DRAMAMINE/Gravol sells at both ports. Going back down to Tdad is smoother ride.
I never eat on the boats, and I sleep immediately from start till arrival.
Tobago, hopefully you have someone to drive you around the tiny island maybe 8hrs.
    Visiting:
    Plymouth mystery tombstone
    Roxborough Argyle waterfall
    Speyside lookout, and little tobago.
    Parlatuvier hill lookout
    Castara dirt oven bread
Taste bake and smoke herring/ buljol
    Taste curry crab and dumplings.
    Taste callaoo and dasheen
    Taste tobago pelau
    Taste any milk punch.
Taste coconut bake and cocoa tea.
Eat fresh cocoa and drink coconut water.

Next time take some Gravol tablets before you sail. It helps. Sorry you got sick. Get the Gravol. Going through the Dragons Mouth and the Bocos can be a challenge for most people. 😊

African Tigress - Make sure to return on one of The Catamarans - The APT JAMES or THE BUCCOO REEF.
Additionally take 02 Gravol tablets 30 minutes before sailing; and minimize your eating. Do this and you would enjoy a beautiful ride that combines sleep and maritime sightseeing.
Pay heed to this advice and your trip back to Trinidad would be wonderful.
    Enjoy Beautiful Tobago...!!!!

The scent of the boat together, the roughness of the seas, and the duration of the travel can cause sea sickness. Even some locals feel it too, we are not immune. I suggest next time to take some gravel. It helps settles your stomach and the drowsy side effects can help you sleep through out the journey. I hope you continue to enjoy our country. Both Islands have thier own unique charms.

Happy you visited Tobago. Next time you have to take Gravol pill to prevent sea sickness, however, you need to take them before the ferry pulls out. That way you will be able to eat. Going back to Trinidad you will not feel that way because the boat is going with the tide but when going to Tobago it is riding against the tide. That is my best explanation of it. Hope you enjoyed your stay and will visit again.

Sea sickness is real, I’m lucky I’ve never had it but if you do get it, the trick is not to eat anything before going on boat rides.. I did a sail boat ride once for a week out at sea on a old fashioned sailing boat.. when I finally got on land, I got land sickness because my body got used to the motion/ movement of the boat at sea.. it’s crazy how that works.

Haiti has a rich history but suffers so much. It is the first place that slaves fought in the 17 century and became free, they lead the road to freedom and opened their door to other slaves, and slave escaping their country on arriving in Haiti automatically became free and a citizen. Other slaves looked up to Haiti and because of them all other slaves in the islands and the Americas fought for their freedom.

As a former seaman I can tell you, after throwing up the first time, your stomach is now acclimatized and your seasickness days are done. That's how it works when you live on a ship, not sure about the occasional sea goer like yourself. Had you taken the 'over the counter' anti nausea pill Gravol, you would have been good to go.

Those Bocas waters can be a challenge when heading towards Tobago. You will however be fine if you chose to travel back to Trinidad on boat.

Sorry about your situation. As everyone said, take gravol as you get on the boat, additionally try not to eat anything before going on the boat. The trip is jus 4 hours to Tobago so if you can just hold out till then.

coffee and that sandwich was a critical mistake lol when I saw you eating before you left I knew it wouldn't end well. Going back to Trinidad especially on the late sailing is way better and they seem to be in less of a hurry. Also sit to the back middle of the boats for less turbulence. Never sit in the front especially by the window

So sorry you experienced such intense sickness on the boat trip. It would be better to take a plane flight back to Piarco.

Next time take gravol. When coming back it is a different ride and try not to watch the water. We went on the buccoo reef boat

If you went on the Galleons Passage that is the worst boat. It takes the longest and rocks the most. As well taking Gravol before is always a must. Lol
