I ran into the same problem living abroad for 4 years in France and I loved it so much but the weight of knowing that I will never get that time back with the people I loved became too much. I moved back to hometown and it is still too early to tell if I will regret it, somedays I do but other times I am just so grateful to be close with them again. It's hard because it's like do I live for myself or for others but at the same time what I want are these people. Maybe I overthought the situation and I could have made it work but the idea of spending my life apart from the people I love and almost become a stranger to the people who love me the most broke my heart. I know that I may not see them everyday but I will definitely see them more than the month or two out of the year plus with the 9 hour time difference calling was extremely difficult. I think as people who have the spirit to move abroad we are in a tough situation because we are passionate people with lots of love but these loves, love for adventure and beauty and change and love for the people in our life are just so far apart.

Your young & beautiful you now have 5yrs experience abroad surely their is something (maybe a translator ) you can do in Florida .. Florida is the best state to live in so much to explore from the panhandle to the south of Miami you will never be bored & Central Florida -Orlando /Tampa are on fire 🔥 Florida is huge over 300 beaches & islands to see ,atleast you will only be hours away 4000 miles is tooooo far!! life is too short to be away from family especially if you have a good relationship with them .You can always travel for adventures but time with family is priceless. ♥️🙏🏻

as an older guy, i can understand some of your feelings, but i can only express my opinion to you. you are lucky, that you have that opportunity, the chance to travel and see other places. to experience other locations. home is were your heart takes you, not what you miss. there will be a time, when you will find a place, where you find a new point of interest, maybe love, maybe affection, maybe a new life. you have the chance to chose, the place, where you maybe want to settle down and build a new home, your home. it is about you and you alone. when you have found this place, the feeling of homesickness will fade and will ease your heard, your soul.
Cecily, you are not only one that feel like that. we also have feeling that you are trying to express. you choose a lifestyle to live, but we cant get everything in the same time, u know that. We are here for stand next to you, dont forget that ^^ take care -friend.

next plog when?
Count the hours, per month, you'd spend with family. Then, consider the balance of hours you'd have to make life enjoyable without them.
I can understand why you'd occasionally miss them, but it strikes me that life's too short to waste vast chunks of it just for the few hours of pleasure you'll derive from them. What would you be sacrificing, to be near them? What are they prepared to sacrifice, for the same? Obviously, your family may be unlike most others, only you can judge that. In my experience, they'll carry on regardless, miss you though they may. Moreover, when you create your own family, what would you want for them? This will typically become the main focus of a person's life, one day.
Just some thoughts, for you to contemplate. Best wishes, whichever route you choose.
P. S. Anyone trying to sell you Florida, over Europe... Well... What do you think?
