What is the difference between wax and clearcoat. I just got into transfers. All my furniture is waxed with clear wax. Can I put the transfer over them?

Yes, you can apply transfers over most paints, just make sure the paint is very dry first (48 hours is safest.) You can also get a shiny look by using a gloss sheened clear coat. Paint, let dry, apply transfer, apply gloss clear coat. Good luck!
Like Brooke below I want to know........Did you seal the paint on the rest of the dresser? When, if you did? I have been told chalk paint must be sealed.

Hi Janice, yes I sealed the whole piece in Clear Coat (right after I shot the video). Two coats.
Can you use the Dixie Belle clear coat over oil paint?
