It's sad that people are so quick to put down the N/A model MR2. I love my 5S-FE equipped MR2. Mine has no power options (steering, locks, windows, etc) Mine doesn't even have ABS. So it's relatively light. It's not a fast car by any means, but I have no problem stepping toe to toe with the turbo guys and other cars with more power. The low end torque makes the 5S-FE MR2 relatively quick. I live in the mountains so power is not some I really care about. :)
+TMR 89 You are right, I like mine a lot too, I'm not saying I would not like a turbo or v6 BUT I like this car soo much. I have so much fun with it. A lot of time I like to take the mr2 instead of my Supra Turbo!
But I thought MR2s came with ABS power steering and power windows, wait are those only for the Turbo Model?
v6 swap it alraedy
@@vipbeef2174
Depending on the market, you could have all options across the four engine range. The EDM cars even got the enhanced brakes with the 3S-FE engines.
Hello from another MR2 owner. I have plans for a daily 500-600hp mr2 and on e85 I'm hoping to push 800+. They are great cars and don't get nearly the attention they deserve.
Hows it going?
Great video. You summed up my MR2 experience perfectly. I bought my GT-S when I was 26 and without a doubt was the best car I ever owned. I missed it so much, in fact, I had to go out and re-buy it. The whistle of the turbo boosting behind your ear….bloody magic. Mines a 92 and for a 23 year old car the styling still looks great.
Midship Runabout 2 seater.
He is so informed huh?
I just think he didn't bother to look it up 😂
Great video, deserves more views! I've got a red mr2 here the UK, done 123,000 miles now love it to bits.
I'm getting my MR2 Turbo in yellow on Tuesday/Wednesday, can't wait for it. Quite cheap insurance considering I'm 21 and been driving for about a year.
Nicely done video bud. Can't wait to get another one.
Really hard for me to understand why this video only has 16k views, great work, enjoyed it alot :)
Amazing camera angles!, Persfect song choices!, and spot on word choices on the SW20 and its connection to the driver just made me fall in love even more with this legend! Can't wait till I get my license, cause the second I do, I'm gonna get an SW20 Turbo! Amazing video!👌
Great video! I had a 91 MR2 Turbo back in 2000 and got to experience the lift off oversteer. Good tires are a must! I now have a 2001 MR2 spyder and I'll say the handling on this model is superior but I'm looking to get back in a mkii for the love of the car. The mkii just fits you like a glove, I have owned 20+ cars and none compare!
That was the best review I have ever seen. And I have watched A LOT of Drive and MotorTrend. Incredible writing
Thanks Kevin! Really means a lot.
Stumbled upon this channel, but I'm glad I did. Great writing, good quality video. You've gained another subscriber my friend.
We appreciate it!
I agree with the snap oversteer, used to own a 91 with no lsd, that puppy was brutal on the learning curve with 450 hp and 350 whp it was one of the best, most cheapest yet reliable, stylish car ive ever owned. Great video man
Superb review man, keep at it!
Great video! Well spoken and great production.
I kind of stumbled into the MR2 community on a whim, coming from owning many 240sx's. Though I still love my Nissans like no other, the the that struck me most was the community around MR2s. These people are passionate about their cars, and are far more accepting of peoples different personal styles. I've now owned an SW21 and AW11, and dream quite often of owning one very similar to this car shown.
Thanks man! We're big Nissan fans over here as well
ConeDodger240 I bought my SW20 last summer, and LOVE it. I was definitely looking at 240SX's as well when I did get my car.
Wow dude this was actually a really great video for a small channel. Subbed!
Thanks man! appreciate it
Wow, what a well-made review. This needs more views.
Thanks man!! Share it :D
5:41 when he hits the vape. Almost thought they were pulling up in an STIKidding aside, love the videos
Great cinematography coupled with a laid-back review of one of the best looking cars of all time and arguably Toyota's most interesting experiment of all time. The SW20 Toyota MR2.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I always wanted one of these when I still lived in the Netherlands. Now... I still like them, but with a family I doubt I'll ever end in one. My 05 mustang GT has a rear seat... it's unusable for adults really... but a kid will fit in it!
Nice clip, nice camera angles, nice shots... Makes me wish I had an extra person to film, a DSLR for shots and one of those drones!
My first car to actually drive a lot in was my mom's 3rd gen MR2. With this being my first car, every other car just seems boring. Now I want to buy my own car (im sick of having to ask my parent's permission all the time) and I want it to be a 2nd gen MR2. There aren't many videos of it on youtube, but yours is definitely a very nice one! And you have a very nice looking model as well.
Over the top video man! I can totally relate to everything you said, I have a 1996 GT I also imported from Japan to Vancouver. It's truly an exceptional car in so many ways... and you did a great job showing that, kudos
That's fantastic!! The GT came with leather seats, right?
Yep, interior was graded 4/5. Black leather with navy blue alcantera, and bucketed, super comfy
Sensational review on an exceptionally beautiful and well-crafted car! As much as I love the Supra, the MR2 holds a special place in my life. I will definitely find a 3S-GTE MR2 once I finish university and have fun with it! Especially on mountain roads, I might die but at least I died happy :)
jude m I suggest you buy that MR2 and find those twistie mountain roads and LIVE like never before.
you dont need do drive like a moron, and that snap oversteer is no worries. just pay attention when you flat out the first times on slippery roads/tight corners.
I love theese videos high quality perfect mr2 roads. Very inspiring. i just HAVE to finish my V6(3vz) conversion now.
I've already bought an MR2 :)
NA however is 3sge which is surprisingly enough for me. Driving it on the mountain was insane and one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced! I tend to use left foot braking (which I learned from driving a FWD, which is the Celica) and it greatly reduced the chances of an oversteer since I had full control of the weight transfer.
Ooh good luck with the V6 conversion! I was also highly interested in swapping in a 1mzfe since we have tons of parts for these in Australia I believe, but I'm a little hesitant on whether I should keep the 3sge or not.
+jude m MX5?
Sorry, had to because, well, i love my adub and i got it wrong too. Midship Runabout 2 seater. Gotta love dat nomenclature. Lol
Amazing video. I have owned a 1991 MR2 GT for over 3 years now and it sits at 26,700 original kms. It's definitely the cleanest mr2 you can find, forever keeper, and serious head turner. I've found this review just outstanding and I'm glad you took time to make such a great review. Follow up with your instagram if you have one so I can follow my fellow mr2 owners. Cheers! ;subbed.
I love your show bro..keep it coming
Djdhehshdhdj
You
Beautiful car! I really want one of these!
I have a slightly modified black 91 turbo (american model)and its an experience like no other! I can hold my own against much stronger and expensive cars, the handling is perfect, the sound of the turbo is great, and people are atracted to the car like they never seen one before! I could easily sell it for 15 000 as it is now,but every ride is so worthy and satisfying, that i'll never get rid of it!
I owned a rev3 turbo and now a rev5 red-top Beams NA, I can tell the turbo is more a challenge to tame. but when comes to the convergence between the driver and the machine, I vote for the 200ps 3S-GE Beams. I describe it as a more civilized Lotus Elise.
Oh yea, I strongly recommend the installation of the rear strut bar, the differences is extremely vivid. A budget option is to get JDM rev4-5 X-shaped bar combine with Cusco strut bar, it will work just as good as the TRD alternative at a fraction of its price.
AYEEE Marine Drive Thursday meets!!
I had two of these man. I'm looking for another one.
I got my MR2! But it's the NA version however, I live in Australia. The NA versions of the MR2 here have the 3S-GE engine and they are enough power for me at the moment. Still possesses excellent low-end torque.
jude m 100kg lighter at the rear, better balancd near 50/50 Front rear weight distribution. Better handling. Dont' under rate them just because of lack of power.
Shadow1986 The only true way for me to drive and I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys will agree to this, are the mountain roads. If I did have the turbo MR2, I will have the unwanted lag and is slightly heavier and that can be disadvantageous on twisty roads.
I would never underrate the NA MR2 as they are just as fun on the mountains as the turbo really and the gear ratios really are near perfect for the corners. However, I had to sell my MR2 recently and I miss it very much already.
jude m Yes. Us NA guys can shame the turbo boys on downhill rouge runs. lighter, and the hill gives us enough power and response.
Shadow1986 I love my NA. I can exploit more of the power, more of the time. Everyone tells me that I *need* to get the turbo, but I really don't; people always throwing around their BHP and 0-60 numbers just doesn't interest me as much as how a car feels behind the wheel...
dariunas Yes exactly! I'd much rather tune the suspension on my car than adding more horsepower, I love how an MX5 was tailgating me throughout one time during a mountain run and overtook me when he had the chance. I just felt like having a nice cruise but I had the urge to catch up.
Waited till he was out of my sight and then powered on, caught up within half a minute and he was still trying to push it lol! Mid-engined cars are unparalleled when it comes to cornering. Pure excitement..
I miss my 93 MR2. Damn I want to get another one.
M: Mid-engine
R: Runabout (frugal)
2: Two-seater
Btw, the "handling issues" which were non-existent for racers, we're fixed (for novices) with a redesign of the rear suspension in 1995.
Midship
Norville Rogers Actually, mid-ship is a modern term mostly used for front engined cars that carry the engine behind the front axle. Back in the early eighties the only designation for cars like the MR2 was Mid-engine, meaning behind the driver. I was around when it was introduced and remember it well as my brother bought a new one in 1986 and we did a lot of research prior to the purchase.
It was in 1993, not 1995, that Toyota revised the suspension.
Mr Ol Skül Didn't know that, thanks. I've only ever heard the word "runabout" together with mid-ship in terms of MR2s.
fastrax203 You are correct, I meant to say from '93 through '95 (in the U.S.). BTW, the '95 models offered a one-piece rear wing which in my opinion made the car look more modern than the previous three-piece of early MkII models. I think the '95 models were the best looking models of all MR2 ' S, but, sadly, also the heaviest.
Drove in this one last sunday.... couldnt get enough of dat sound tho *_*
I have a '91 NA, JDM-spec. I have only ever spun out once, And that is because I drove arrogantly around a corner which sweeps out then cuts in and the end and was a bit aggressive with throttle and steering wheel. You have to remember engine is in the back hence lighter steering and also the impact of weight transfer in braking. I spun out into the other lane and if there was another car going over our legal speed limit on some roads of 50kmph, I may've been toast. Luckily no one was hurt. I learnt how to drive in my old 04 Suzuki Swift, so in FWD you can get away but MR requires a lot of skill especially if you are going to track. Don't be put off by all the negative hype - drive safe - and especially safer in the rain - and you'll be aiight.
I love my mr2 turbo!
Heheh. That's my aw and my friends sw at 6:03 :D
This guys description of the car from the get go it so accurate, plenty of grip and control until it dosnt then its all gone. I own an NA and (since is slow) especially in the rain it is hairy and requires a lot of concentration even at low speed on the stock wheels. Car is loads of fun and strikingly beautiful for its age
+Braydon Lill Is there any way to mitigate that issue? I'm thinkng of purchasing an MR2 and this is something I've heard from UK owners that it can just slide off the road.
+Peter Derouen If you have the money / want to modify the best way is to get some wider wheels (no companies make good compounds for the stock wheels) and tyres all round on a good (potentially all weather) compound and a set of coilovers (the rev1 1998-1992 sw20 have a poor suspension set up - later models are better). If you arnt going to modify then the best thing to do is get some new tyres, check your manual for pressures and when driving in the rain just take about 15% off the speed you think you can go in a corner in a 'regular' car - roundabouts can get very hairy if you push it. Not to say its impossible to learn to drift or drive this car quickly in the rain if that's your thing.
In general just take your time with it, its not a mass consumer car, it has a real personality. Most cars pre 1995 I believe wont be equipped with airbags and i believe rev1 models did not have traction control as an option although all the cars have ABS. Ask the seller what saftey options the car has if its a concern. I have driven a rev1 since i was a learner driver, my first drive in the car ended in a 180 after hitting some oil on a wet roundabout so i learned pretty quick that it demands respect. The car only has coilovers at this point and is a daily.
Dont let this put you off the car, they are very rewarding on a dry road and i definitely recommend the turbo as i find myself wanting more power at this point. Hope that addressed some of your concerns? haha - and take it with a grain of salt, do some googleing of your own as im just going off what i can remember right now.
+Jamie Simms - regarding your question
Braydon Lill When I was about eight years old, I was driven around in an MR2 by a family friend. I'm definitely not deterred just a bit concerned about it, haha.
I intend to heavily customize it by dropping the engine and swapping it with *something* just not entirely certain on what yet. I want to get my MR2 first then play with that.
Thanks for the thorough response. Would you recommend wider tires AND a good set of coilovers? I intended to get an AW11, but after some research I really want an SW20 or SW21.
Thanks.
+Peter Derouen If your swapping an engine a lot of people are going with the 2gr-fe, if you look around on mr2oc(dot)com forums youll find loads of stuff. Im looking into it myself.
People can definitely get by without modifying too much, i personally like the stock wheels, but more grip and better handling are hard to pass up so coilovers and wheels could only make the car better. Its just expensive. Also if your looking for more power youll probably need larger wheels for a big brake kit. They sell a lot of this stuff on twosrus(dot)com
Check out /watch?v=rz-dN4kUwSI if you want to see a pretty well sorted car with a 2gr
Yeah, I had this wild pipe dream of throwing a Volvo B8444S, but realized that's just *too* crazy. I'm planning a lengthy project with a 2GR TT instead.
Thanks for the links Braydon! I can't wait to get my MR2! I'll make sure to check the video out.
more MR2 vids pls!!! :)
that fox at 5:37 ! plz do a fox episode they are so much fun
Great video! Looking forward to buy one(Turbo)!
I'm excited for you. You'll have so much fun.
Just wonder how you do your car wash? Will water get into the engine because of the engine lid? Or we can still call it hood in this case? lol THX!
22358 Toyota designed the car so it could function like normal cars do. Otherwise thousands of MR2 owners would have mis-firing engines haha. As you can see in the overhead shot there's a plastic cover on the underside of the engine lid that guides the water down a specific path to the ground where there isn't anything that can get damaged.
That's great!
Shame you wouldn't even consider driving an n/a, to say half the video was about the driving community I felt pretty left out for a minute there! 90% of the driving experience is for sure the same, ended up going for an n/a for the lower price, more money to spend on a v6, but a stock n/a is still pretty damn enjoyable to drive
Lee Hoggard try a turbo and u will agree of what he said
Great great job great review... Please find a rx7 and make a wonderful review like this
Great video ! I enjoyed it. Buying a new car next month and can't decide between an rx8 or mr2 Rev 3
Hands down buy an MR2. you won't regret it
Yeah decided on an mr2, hopefully will be mine in 2 weeks :)
+Scott Harding you'll love it, enjoy
Bro, thats going to be awesome. have fun with it!
+Scott Harding how's the mr2 2 months later? I'm running a 4th gen 3sgte now and it's beautiful.
Just hold the throttle if it starts to rotate on you, gently roll on throttle through corner, gently let off once you're out of the corner. Don't let off. Ever. You drive a midship like a motorcycle in the corners. Motorcycle gets loosey in corner, #1 no no is letting off. Thats how you highside. Don't that and you're just fine. :)
Fantastic narrative of the MR2 community and obsession with the car. I have a FRS and a Aw11SC as well. The FRS is 'easy' to drive hard and beyond its limit. The 2's are something entirely different and wonderful as you never quite get 'good enough' and there is always more as you learn.
hey roads untraveled could you do a review of Ulrich's 300zx in this shooting style
it was my ride..yeah!
That's a lovely example, what are the wheels?
It’s definitely competitive
When your in the race wars
Hey man nice review, what is the steering wheel you are using, what's the diameter of it compared to a stock wheel?
It's a Victoria G-02 wheel. Not too sure about the diameter but it's slightly smaller than stock.
Sweet man i'm sure stock is 380mm i'm a big guy at 6'3 and my right knee taps the wheel, a shorter diameter would be a lot better for me. I've got an NA but for me in a year or two i'll be getting a 1MZ FE V6 conversion :D Turbos are amazing but to me MR2 is about the experience and sound and the grunt of a 3litre v6 just pulls me in more than a Turbo. Sweet video man, showing everyone how enthusiastic the MR2 community is.
I wish Moncton New Brunswick would be like that at night
this is a awesome review, I love my 91 turbo mr2. BUT what is the name of the song at the end of the video?!

Are we not goint to talk about the bird in the snapshot? XD
I'm going to need to ask, will the little vents on top of the engine bay get water in with heavy rain? I live in Panama and it rains 9 months of the year. I heard aw11 is really easy to rust in the rain due to this.
+zealotscout If the car is stock and untouched it will have a plastic cover on the underside of the engine lid. Toyota wouldn't be able to sell a car if it didn't start because of a little rain. I live in Vancouver where it also rains 9 months out of the year.
If I find one in good condition, I'm going to buy one as my firsr car. Hyped and sad at the same time, I want one so badly!
Why does it have a trd badge? Isn't that only one the trd2000gt body kit ones? Or any modifications done from the dealership was a trd trim?
Luke Vukovic: He just added the emblem on himself
How old are you? And who are you insured with? I'm from Toronto and looking to import one from Japan too!! :)
you should keep that intro title and this song
3:32 -- 3:45. My favorite part of the video.
How did you do that opening shot! Incredible drone work if that's what it was.
TassieLorenzo Yepp! Sure was a drone
mk2's were/are great, dig those MK1'S too. those 3 gens though... argh
What song was in the intro?
I love this song what is it?
lol I have the N/A version it has the fun characteristics of the MR2 minus the MPG of my Turbo volvo XD
What you get for mpg
nice video!
what's the name of the last song btw

Mr2 4 life
Outstanding Review. I am subbed. Unfortunately many MR2s come with cloth seats and door panels. Not many people have seen an all black leather mint Mr2 turbo. It makes the car look even more exotic and expensive. Some people are under the impression that this is a dangerous crappy car from the 90's because they see Riced out/ sad versions most of the time with hideous body kits and crappy paint jobs. Also the ugly blue leather interior in some doesn't help much. As soon as you see a mint Mr2 turbo people fall in love. I love the SW20 and is a head turner if you keep up with them. I doubt I will ever get rid of mine.
Thanks! I have to disagree with you on the cloth. I love cloth seats and would way rather have them over the leather. Sure, leather looks 10x better but I'm sitting in the seat 99% of the time and not looking at it. Doesn't get hot or sweaty in the summer which is nice. The SW20 is no doubt a head turner if it's modded tastefully. I'm going to be putting in leather door inserts though for sure.
Roads Untraveled Maybe I had to have had cloth from the beginning to appreciate it more. I see your valid points. It just makes me cringe to sit in a cloth mr2 that smells like old ass and has stains from who knows what. Im sure nice clean mint cloth ones would be nice like the ones in the video. Especially for curves as it will keep you gripped better to the seat than leather. I just love the smell, feeling, and looks of leather. I think its a problem.
Roads Untraveled I have cloth seats myself, but I rather have leather seats. However being the cars are 20 years or older now, even the mint leather seats will start to decay if they aren't already. In the long run, the cloths are better. Surprisingly the seats I have are still in good condition, and not ripped. Even the N/A seats I had weren't ripped.
Hey, nice video ! I am looking for a MR2 to buy but I only find atmospheric engines in France, as the turbo version wasn't sell here. I heard you wouldn't buy a non-turbo MR2, but I didn't understand why ! Can you explain yourself ?
Thanks a lot !
+Erwan Hm The non-turbo MR2s are fine. They're perfect for cornering and overall driving in general. From what I understand, European models had the option of a 3S-FE or a 3S-GE. Make sure you find one with the 3S-GE since it's the strongest engine out of the two.
Greetings from the US.
+Erwan Hm I'm not 100% sure but I think the reason you would purchase a non-turbo is for an engine swap and solely for that.
Unless you like cornering more than straight line speed. Never had a problem catching turbo cars up in the mountain passes.
U can get a car with n/a, good corning and high rev in many cars.
But Mr2 turbo is just that unique, in the past years, how could you find a mid-engine car with turbo ? Mmmm.....i can only think of F40...
intro song please!!!!
great video quality and editing but it felt a bit reserved and you could have said a lot more about likes/dislikes, facts and specs etc
what song is this??

excuse me
Is this in which country?
Why the driver's seat on the right, and the car on the right side of the road?
Hugh Chang Canada.
Is the mr2 gt a good first car in the uk?
+Jamie Simms probably not for a first car, the insurance will eat you alive! if you can do it though you absolutely should, amazing fun (if you can find one that's mechanically sound)
+Jamie Simms I would go for something front wheel drive for a first car. Get something like a Celica and drive it for a couple of years, then go on to bigger and better things.
+Zomutt101 dead on
+MylesHSG probs end up doing that. cheers

Midship Runabout 2
I'm in a dilemma, gentlemen. I own a 2003 AP1 S2000 and have an opportunity to own a JDM spec 1992 Toyota MR2 GT-S for a trade. Should I trade my AP1 for the GT-S?
what is non turbo like?
+Mike Seeds never driven one. Don't see the need to lol
Roads Untraveled they are cheap though, its like a better version of the mx5 :P
Mike Seeds I drove numerous non turbos for years before I owned a turbo. Not nearly as fun as the turbo model, but still fun. You can always swap a 3sgte in as well. The 5sfe non turbo motor has always treated me well though.
I concur with everything here. Sometimes its nice having an underpowered chassis that you can hammer on and not worry about the car getting away from you. Thats why I'm considering getting an n/a SW20 which would be my first mid-engined vehicle. Well technically my S2k was but...ya'll know what i mean. After I'm comfortable with the characteristics of its unique handling than swapping in the 2gr similar to the "white stallion" vid.
+Mike Seeds surprisingly torquey, pulls nice even on the motorway. I drive a 1991 EUDM MR2, and love it. With stock suspension, wheels and everything it definitely feels like a 90's car tho. Not sure if I could beat the new age 2.0TD highway cruisers with it, but I'll try after some oil change and repairs :))
Loves Mr2 to death, but why the music with them so sad? I want it but don't wanna cry while driving it🙄
Probably because Toyota no longer makes it, yet it was an awesome car.
i don't understand why mr2 say 1992 GTS Gen 2 must be better than the GT model or top of the range for that year can easily do 0 to 160 km under 14 sec
+Glen Garden Pretty sure a GT-S is a GT just without the luxuries - no leather seats, no mechanical steering fog lights (instead they're just static), etc. There's a few differences, but I'm not 100%
Could someone please help me out here?!?!?! i just wanna know the size and make of the rims he changed to at the end of the video... Not the Stock rims at the beginning of the video for all the "Smart" youtube ppl .__.
ASA AR1's. 17 inch all around
Much thanks!! 👌👌
Turbo or non turbo, doesnt matter. Still ine of funnest, cheaper cars on the roads. Definitely dangerous. But thats what makes it more exciting. And a more impressive car to still have 25 years on.
Not many left in NZ with our horrible roads.
Im on my second g limited. Had one when i was 19. Ex partner hated it. So it was sold (unfair lady). Now almost 23 and in my second g limited. Non turbo.
Other car, 81 nissan fairlady 280zx
Ethan Sim hey mate are you a part of the NZ MR2 owners club? mr2.org.nz we have a good online forum. I'm 24 and this is my second car, first was an 04 Suzuki Swift. Much fun, and yes our roads are kaka. I am from Auckland and there are speedbumps on every second street.
dat vape
Why would you go to the expense and trouble to bring RH drive car to N America. Where it puts you on the wrong side of the road and lane all the time when there are plenty of LH drive models to choose from. Is it some JDM thing??... any way enjoy and good luck.
Why can't there be a front hood trunk. Lol
There is.
++++++++
I dont know what you are talking about. Low end torque? I have a stock unmolested 91 mr2 turbo and its a dog at the low end. As for showing a pic of a foxbody mustang gt, yeah i dont think so. I also have a foxbody mustang and stock vs stock the mr2 has no chance in the acceleration dept. I thought it was a pretty good review but im assuming this mr2 is not stock therefore, the review is not very helpful and thats what your review should be if you are making a video of a car review.
Hey! First off, thanks for watching :) Your stock 1991 MR2 Turbo has 200 lb/ft of torque while the one in this video is a JDM-spec 1994 which makes 224. Not a huge increase, but can make a world of difference. Second, if you go to our instagram profile "RoadsUntraveled" you'll see a short video of me racing this exact foxbody Cobra. It was an extremely close roll race but the MR2 pulled away. A Foxbody Cobra weighs 3,200 lbs and has 235hp. My 1994 MR2 GT-S (Which is 100% stock and original other than suspension and a steering wheel) weighs 2,700 lbs and has 240hp. Just by comparing those numbers we can see the MR2 is faster in a straight line. 5.3~ 0-60 vs. 5.9~ 0-60 for the mustang. As for what my review "should be", I think it can be whatever I want it to be. If all car reviews on youtube were of stock cars that would be extremely boring if you ask me. Once again, thanks for watching :) glad you enjoyed the video.
Roads Untraveled That said, also. The 1993+ MR2s have the CT20B turbo which spools quicker and produces more power earlier on then the CT26 that's in the Rev 2 3S-GTE of 1991-1992.
Too young to have valid review chops.
Drive my tweaked 88 930 and tell me about snap oversteer.
These cars are far more forgiving.
This was my first car review! In the 5 years since we've filmed this video I've driven over 300 cars of all makes and models, including a 964 Turbo, GT3 RS, and a 500whp 996 Turbo. Just as far as Porsche goes. I would love to drive your 930 ;)
your alignment is off
the4armedmonk Was off* this was filmed almost a year ago
Roads Untraveled just trying to help
the4armedmonk Yes! thank you. I was fully aware of it don't worry :p
How can you tell from watching the video?
ridiculous bargain rght now
Nice video but useless. How are you going to show off a car with pieces missing from the dashboard? Nothing was really said about the driving experience and cost of maintenance etc. how are you going to say it's not about rivals and show a foxbody mustang? I have both and stock vs stock the mustang will leave it in the dust. I love my mr2. Snap oversteer is exaggerated. The car is not reasonably reliable, it's absolutely reliable in stock form.
It sounds to me like you want to read consumer reports. I'm sure they have detailed data on cost of maintenance :)
- As for the dash, not sure whats missing?..
- Here are some facts:
Bone stock 1994 JDM MR2 GT-S (the one in this video is bone stock under the hood)
- 240hp
- 2,700 lbs.
- 0-60 in 5.4 seconds.
Bone stock Foxbody Mustang Cobra (the fastest foxbody ever built besides the Cobra R of which only 250 were built)
- 235hp
- 3,200 lbs.
- 0-60 in 5.9 seconds.
The cobra weighs more and has less power. Stock vs. stock the MR2 wins.
So boring
what song is this??
Which one? :p
the very first opening song
Roads Untraveled the badass intro song
Roads Untraveled the chick says, "There is no other way"
