    So glad you showed a transfer that doesn't release as easily. I have run into this several times, especially in the brand of transfer you were using. The other thing I think was helpful that you addressed was halo, again some brands it shows more, especially over darker color paints. Often times content creators edit through the challenges when they could be very instructive. BTW, that's a lovely calming finish (both in paint color and decor transfer) without being the typical neutrals the market is so saturated with still. Great job on all fronts!

    So so pretty,I have found that if I add a gorgeous transfer my painted furniture sells quickly 👍(even though I really haven’t been doing this for all that long)

    Beautiful work. Love the color. Ive used it myself. I think I would have done all the drawers in the transfer, but that's my taste.

      Thanks Colleen! Yep, I can see it on all drawers too :) I think this transfer would also look amazing over a light blue 😊

    Love the transfer. I used your Christmas transfers on a few small projects so I'm still learning and not quite ready to do something larger but definitely going to try it in the future

    Do you think this would work on chalk painted furniture? Also how did you get your paint so smooth! When I use chalk paint I get streaks sometimes.

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  Před rokem +2

      Absolutely it would! Just be sure to apply before you apply any wax. This paint I used was Fusion Mineral Paint, which is different than chalk paint-I’ve always found it to be much smoother :) When I use chalk paint though I would typically water it down some to help with the brush strokes, or use a mister bottle

    Stunning! Such s soft gentle look! I have reservations about the wax holding up. Will a water based paint such as Sherwin Williams satin interior door and window paint work? And, after applying the transfer will Min-Wax water based polyurethane over the transfer work? TY.

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  Před rokem

      Yes! You can use a water based topcoat if you like

    That is beautiful! I am just starting to paint furniture and love the idea of transfers. What is the benefit of using the beeswax and why use it verses another finish? Thank you for your help!

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  Před 2 lety +1

      Great question! I like the Beeswax Finish specifically for darker Fusion colors. Because it has a touch of hemp oil in it, it gives the darker colors a subtle sheen that helps diss guide fingerprints and other dust marks, etc. On lighter colors you can use a regular clear wax for sure :)

    That is a beautiful result. How many pints of paint did you use for a dresser that size, please.

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  Před 2 lety

      Not even quite half of the pint jar! This color (an many of the Fusion ones) have amazing coverage :)

    Do you put down a polyurethane down before you do the transfer or is it just straight paint

    What do you use to seal the transfer? I applied a metallic PRIMA TRANSFER on the top of a side table… how do I seal it? The paint I used is Fusion…

    I have a bureau that looks about the same size as the one in your video and I want to ask how much paint will I need to paint my bureau?

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  Před rokem

      Depends on the kind of paint and color you choose, but i used a tad less than 1 pint of Fusion in this color, for this chest :)

    Is it possible transfers get old? I ordered some from redesign off of Etsy and I feel like they don’t have that tacky feeling so they are not sticking. Then when I hold it in place and use my wooden tool, nothing comes out,

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  Před měsícem

      Yes! They unfortunately have sat too long and the adhesive has dried. I would contact the Etsy seller and ask for a refund

    What's the difference between transfers and decoupage?

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  Před měsícem +1

      Transfers have adhesive attached, so you don't need an extra product to make them stick :)
