Vortens Vienna vs Kohler Wellworth Waterguard

- No surprise here. The trapway is fully glazed in the Vienna and not at all glazed on the Wellworth. These tests are exactly the reason I dislike these pieces of junk. I mean honestly, this Wellworth was outperformed by a freaking Vortens toilet. C'mon Kohler.
Kohler went downhill in the 3.5 era then redeemed themselves in the 1.6/1.28 era.
I think they were really good from 1988 to 1993 but then they dropped

pretty disappointing how miserably the wellworth failed. the vienna did extremely well especially for a front flusher. not sure what happened with it on the grocery bag and wash cloth test tho.

How th heck for my Glacier bay struggle on 25 ft and passed 30 ft, why glacier bay why?

The newer toilet did pretty well, and though I like the height of it, I still feel partial to the 1978 Wellworth, mainly because of its color. 🤎🤣
I like that color and it definitely matches the age.
The left toilet is good better than the Water guard
The water guard is worth it did not flush a Washcloth Because the trash is small on that water guard the toilet on the left is better.

I really like these Wellworths but I'm definitely disappointed in it. Just goes to show you can't always praise something for being"vintage". The Vortens did about how I expected, very similar to the Lamosas in my house.

The first gen Waterguard has to be the second worst performing wellworth ever only above the wellworth lite.

Unwellworth waterwasters are the worst vintage toilets i know of!! I freaking hate them
The ones from the 1980s seem to be pretty awful but the 70s Waterguards are a little better. I don't trust weak flushing toilets with tiny, unglazed trapways.
The vortens surprised me and the wellworth disappointed me

Personally, I haven't used one but this one flat out sucks

Only from 01-01-2011 to 12-31-2011. This one I believe is from the late 2000s so it was not part of the recall.

I think a Radcliffe-style trap Wellworth Water Guard (from the mid 80’s to mid 90’s) would be much better than this Wellworth.

The Waterguard is better!! You should use some American acid to clean the rim jets in the siphon jet and yeah that’s why I didn’t siphon!
It's all clear, I've done that numerous times and I can't feel anything in the trapway. When I poke around and scrape in the trapway, no minerals or even crumbs of minerals come out.

Doesn't matter if the trapway isn't big enough to carry a simple grocery bag or dish towel. The Vortens Vienna schools the Waterguard Wellworth, and that's a proven fact.

I got rid of three of them but I still have one.
Vortens vienna outperforms a kohler wellworth waterguard because the waterguard trap is tiny and unglazed but the vienna trap is fully glazed kohler you should be embarrassed that your well known toilet got outperformed by a cheap forgein made builder grade toilet just the first flush on its own because of the poorly marked water line tsk tsk tsk
It's especially embarrassing that a foreign-made builder grade toilet using almost half the water can outperform a name brand from 40 years ago.
The WG’s are very overrated and I’d take the vortens any day
