I wish Hitch was still with us.
That sounds almost religious! XD For people who don't believe in anything after death, you lot sure do spend a lot of your time talking about something you don't even believe in. What is it the youth say> YOLO? Go and practice that doctrine then if you truly believe that because even the Catholic priests are getting more than atheist basement dwellers.
Jared Kenneth Why be sad? yolo
Atheists Exposed what does his comment have to do with believing in anything after death? he said "I wish hitch was STILL here" still alive. whats wrong with discussing things you don't believe to be true? your comment makes very little sense.
Atheists Exposed Atheists can't miss the dead? Since when do the religious own grief?
Jared Kenneth
What do you expect with a user who's name is "Atheists Exposed". It's the most hilarious name on all of youtube and should be nominated for a prize.
I love when Richard Dawkins is like "Science is wonderful. Science is beautiful. Religion is... not wonderful. It's not beautiful. It gets in the way..."
Immanuel Kant Said a guy on a computer/smartphone using the internet.
@@null683 No that was supposed to be God's message (believe in me or else!)
I agree…and I’m Christian 😂
ALL religion is false.
Believing in God is NOT a religion, it’s a way of life.
Are scientists the new rock stars?
wish they were
Futurama's coming true.
As scientist these guys have rather mediocre CVs. Its the atheism that made them famous. They are the teachers of the groupies who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear (2 Timothy 4:3). But lets not judge it because ...czcams.com/video/PmK9Mvsyfqs/video.html
@@sarmesalas9230 "As scientist these guys have rather mediocre CVs. " Boo hoo, a religious who's envy of them (i doubt you have a better CV). Quoting a book who doesn't pass in the scientic method. It's MYTHOLOGY. Go back to your superstitions and your christian mythology. Let the adults rule the world, little child. You ruled the world for too long, the age which your religion was in its apex is called "DARK AGES". Let the reason and the true light of the scientific knowledge take over. The mythology era is over, let the era of reason begin, we now have evolved as humans, we don't need childish superstitions anymore.
Question your beliefs. See if they can stand up to reality.
And what is reality?...
pander22 What do you mean "is"?
Stuart Burgess I think you should define what you mean by what
...Well it's all relative, I guess...
The reality that complex organisms that are far more complex than anything made by humans somehow arose without a creator??
Atheism doesn't stand up to reality.
Religion is toxic. Knowledge is power.
nah man I think its early science
lightnslim Explain. Do you mean early science is toxic?
mm I don't think religion is toxic theres a lot of good from it, like washing hands an stuff
lightnslim To be toxic does not mean that no good can occur. For instance snake venom is used for treatment of certain conditions. But idiots also handle snakes and kill themselves, no loss to society, but certainly a huge deal for their family and friends. Washing hands has nothing to do with religion, the religious were just as inclined as everybody else to avoid bathing, but science could have told them soap beats prayer at disease prevention hands down.
but if u were a good religious person u would take showers also what does snake venom hav to do with anything theres no good from it in its normal form
I just imagined a world without religion and it was beautiful. Money is not the biggest problem in the world, its religion.
Agreed! A world without religion would be awesome. Just remember: the 50 most violent countries are the most religious. And the 50 less violent are the less religious.
If you could throw in narcissism, ignorance and hatred, you might have something.
Why am I only learning about this movie now? This just sky-rocketed to #1 on my wish-list.
I totally agree with Ricky's statement, "the facts, if you're rational, should change your beliefs". I am an ordained Christian minister. I served several congregations for over 30 years. I consider myself a believer - NOT in religion - but in God. The more I study consistent with a scientific method, the more I am convinced of my belief. At the same time, I have also become more aware of the many short-comings of religion. We must be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater!
WHEN?? i want to see this!
Fucking love these guys.
I choked up at the end of the movie, seeing the words "for Christopher."
I'm stoked to finally watch this!
I want to see this so bad!!! Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near their stops. I'll just have to wait until it comes out on BlueRay...
The universe does not think we think for the universe.
To believe in a magic man that made every thing is to insult human intelligence !
Great documentary and long overdue. I saw earlier today; always so spot on and necessary.
I love the look in Richards face when Lawrence ask him that question in first 10 seconds of this trailer :DDDD
Religion and science are both true . They both are part of a bigger reality . from where they both originate . both have their role to play for the better of mankind . There is a link between both which science and religion will both accept . The journey towards the absolute is very very complex . The absolute truth is the answer to all religious and scientific questions .
Religion is nothing but the poison inflicted on mankind since his birth. Yes uniqueness of spiritual; Power is some thing which can be equated with Science
Dear Vipinji lets come to religion first what in religion you feel is a poision and why .
Dear Dinesh - What you define by religion is nothing but a set of doctrine set up by a few chosen in various societies to follow without any murmur. Therefore religion can never be a mirror of logical belief which a person may have. And hence, choosing a religion and thereafter trying it to be rightest form of spirituality, would harm more than any good to society. This is my say on religion.
Vipin Sir , religion is a set of doctrine set by few , These people were like scientist in old days .They could see thing better than others ,there methods are exactly similar to how science work .Only difference science apply this method (reduction) on non living things they applied it on living being humans. They gave some thing which may or may not be fully correct but was better than things available then . Most of them claimed the presence of a huge force managing all . This is correct ,there is a very very complex algorithm which manages every second of all of us's life right from stone age , now and will be in future . This I call as absolute reality . The interesting part is science is also created out of this algorithm . If we change the algorithm of absolute reality the method of science changes , this way there can be infinite different sciences .
Scientist have also been feeling that there is a scientific constant which is what I define as absolute reality . You see science and religion is no different . Do not take religion as what these religious people feel . Religion is so complex science that to work on it scientifically you cannot use your fussy logic method of working of brain . In fact human being is not designed to see this absolute reality . This is my scientific analysis in a scientific way .Which can be proven to scientific community in scientific way .
Dear Dinesh. While I mostly agree with you in terms of real spirituality with Science, I may not agree with you on part of religion. This is mainly because of set of doctrine persuaded mostly to have their own interest fulfilled. Let us see how the Christianity, Islam and many a sanatan dharmas in Hindusim were distorted only to suit the few chosen one.
Do not forget, we have the flexibility and real level of acceptance towards change of scientific principles as they are discovered over the period of time. Same is completely
missing in terms of religion. Can you make changes in following the rules of religion of either society you believe in.
Therefore according to me let us keep the religion and science separate so that while science can fulfill the everlasting quest of mankind, religion would often make it contradictory.
Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss on the same stage? There is a God! j/k
Well done to all concerned in the making of this film.
Just signed up - going to see The Unbelievers at THE Ohio State University April 7th! YEE-HAA!!!!!
The Unbelievers was good, but the Dynamic Duo were BETTER! Two truly good and decent gentlemen and overall, really a GREAT experience!

Now THAT was deep.
Totally in awe of all that I have learnt in my interaction with you.
Rational thinking - rigorous philosophical insights.
And now stupendous wit!
You have it all.
It will debut in Los Angeles and New York on Nov 29th. Just saw a pre-screening at CalTech with Dr. Krauss and Michael Shermer. The audience gave it a round of applause. I very much enjoyed it.
I think is very sad that people are still believing in god/gods in this era -.- it's like children putting hands in ears and repeating " I don't hear you dadadaaa" when trying to explain religions aren't real and it doesn't make ANY sense (I think they are much like cults but the leaders are dead and from some reason people kept following their laws and teachings) and it's funny how believers usually don't answer logical questions like "where is the proofs" or "if god is so loving why does he allow innocent children die?" they'll just say "that's pointless question" or "god has a plan" or "we don't need a proof because it's called BELIEVING" they are like brainwashed, repeating things which have no sense :(. I don't mean that religions are evil (some might be) almost every religion has at least some good advises for life but it doesn't make heaven or hell true :)
I watched the movie. There is nothing new or interesting. It's just collection of speeches that Richard and Lawrence gave in different places which by the way I watched all of it.
I've been dying to see this. Hurry up already!
can't wait to see it
Right.... basically if you're watching this trailer because maybe you're thinking about watching this film please don't waste your time. Essentially this film is about a couple of old guys who have studied science giving their opinion on religion. They fail to actually make any significant point in this film other than the fact they believe in evolution and their opinion is more accurate than anybody else's because they are "scientists". i watched this film with an open mind but now i kinda feel sorry for their dull lives.
You think studying life and the universe is dull?? WOW.
Callum Palmer Open mind... LOL
+Callum Palmer
Argument from ignorance fallacy... Good job! Have you found a way to demonstrate that your god exists?
An argument from authority can be valid, if the individual has the credentials to demonstrate their authority on a subject. For instance, Richard Dawkins was the University of Oxford's Professor for Public Understanding of Science for 13 years. That alone gives credence to his authority on the subject.
So, if you are not ready to demonstrate that your god exists and created life via intelligent design, we will continue to heed the scientific juggernauts' advice on scientific comprehension with little apprehension. Please, present your claim, so it might be weighed and measured.
Right so there is a thing called "comments" that gives you the authority to write your opinion on CZcams videos. I fail to see why I need to be a professor to do so. I have a very open mind. I found God because of that. Yet you I'm not running around pushing my beliefs on people am I?
Callum Palmer Right so there is a thing called "reply" that gives you the authority to write your opinion on other people's CZcams comments. If they're wrong or ignorant or stupid you can tell them.
If this is not atheist (anti-theist) propaganda , then I don't know what is.
MyGun4hire What a hypocrisy! If it's stating your views, then it's education, if it's stating someones religious views or just the views that you don't recognize then it's brainwash. Bravo for the new ideology!!!!! It's either your opinion (which is always based on facts) or the wrong opinion (which is never based on any personal experience or facts)???? Sorry, but this is just @£$€{
.
Please, watch the entirety of the film before spouting utter shit. When you are done, come back and try to reason with any rational thinking human being.
You can't dictate your current view on the film when all you've seen is a fraction of several fractions of a film.
Tom Graafmans Hoi tom c:
So what was God's not Dead? Oh yeah, baseless, inaccurate propaganda and bullshit. This actually looks damn good.
LUGGY GAMES So, and If your right then what does it prove? That "God's not Dead" was propaganda and "Unbelievers" is too? I respect any movement billion times more if they say that they ARE doing propaganda (Christians call it a missionary), you say that you are not doing it and then you're doing it . Yours is hidden but it's there. What's the difference between public brainwash and hidden brainwash? The difference is that public "brainwash" is not brainwash at all. Hidden one certainly is. If you're doing propaganda then admit it- Christians usually do admit that they do it for "insipiring" and for "spreading their faith". Atheists (sorry, actually anti-theists who call themselves atheists) don't admit it , but they still do. so you pretty much agreed that your-way-of-seeing-atheism is religion.
Really can't wait to watch this.
Does not matter what you are - theist or atheist... or neither... or either, whatever you are!
WHAT MATTERS IS TO THINK, BE CURIOUS AND SEEK REASON! This is what this movies is all about.
Oh, come on! Do we really need a documentary about a sexual molester aka Lawrence Krauss, acting as a saintly figure?
I don't blame him for that, didn't really know (molester), he has bad skin.
@@trustinjesus1119 I don't get it. Explain?
This comment is pretty much unrelated to religion or atheism, but...
How can ANYONE take these clowns seriously? You made a movie about being an atheist, way to go. This movie looks like it would just be a horrible attempt at a cheap PG-13 comedy movie with the cutting edge factor of being anti-religious. I honestly can't take this seriously as a real movie, it just looks like...some romantic comedy starring their lack of belief. What are they going to do? Is Krauss gonna go on a date with a girl in the movie and woo her with romantic lines such as "When I look into your eyes, I see such beauty, and I know nobody created you." or "You'll never know what it's like to look up at the stars and have the marvelous realization that nobody's up there." I'm not really trying to be insulting to any group of people, but this just looks like it lacks anything funny or worthwhile at all, save for the laughter that it brings to me when they try to be all serious. I mean, look at this trash. It's got the movie trailer music and everything. What an embarrassment to atheists and creationists alike. This move tries so hard it embarrasses everyone, no matter what their belief system is. AGAIN, before you get all worked up over this comment, just remember that this has nothing to do with insulting your beliefs or MY beliefs. It's just taking a major piss at this movie and its sad quality.
I must watch this!!!
These guys are amazing!
Dawkins - a straw man argument in flesh and bones
if?
Azureus9999
in
Matthysable what do you mean he is a strawman argument? religious people believe in god without evidence, that's not a strawman.
Azureus9999
Dawkins’ (and, apparently your) straw man argument goes like this:
1. only reason (i.e. premise to conclusion thinking) supplies knowledge, everything else is illusion or mere subjective sensation. How is this claim that “only reason supplies knowledge” justified? He cannot use reason to support it since it would be circular reasoning, somewhat like saying “the Bible is true because it says so in the Bible”. So, it’s simply plucked out of nowhere.
2. Having set up an arbitrary notion of ‘knowledge’ he then he goes on the argue (the straw man argument) that the existence of God must be proved by reason.
3. He then, obviously, cannot find such a proof having arrogantly declared beforehand what God may, or may be and so concludes,
4. There is no god.
My question is this: who, apart from Dawkins and the new atheists, said “God is knowledge” in the first place? To quote Evagrius Pontus, “God cannot be grasped by the mind. If he could be grasped, he would not be God”. And, I may add, not only would he not be God, he would be man, “If we could demonstrate the existence of God, everything would eventually be subjected to the sovereignty of man.” Nicolàs Gòmez Davilà, and man would become god - good luck!
Matthysable 1. The claim is that using logic, evidence and doing experiments [modern science] is the best way known to us for finding things out about the world around us. That's not circular. *Also, What else is there? Flipping a coin?* name one other way.
2. No, it doesn't even have to be proven in any way. We haven't even got to the point where there is a single bit of evidence and you're talking about proving it. Not to mention the evidence against a god that cares about the well-being of humans.
3. Well obviously you have to define the properties of a god before setting out to prove/disprove said deity.
4. So you are admitting that there is no evidence for god and or we can't comprehend it, therefore how could we believe this thing even exists? If there is an all powerful god who is actively hiding from us, then by definition we have no reason to believe in such a thing even if it were real.
Everyone should watch the debate between Lawrence Krauss and Hamza Tzortzis
...... our numbers grow.
Can't wait for this excellent film. I hope I can get my hands on it anywhere in the Netherlands.
I can't wait to see this film!!!!!!!! Professor Dawkins, I love you xxx
We will always split people to us and them; regardless of religion or the lack of it.
I Can't Wait !
Richard and Lawrence are not alone, atheism is growing every day. This world needs more reasonable people so that we can progress and go deeper in our galaxy. I'm currently completing my master's degree in physics and I should begin my PhD studies by the end of this year. I've devoted my life to science and you should fear me, because I will be a part of the new atheists who will rise and destroy religion. I didn't waste my youth, I was always the greatest and brightest student.
thanks
Thanks for that informative and enlightening contribution.
We certainly agree on that.
I agree. No one's belief should be exempt from critique. And that includes Dawkins' and Krauss'.
That is so true. Nobody could say it the way he could.
This is exactly the attitude this movie seems to promote.
Can't wait!
Please, make it available here in Brazil. I can't wait to watch it. :)
Cannot wait!
Can't wait for this to hit Netflix!
They demonstrate the presence of God in acknowledging their need to disprove him.
"their need to disprove him".... no, its more like they have the need to tell people like you that you're simply deluded, that you are dead fucking wrong. You can't disprove Zeus, Odin or Vishnu, can you?
Ha, you admit you can't disprove the existence of God. So my side wins. Anyhow, what harm comes from Zeus or Odin? Socialism has killed millions and it is real but they didn't make a film about that. Pathetic.
2late2stop atleast socialism exists...
As a theory, a theory that has killed millions.
2late2stop its not a theory... theories require some significant evidence to back them up... which there is none of god.
I'm starting to unbelieve this movie will ever come out
Well put!!
here! in the interwebz!! :D
I laughed so deeply at the end that i blew out my candle.
I cant wait to watch this. WHEN DO I GET TO SEE THIS!?!?!?
FINALLY! What took them so long to figure out to do this kind of movie?!?
i hope it does
ive been waiting for so long now
I’ll bet this is really good!
They're going to screen it at UNLV here in Vegas. I think I'll go.
"Preaching to the choir", as it were, is actually very important to bolster the confidence of those who are persecuted for their beliefs, or lack thereof, and to give those who are undecided food for thought. It's true though, that no "true believer" will want to watch this, but if they were open-minded and honest we wouldn't need religion any more.
I love Ricky, can't wait to see what he had to say, but I'm most excited about hearing Adam Savage's views, never heard him talk about religion.
I didn`t expect AT ALL to hear FIt For Rivals in the background!
That`s one of my favourite bands! Now I`m 200% going to watch this movie :)
totally agree
Been waiting for this for months and months.. where the hell is it?
i think this is a trailer of some sort and the movie is coming this year
can't wait to see it :D
I want to see it so much.
Hi there from England.
Well said.
I'm starting to unbelieve that this movie's ever coming out!
So, I finally had a chance to see this today! I was lucky to catch it on Danish television!
First off, the praise: I loved it. But really, with such two great figureheads spearheading a documentary, how can you not? The witty comments and hilarious facepalming was enough to last you a lifetime (well, maybe not quite, but certainly a few years ;)).
The negative though: It lacked, I don't quite know how to say it, "direction". The message was clear from the beginning, and by the end, not much had changed. Nothing new had been done. To some degree, it also lacked "substance". While it showed a VERY great deal of clips from debates, TV shows, live events and so forth, rarely did it stay long enough at them, for anything else than the "punchlines" to be said. Don't get me wrong, I loved the punchlines, but I wish there had been something more.
While I'll certainly recommend it to some friends, because I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it the same way I do, particularly the ending of it, I doubt anyone who's not specifically interested in this subject, will find it worth their time.
Personally, I was much more fascinated by the documentaries done on British TV with just Mr. Dawkins, even the ones where it's just one long debate/interview.
Again, solid documentary, but I felt it could have been a lot more.
Bought tickets for the Columbus viewing, cant wait!
Awesome Tony, I go to Columbus State, so its a close drive for me.
Release is scheduled for December 13, according to IMDb.
I was looking for a fanfic tiktok compilation but this is cool too
I agree with you a 100%! I also dream about a better world where all the nations of the world stand united, where scientific and technological progress will enable mankind to explore our world and what's beyond it, where there is no hatred, bigotry and religious nonsense! I study biology and I will begin my PhD soon :) And I know that my dream will come true one day and I will be in the frontlines in making it happen!
Want To Watch!
I will watch this, I do not care if I have to travel to another more civilized state to do it but I will!
Yeah i've been reading about the resurgence of the orthodox church there...crazy stuff!!
I want to see this movie
Iam gonna watch it...:-)
Does anyone know whats up with this movie, has it come out yet or what I cant find anything on the net to watch it/Torrent Sites Ect.
i would give my life for Dawkins to become young again and rise more councsesness
I will definitely watch this movie! :D
Most people research a single religion their hole lives, because it's a really complex and astoundingly all-encompassing social construct that permeates every facet of life, yet you managed to research all religions and reach a solid conclusion based on dubious records in just 2 years. Wow. Just, wow. You must be some scholar. I'd love to hear why any of the other major religions didn't meet your standards of scrutiny, especially ones way older than Christianity, like Hinduism for example.
The best movie ever and the two geniuses :)
That's the beauty of it. That is not an inconsistency. The fact that you don't think people can be good without a god does not mean everybody else cannot. Asking why we need to be moral is like asking why we need to be healthy? If we are going to live in a co-operative society, it is beneficial for everybody to live in an amicable manner. By the way, this way of doing right things is way more moral, we don't fear any god or expect reward for good actions.
Come out on netflix already. We all want to see these atheistic testimonies asap!
'you would be able to repeat a test to prove it's existence using whatever method there is possible for proving god is there'
Now there is a sentence fruaght with ideological difficulties.
Hehe..that last part made me giggle.
This should be interesting to watch
love it greatest movie
I look forward to seeing this. I hadn't heard anything about it until I saw this trailer. Presently reading "The God Delusion". It will be interesting to see what Dawkins has targeted next.
