to answer your question, yes you can roast chestnuts on your log burner!
we have one at our house too and we just get a small frying pan and put the chestnuts in it, you can also buy a special cast iron chestnut pan to roast them on too!

Wow fab haul some really lovely bits, will deffently have to take a trip to b&m now. And yep you can roast chestnuts on the top of the fire as long as there’s a flat surface to sit them on they take a little while to cook but are so yummy we do this every year. Have a fab weekend
