Million kisses in your lifetime is the second book. It’s a interconnected standalone. it doesn’t really matter what order you read it but you should read in order because the couples are mentioned in the books
For Assassin’s Blade I recommend starting with that before Throne of Glass. You’ll understand the main character more that way. I hope you love the TOG journey! I also have a ton of Frieda McFadden books to get to. I want to collect her whole backlist since I loved Never Lie so much. I’m even starting a readalong on her Housemaid series on my channel next month that I’m excited for.
Never Lie was SOO good! I would love to have her whole backlist it just seems like she has so many!!
@@laurengursky Frieda seems to be cranking them out!
literally
personally i read TOG first and im glad i did bc if i read AB first i probably wouldnt have continued on with the series lol
i personally dont recommend reading assassins blade first, tho it gives a backstory it also spoils a huge plot point for the mcs story,, like i had no idea it happened until you read assassins blade,, spoiling the thing for urself just doesnt give you the fun mystery you have going along,, read it as third and i wouldnt have it any other way
I LOVED just for the summer! seriously so good!!
did you think it was sad? i have seen a few people say it was
Just For the Summer was 5 stars for me, I hope you love it too!
ooo i can't wait it looks so good
In the lives of puppets was one of the first books I read in April and it was a 5⭐️ read for me. I’m so excited for somewhere beyond the sea! It’s a sequel to house in the cerulean sea 😊
oh yay i'm glad you liked it, i haven't heard anyone talk about it yet! and i DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS A SEQUEL!! that makes me SO EXCITED
I also started with Assassin’s Blade! It honestly makes the story flow and it works better reading it before TOG
so then do you read ToG third? or second? clearly i need to do more research lol
@@laurengursky there’s a reading guide on google :) jus search up “throne of glass reading guide” and it should be the first thing that pops up. go through side where you read AB first. hope this helps 😋
I would highly recommend reading Assassins Blade 3rd. If you read it first you will not really care about the characters. However if you read it third you already love the world and then get some in depth backstory. If you read it then it takes place in a few week long time jump between book 2 and 3, so it feels like a reflection. My friends have also read it this way and enjoyed it!
ugh i'm getting such mixed opinions! 😭😂
@@laurengursky haha, it truly depends on the person I geuss. Personally I wouldn’t have enjoyed it first but others say they loved it.
A Million Kisses In Your Lifetime(4.5) is technically part of the Lancaster Prep Series, but I only read this one book and really enjoyed it... I think most people have only read this one book(it's the only one that got any hype)
I quite enjoyed Pineapple Street(4.25)
I just heard a trusted BookTuber(Geena Lillian) say to start with Assassin's Blade... She read it 3rd and stated that AB helped her really get connected with the story and would have helped her get more into the story if she had read 1st 🤷🏻♂
oo okay good to know!! that's what I thought...i've only ever heard people talk about a million kisses if your lifetime. i think i'll just stick to reading that one lol
First of, kudos for pushing through regardless of you accidentally filming w/o the lights on! Second, I would def recommend reading Assassin's Blade first before TOG because the events in AB happened before TOG. Reading the prequel will definitely make u understand the main character more and discover easter eggs throughout the series. Alot of events and characters were mentioned in the following books which I think gives a huge plus to the reading experience.
haha thank you i have no idea how i didn't realize the light was not on😅 i'm getting such mixed opinions but im leaning towards starting with AB
hahaha omg not the shout out 🤭
hehe im so excited to read it
I devoured wild love by Elsie silver. I loved it ❤
i am so excited to read it!! i didn't even know she had a new release so soon!
tip: read assassin's blade first!
Your videos are so fun to watch, they're very entertaining!
why thank you!
The first book to A Million Kisses is Things I Wanted To Say But Never Did. I didn’t enjoy it as much because it is a bully romance.
oh yeah i dont think i would like a bully romance, i think ill just stick to reading a million kisses
Assissans Blade gives you the back story of the main character. That’s the one I started with.❤❤❤
that's what i'm leaning towards
1000% read assassins blade first! Its a prequel- I think if you start with tog it gets right into the story and to stop at the 2nd or 3rd book to jump back in time and read the backstory it doesn’t make sense to do. AB first gives you such a good backstory and connects you to the main character. I can’t imagine reading it 3rd. You’d read throne of glass second then crown of midnight if you start with assassins blade :)
I read ToG through EoS back in I think 2016 and didn’t know the novella’s in The Assassin’s Blade was even a thing. SJM then gave us ToD instead of the actual finale and it pissed me off so I quit. Then we found out things about the MaasUniverse so I decided to start over and then finish the series. I knew me so I read them all back to back in January. If I tried to pick up things in between I’d never finish the series. About 1/3 of the way into ToG I decided I would read The Assassin’s Blade and I think you get more out of the series as a whole by reading AB first. But with the way I read it my opinion may be skewed. I still say AB first.
thats what I am seeing the majority of people say too!
is this my sign to get more books
absolutely
idk what to do about TOG either cause i think SJM recently said to read AB third but the book girlies (destiny sara and haley) recommend reading 11:54 it first and i trust them lol
also ignore the time stamp that was fully a typo my bad 😂
i read AB first and it’s honestly so worth it and better! you truly feel what the main character feels and you won’t get confused throughout the story :)
read it third !!!! if i had read it first i wouldn’t have cared to continue the series because you won’t feel as connected to the main character
HAHA i was so confused when i read the time stamp
read assassins blade third!!! i will die on this hill. if i had read it first i just wouldn’t have cared to continue because you have no connection to the main character
that's what i've see people say too, i am so torn
a million kisses in your lifetime was terrible. Plot was so boring. The only good thing is that the characters were laughable. Writing style was just...no. Also, why is it even categorized as YA?? There's a bunch of sex scenes it...whatever.
oh noo!! i didn’t know it was marketed as YA…does not seem like it should lol
You haaave to read throne of glass asap, your whole life is going to be changed! 😫🤌🏼
Personally I read Assassin‘s blade as the fourth book so after Heir of fire and I think that you‘re able to appreciate it the most after the second or the third book because when you read it as the first you‘re not really invested in the backstory of Celaena as much 🤷🏼♀️
But either way is possible
