worthy. The rest who not resurrected will rise for Great white throne judgment.
And another, after the millennium reign and great white throne judgment, God made New Heaven and New Earth. That's where we all will be together with God for eternity. Our eternal life is not in heaven but in New Earth.
Yes Jesus said, He going prepare a place for us in heaven, but He gonna bring it here.
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
      Rev 21:1‭-‬4

      Hi Lopez,
As a believer in Jesus, when we die we will be united with Christ in heaven. It is important to note the separation of body, soul and spirit in the context of rest. Our spirits are renewed at the moment we are born again, our souls are renewed progressively through confessing our sins and repenting, and ultimately our bodies will be renewed at the resurrection, which only occurs at Jesus' second coming, when He casts Satan bound into the abyss. In this context, when we die, our bodies "rest" in the grave, but our soul-spirit man goes to be with God in heaven. As Hebrews 9:27 says, we are appointed once to die, and then we are judged. The Bible is clear in the event Jesus shares of the rich man and Lazarus. Both died, and the rich man went to Hades, the place of the dead, not Hell, as the Antichrist and false prophet will be the first two to be cast into the burning lake of fire known as Hell. Lazarus was with Abraham in paradise, and the rich man could both see them, and speak to Abraham from across the gulf that separated them. This is clear evidence that we will not "rest" until Jesus comes. Also, when Jesus was on the cross, he said to the thief on the cross that he would be with Jesus in paradise that same day. Both of them went to heaven when they died. I hope this helps, God bless you for asking.

      @kvanniekerk3792 Před 7 lety +20

@Ceg Man, thanks for asking. I think the question you are actually asking is who decides who is deserving of heaven? If so, the answer to that question is simple. No one is deserving.
Romans 3:23 AMPC - all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.
Romans 6:23 AMPC - For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.
Therfore, since birth, we ALL are on a collision course with Hell as our ultimate destiny. THAT'S why GOD sent HIS only Son JESUS CHRIST, to pay the penalty in our stead. HE took sin and death upon HIMSELF, in order that those who believe this, and turn in repentance to HIM, will NOT die in Hell, but have eternal life in Heaven, with HIM, forever.

I wonder if science hasn't discovered that overlapping Heavenly realm but they can only describe it as Dark (aka Unknown) Matter and Dark Energy. According to current empirical observations, the physical realm makes up less than 5% of matter and energy in the Universe. The other 95%+ is something we cannot see or interact with but which exerts influence on our less than 5%. Given that we estimate there are Billions and Billions of physical galaxies, just how big would that make the other realm? Wouldn't that be amazing.

If the Bible didn't somehow give clues as to how the world will end, I would have guessed that scientists actually manage to exploit the "dark matter" and unleash the spiritual realm.

    HEAVEN
A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bridebeautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without costfrom the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb
9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plaguescame and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[c] in length, and as wide and high as it is long. 17 The angel measured the wall using humanmeasurement, and it was 144 cubits[d] thick.[e] 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.[f]21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.
22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of Godgives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

“His disciples said to Him, "When will the Kingdom come?"
Jesus said, "It will not come by waiting for it. It will not be a matter of saying 'Here it is' or 'There it is.' Rather, the Kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men do not see it."
If by grace, one has experienced this eternal (beginning-less and endless) truth, that God/the ultimate source has literally become the present experience in its totality, then one has access to eternal peace and joy, in this life and in any other imaginable life, provided that the understanding is carried forward or discovered anew in said life.
The video refers to 'absorbing sin' on the cross, but the misinterpretation is that this is in order to create some future 'clean space.' I think the real 'absorbing of sin' is the liberation from one's own concepts/beliefs re: wrong/bad, that there is something we can 'do' to fix it, and that things will be different/better at some future time and place. This liberation is on offer to anyone who seriously considers the possibility that this experience, right here and now as you are reading this, IS heaven and can not, in principle, be any different or improved upon. Of course, 'men do not see it.'That said, would anyone honestly look God in the eye and say 'this (gesturing with your hands) isn't good enough ... give me more!' I sure wouldn't.
I see that there could be a 'God space' that is inaccessible, by definition, to us right now, like a parallel dimension. But if at some future time you are having an experience of that space, then it has entered into the circle of your experience, and there will always remain the possibility of 'something more' outside of your experience of which you are not yet aware (unless you are exceedingly arrogant and overconfident in your own knowledge). If you believe that you need to know the infinite in order to be at peace, then you can/will never be at peace.
The downside to this shift in perspective is that if you start to get it, then you realize that what you thought 'needs to be done' actual doesn't. There is actually nothing to do. Which doesn't mean you won't do anything, just that the urgency, the feeling that there is something wrong that needs to be fixed, falls away. This can be very disorienting, distressing, and boring, if you are very attached to the 'projects' that exist in your mind. This is probably why Jesus was persecuted, because this knowledge undermines (at least superficially) the beliefs that motivate people and keep society humming along.
I apologize if I offended anyone.
    All glories to God,
    Peace Peace Peace

      no.
Now watch as i present actual scripture and destroy your heresy. Thank you LORD Jesus for the discernment to do so. I am not an intellectual. I'm a dude with a Bible.
      Matthew 25:41
“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:”
PREPARED = God created hell, he made it ready to receive the Devil and his Angels. He did not intend for us to go with them, that's our choice.
      2 Peter 3:9
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
If you get on board the Tim Mackie train you're denying that God created hell, and in doing so denying true repentance. Because you don't understand what you're being SAVED from WHEN you repent to begin with.
      Furthermore
      John 18:36
“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.”
We clearly see heaven isn't here...
      Moving on...
      John 16:33
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
We are not promised the peace you suppose we are... we are told we will face tribulation. Persecution is very real, if you haven't experienced it, wait a while, if you go a lifetime without resistance, i would be VERY concerned. Ours is not a path of least resistance. We WILL have tribulation but through Jesus Christ, we are at peace, knowing where our final resting place is. With him, IN HEAVEN!
In closing i will say this... if anyone sincerely believes this FALLEN WORLD is heaven... i truly feel bad for you and i pray you wake up, and OPEN UP your King James Bible.
God bless, with love and sincerity.

I love this. You guys are awesome. So many questions and thoughts being brought up for me right now. But I'll start here:
Heaven and earth will be brought together completely when Jesus returns. I believe the Bible is 100% true so I believe that statement. So if I die today and Jesus comes back 500 years from now is your view that my soul will be with Jesus but not in heaven for the 500 years between death and His return?
This is something I've always been confused about. Especially when reading Revelation because it seems to say then when Jesus returns is when Christians will be in heaven. But from what I've been told since I was a small child is that when Christians die they go to heaven. But it can't be both ways.
Good news is: Exactly how everything works out isn't really something I need to be concerned about. God already has that planned. Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again, Hallelujah.

    • @bibleproject
      @bibleproject  Před 10 lety +8

Thanks for the feedback and the question: there are just a handful of biblical passages that talk about the state of Christians after they die. Paul says they are "with Christ" (Philippians 1:21-24), or "with the Lord" (2Corinthians 5:6-8). Jesus said to the man on the cross next to him "today you'll be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43). In Revelation 6:9-11 depicts (in symbolism!) the souls of martyred Christians in the presence of God.
So all these point to some kind of non-physical existence in the presence of Jesus, awaiting a future resurrection into the new creation, which is what Paul is talking about in Romans 8:23 when he talks about 'the redemption of our bodies'. The Bible doesn't describe this state in any detail, but instead focuses on the future hope of when God reclaims and restores his good world. Hope that helps!

    • @brianhyde5900
      @brianhyde5900 Před 9 lety +1

You will not find Heaven as it is traditionally understood by Christians. Show me where it is described.
There is the spirit world and the "third heaven" where Paul went to in spirit.
That is where we go post-mortem. The body that borrowed life from the spirit perishes but the spirit lives on including your entire identity (soul).
Nor btw, is there a "hell". Show me where it is described in scripture. You have Hebrew figures of speech for both heaven and hell but they are not actual places but metaphors using the typical Hebraic highly exaggerated figures of speech for what is simply (albeit, dreadful) temporal judgment.
"Heaven" is a spiritual state of mind.
Jesus said the "kingdom of God" or "heaven" is (present tense) in your midst or within you. Paul describes the saints as (present tense) sitting in heavenly places. The kingdom of God and "heavenly places" are not literal places but metaphors for abiding in the presence of God IN THE SPIRIT. All Bible prophecy has to be understood in this way...metaphorically. It is symbolic. Revelation is symbolic. It tells you in the very first chapter.
Then it is important to understand that Christ returned in AD66-70 in Judgment. He predicted that it would happen within the lifetime of his audience and some would not taste death until they "saw" (spiritually discerned) it happening. After it happened they would live on and then taste death (die).
Study out the full preterist view of soteriology and eschatology as revealed in scripture. It will clear away the fog of Christian myth and tradition.
Our problem is that we keep making the mistake of taking literal that which is spiritual. Jesus said my words are SPIRIT and truth. The natural always points to the spiritual. This video goes a long way to showing that and that's why I like it. God has always wanted to pitch His tent alongside man. Jesus said that the kingdom of God or the kingdom of heaven does NOT come with observation. And yet 2,000 years later, folk are still looking for an end of this planet and for a physical Heaven or a physical new Earth. They are looking in the wrong place bcause they misunderstand what it is they should be seeking.
All Bible prophecy was fulfilled in the first century in Christ and the NT church.
The Judgment that took place in AD66-70 was not only of Israel but of all nations.
      What was judged?
      The Adamic nature.
"Sin" and "death" have been destroyed because in Christ the Adamic nature has been LEGALLY destroyed. The man of sin (the natural man) was crucified and buried. A new man (spiritual man) was raised from the tomb and now lives forever. Adam was a man of the flesh, Christ was a man of the spirit. What Adam did, Christ reversed.
In God we all live and move and have our being.
Am I say we do no wrong today? No. We still do wrong? That's because we are not perfect. We need to learn to live in love. But we are no longer counted as sinners as far as God is concerned. We have been justified and are now restored sons and daughtes of God.
      Spiritually.
We can now enter His presence with the full assurance of faith because of what God did through His Son (2Cor 5:19: Rom 5:18).
Jesus came not only to take away our sins but to give us life and life more abundantly; eternal quality life and that comes from knowing God (Jn 17:3) and knowing by experience, the full extent of his love (Paul's "length, breadth, depth, etc.")
I hope you will consider these things. There is a lot of misunderstanding in Christian circles and it keeps many in natural bondage. The truth has and will set us free.
      Blessings!

I'm not sure what you mean by "traditionally understood" heaven. But there are plenty of verses in the Bible describing both Heaven and Hell.
      Some verses about Heaven:
Matthew 5:17-20 talks about who can enter the kingdom of Heaven
John 14:2-4 explains that God has prepared a place for all believers and that believers will be taken there when Jesus returns.
Colossians 3:1-7 talks about Jesus being seated on the right hand of God and to set our minds on things above instead of earthly things.
Revelation 21:4-8 explains that in Heaven there will be no death or mourning or crying or pain. And also talks about Hell by saying that those who do not believe in Christ as their savior will belong in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Matthew 22:29-33 says that at the resurrection believers will be like the angels in Heaven.
John 6:25-59 are really great verses about heaven and hell.
      Some verses about Hell:
Matthew 25:46 says unbelievers will go away to eternal punishment
Psalm 9:17 says the wicked will return to the grave
2 Thessalonians 1:9 says unbelievers will be punished with everlasting destruction
Matthew 13:50 says unbelievers will be thrown into a fiery furnace
2 Peter 2:4 says that God did not spare the angels when they sinned but sent them to hell.
There's more verses as well. I'm not a theologian, and I have not studied Greek or Hebrew. But I have been a Christian for many years and have spent time studying the scriptures. (not that that makes me better than anyone just stating even though I haven't studied Greek/Hebrew I can still have a valid opinion on Biblical matters)
Also, I know that Jesus has not returned in judgement. I can know this because if that were the case there would be no more sin, suffering, or death. It's only 9:00am where I am and I'm sure all 3 of those things has happened many times already today.
Also as this video talks about there will be the new heaven and earth. Which is obviously not where we are living today as there is sin and death all around us at all times.
The book of Revelation explains these things well. One thing I would recommend is to understand that the whole book of the Bible is TRUE. If you don't believe one part of it that discredits the rest of it. Context of the verses is key here as well.
"Am I say we do no wrong today? No. We still do wrong? That's because we are not perfect. We need to learn to live in love. But we are no longer counted as sinners as far as God is concerned. We have been justified and are now restored sons and daughters of God.
      Spiritually."
I'm not sure what you meant by this. Yes believers have been justified and are sons and daughters of God. Literally. I am not "Spiritually" a child of God. I am literally a child of God.
There is a literal heaven and a literal hell. Thankfully, God's will is for all people to know Him and the Truth and He wants all people in heaven with Him. Unfortunately there will still be people who refuse to believe the Truth. (John 5)
Like I said before as well, I'm no theologian. But I know that everyone can be 100% sure if they will be spending eternity with Jesus and God or not when they pass or when Jesus returns.
"Jesus answered, I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes t the Father except through me." John 14:6

Its nice to see christians read their holy book for a change , but what still sways me from saying that this is any bit as real as people in your camp say it is this simple one simple thing. Why believe in something that literally wants its followers to disregard all evidence and simply obey in its teachings...aka have faith in other words

That happened to me years ago, I held onto my Holy Bible everywhere I went for a month, because each time I touched it, I felt like sin was being drained from me into the book. It was a silly moment, but your story explains my supernatural experience, where what we believe directs our outcomes. What happened is I got over it, and by faith I believe in the Father by way of the Son.
