Does it really take 50min for so little rice? Is it actually cooking it faster or the timer is precise and correct?

I got this one as well, each time I cook two cups of white rice, it seems to be done faster. But the countdown should be correct in last 10-15 minutes.

Can you steam vegetables in it? Can’t find any video of doing other things than just rice

if you just want a rice cooker, TIGER brand is our go to rice cooker. the Cosori one is good if you want to cook other stuff like oatmeal.
the reason i wont buy this is because it takes 54 minutes to make rice , that's so long. other ones make 30 minutes or even 20 if you get an instant pot. people have a lot of patience. plus its close to the price of the yum asia ones which are excellent

Almost 1 hour for rice? I can cook it on the stove in 30 minutes.
More like 10-12 minutes on the stove.
@@ludigracic nope. 15 - 20 minutes to simmer (depending on the type of grain - long, medium or short) and 5-10 minutes with the burner off to steam.

@@ludigracic I use my instant pot as a rice cooker. I would like a separate rice cooker eventually but I don't think I will get this one.
It has a quick rice function which is faster!
