Once KG knew he could no longer go 100%, he retired. That hard for an athlete with passion, to admit to themselves. Hes passionate talking about it 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
100% Facts spoken👍🏾👍🏾
He’s passionate about everything lol
What are you talking about, he played 21 seasons in the NBA, he retired age 40 lmao. KG be the first one to tell you he wasnt able to go 100% for years by then. Not a single pro athlete at age 40 is even close to as good as he was in his prime, and his prime is 100%. Bron is 38 years old and he aint getting or giving 100% for at least 5 years now and Bron is arguably the best player to be so good for such a long stretch of his career.
@maxmeier532 KG only won one championship played 21 years and declined in his prime. Bron is still playing and not slowing down at 38.
@@AnthonySmith-bq2ifpeds
I like Deion sitting back smiling while KG talking 😂
He’s probably zoned out thinking how did we lose after leading by 20+ points at halftime .
@@bns434 He's smiling because he and KG are of the same mindset when it comes to preparation, practice, and game mode!
@@americat3623 Maybe Deion should prepare for games instead of going on media tours every week. Love the guy but he's just a hype machine as a coach. At least as a player he could back it up--as a coach, he's just a brand for marketing.
@@zachsabbath1his record of excellence says otherwise.
@@zachsabbath1 he’s proven that he can do both. You mean like maybe if he didn’t play professional baseball he would have been great in professional football? Coach Prime is on the job at 5 am. Your criticism don’t make sense. But I get it. They lost a big game in an embarrassing way so now it’s The Hater’s Ball and they all came out, including you.
Dmx and Kevin Garrett having a conversation would've been Golden!!
That much energy in one spot would be like a nuke goin off
@BryanRoach you aren't lying!! Lol
@stevefrank9444 That would have CRASHED the internet 4 sure!
Wow never thought about it til now.
I guess. 😂
"he has a responsibility to his talent to be the best he can be" that's a bar, not just for sports, but for life
FACTS!!!!!!!!
100!
yeah way with words there
Some people really need a coach like KG
Nah KG would be on some Office Linebacker type stuff in the locker room.
Hopefully when this Timberwolves Ownership changes hands (it has taken too long) they will bring KG back to mentor the younger players and put his jersey in the rafters.
It’s sounds like the people who would ‘really need’ him the most would probably be the exact kind of people he wants to stay away from lol
If I need someone to neg me all the time and tell me I aint giving 100%, I'll just get married.
@@L4-295Exactly, those dudes are already mentally weak so a guy like KG would break them. Just imagine guys like Harden or Embiid having him as a coach, they wouldn't last a single sesh.
Deions kids just got too many legends and positive influences in their ears you can help but root for them and they mentally have all the tools to never lose
And as you watch Shilo's face, he was hanging on everything that KG was saying! He was definitely giving KG the respect that KG has earned in playing in the NBA.
This is what Coach Prime is trying to expose the Team to for Real. People looking from the outside making assumptions is the sad thing. It’s an opportunity many pay to experience.
Hearing greats give advice and talk 2 u face 2 face hits different! 💪 💪 💪.
They don’t have the hunger & desperation that prime did though.. that’s what made him PRIME TIME!
I'm pulling for CU, but please -'never lose' - they've lost 3 already and it's still October!
"It is his responsibility to his talent to be the best he can be." Mouthful by KG. I appreciate this old school.
Love how shilo is taking all this OG talk in
Me too! He's giving KG the respect that KG deserves!
You can see his eyes are literally locked in & taking in the gems
Something some of these young Rap kids need to do IMO...
Wow man Shilo needed to hear that it touched him too. Deion sitting back like a Proud dad cuz an another man telling his son the same thing he been preaching. #TheVillage
Exactly so this year you can see the change in Shilo behavior. He is taking football more serious. He is maturing. Even his dad mentioned it in one of the videos the changes and growth he has seen in him. Him being more discipline. Showing up on time, staying late watching film and doing what he is suppose to do.
Faxxxxxxology 👊🏾
Yea sometimes you just need to hear it from somebody besides ya pops. The message hits a little harder coming from somebody else.
Hopefully folks remember KG's back story. Dude went str8 from HS to the league. Repping the CHI and SC. Definitely had to have strong passion, work ethic, and a warrior's mindset to play and be successful amongst the big Dawgs in the league. Failure was not an option.
His post game NBA Finals championship "Anything is Possible" celebration pretty much sums up the emotion and passion. Joint had me a tad bit emotional b/c as a passionate individual myself, It was truly felt.
Facts and I'm a laker fan I remember watching that and still feeling kg after our lost
I have nothing but respect for this dude for his approach and passion towards the game. Wish he would have gone to Boston earlier in his career and maybe gotten 2 chips. And that anything is possible moment still lives in my memory and I straight shed tears watching that Respect to KG !!
Remember when Anthony Peeler busted him in the mouth?
I swear this is why KG was my favorite NBA player. I hated he didn't get the help in Minnesota but was happy he got his ring with Paul n the Celtics. He always had that fiyyyaahhh!!!
If Stephon Marbury would've stayed I feel like they could've won something.
@@nightArbitrage If Cassell didn't injure himself celebrating like an idiot they prolly would have won that year
@@BryanRoach DUDE CASSELL WAS 36, MARBURY KG AND GOOGS HAD SOMETHING SPECIAL. THEY DEMOLISHED JORDAN I WAS YOUNG BUT REMEMBER.
@@nightArbitrage ONLY IVERSON WESTBROOK AND KOBE ARE LIKE KG. PASSION AND 1000% DRIVE MOTOR
I followed him to boston and i hated the Celtics . Knicks was my team but when i saw kg play Houston on tnt . He was my guy until he retired.
"People who got money cant hear nor see"
"...because they don't have to; they already got it"
In a past life KG was a Gladiator
💪🏾
I soooooo wish KG could’ve talked to the entire team. What he explained is what Deion wants out of his proverbial DAWGS.
His current players do NOT play for each other at all. They do not hold each other accountable at all and it shows on the field during game time.
Love this!!! The whole Buffs Team needed to be listening to that conversation.
This is how i know that Colorado will be just fine in due time. Everybody talks about the flash and the talking but they must also realize that the kids are getting this type or coaching too. Year 1, the mentality is being reversed and set. Year 2, the roster will begin coming together, by year 3 and 4 theyll be extremely competitive
Yep!
This!
That is the type of passion Coach Prime is talking about. This is the reason he isnt fond of label's like 3,4,5 stars.
Ima screenshot this. I'll be back in 4 😅
Fax
4 of my favorite people at the same damn time ❤. KG's passion has yet to be matched...in my eyes.
That’s that Taurus mentality
@@ThaNauticaGod ONLY IVERSON WESTBROOK AND KOBE ARE LIKE KG. PASSION AND 1000% DRIVE MOTOR
Bruhhh I need this whole episode! KG has always been passionate and a good storyteller but it’s dope how he’s gotten better at articulating his message
That one where he said that he got invited in to play with MJ, Pippen etc, is still my favourite story. 😏
Thank you Coach Prime for making it make sense to me about these modern day pros.
KG is one of a kind.
For all the hating these coaches and pundits are throwing at Deion Sanders, how many of them are getting Hall of Famers across every sport to give dedicated life lessons to THEIR teams? 🤔
Preach!!
KG is dedicated to the game and he made basketball exciting & entertaining to watch
In case yall dont know he talking Blake Griffin 😂😂
KG the GOAT. This video explains it. Straight passion.
Preach!!!! KG is from that Era man. Lack of effort is unacceptable especially when you are professional.
KG, I love this message. This message needs to be on heavy rotation. 1.
Hell Yeah!! HEAVY ROTATION!!!
THE REALEST SHIT I EVER HEARD!!!!!!
just him talkin you can feel his energy..... love Kg aka BIG TICKET!
They fear us when we come together they don't want this
Puleez, trust they don't fear yall. Look at the community...shambles. Society deems BM as the weakest link. Easy to control with money, flash, show,ww and everything else that's external.
It’s so good these young kids get to see this!!! Wish this type shit was around when I was coming up playing sports. I had racist white coaches who was never athletes coaching me
How so?
Facts
Nobody fears yall. Everybody love real genuine people. We dont like yall subset of victim mentality cry baby hypocrite criminals tho
KG gonna make these new dudes cry if he’s the coach 😂😂😂
Let say this again I LOVE KG’s love of the game!
KG is a rare Gem 100%
Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of hard difficulty and hustle. You have to do it, or you don’t want it bad enough.
Our society needs more of this intensity in life!!! This is what true warriors sound like outside of the lines.
KG would run all these soft players away with his realness and toughness mindset 💪🏾💪🏾
With the way KG played, I never saw him as a coach after his playing days.
Yeah these new dudes too soft he gonna make the cry
@@dreambiggmediathat’s not coaching though lol Coaching requires a certain patience and understanding that KG doesn’t appear to have….unless it was with Minnesota management
KG’s basketball game was all athleticism and finesse - once he lost the athleticism, he was done. KG wasn’t a dumb player, per we, but no one ever accused KG of having a “high basketball IQ”
@@DelusionalNYC Duncan never led team unlike KG. Perfect example whos smarter was when Garnett led USA to gold medal and Duncan led team to most lost in history. If u cant win in FIBA you are not high IQ because FIBA not use athletic to play.
@@Celtics6-0vsMonkeyJordan AGREE KG ULTRA SMART GUY. HIS FUNDAMENTALS AND TEAM PLAYER BEYOND LEVEL. IF HE HAD ADMIRAL FROM DAY 1 LIKE OVERRATED DUNCAN HE WOULD WIN MORE RINGS.
This is why KG is in my top 5 all-time. Organizations matter.
Love this! Keep it real for our people! Let the masses know we are intelligent! ACCOUNTABILITY!
THE REAL
I see why ray allen going to the heat hurt so much to kg
Still hurts up to now
"It's your responsibility to your talent to be the best you can be...." -KG . 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I feel the same way. I wasn’t no hall of famer but I played my ass off when I was preparing and playing on the gridiron. I’ve tried to coach and yeah I hated it. Parents always trying to say something kids thinking they deserve shit it was a mess.
KG real as it gets!! Really surprised he don’t have more MVPs and rings!! He energy and passion if def hall of fame for all eras!! No question!! Heck of a career and you can still see and feel his energy to this day!! 💯💪🤝🫡👍
No grown millionaire is truly attempting to listen to a coach after they’re past their rookie contract !
I felt his passion through the screen. In my spirit! Everyone these days are low vibration and giving that much effort
KG got me ready to run through a wall right now! 😂😤
Yes!!!!!! Yes!!!!! Yes, Kevin!!! That’s integrity baby! That’s passion! That’s the love and taking pride in what you do! I truly understand it and get it. That’s what’s missing in today’s job market. Simply giving a damn!
nah kg would kill them if he coached
The only guy I remember Doc Rivers wanting KG to work with on the Clippers was Blake Griffin. I remember it was in the news that KG was going to work with Blake Griffin. Could be why Blake and CP3 didn't get along either.
Blake was a Kardashian 😅
Figured it was him
I think so too. Makes sense.
It was Deandre Jordan
@Chen7500 KG worked out with both Blake and Deandre in 2016.... he was still working with Deandre in 2017. When Blake went to Detroit, KG took Henry Ellenson away from a workout with Blake and worked out with Ellenson instead.
Legends spitin game to young fella and he soakin it up! Love it!!!
This is a class all athletes need to hear today! I am two generations before KG and P and trust me that was the standard!
Things are bad, when even rich people are acknowledging money fucks the game up. things have always been bad, actually. It's just nice to be living in an era where honesty is making a comeback and people, not money, are showing us where value(s) has been all along. It's with the people.
Indeed. The Love of the Art has to be Honest. Sugar Ray Robinson - was Pound for Pound One of the Greatest Boxers! He said in an Interview - "I only Boxed for money. I didn't really like it but I was good at it. My real passion was Dancing and Performing." This man is Champion of the World in Multiple Weight Classes - became a Celebrity at something he didn't really have passion for. But he was serious about not being poor. He loved living the Good Life. So he disciplined himself to be the best. Those kind of examples are Rare. You have to love what you do or have a fire under your ass reason, for giving your all to something. Ane when the geniune desire and love for something is exchanged for the material gain, the artist loses passion to do th Art and the entertainment value is lost and the Artist is forgotten U Be Five Heartbeats Eddie Kane up in this bih talkin 'bout "Duck; I still got it listen: "Nights like this / I wish / that raindrops would / Fa-hahaha-hall! This is the message missed that Prime is trying his best to communicate to these young men. If you love it; the money will come, and you will be able to carry that ability to take care of yourself because you've discoverd the secret... "Do what you love; Well, and it will take care of you the rest of your life"
It's about the mentality not the money. So many cats nowadays aren't playing with the love of the game.
@@BryanRoachI agree 100%. Across all the major sports, there’s a bunch of guys playing for the money and the lifestyle and not because they’re actually passionate about what they’re doing.
I feel you KG 🫡
Dropping them jewels on Shilo love it. No matter what sport you play a game is still a game go hard or go home. #NOPREMADONNAZONE
🔥 real shit KG
This should be played in every locker room from High school to college to the Pros throughout the season to remind players what they are here for in every sport.
Salute Big Ticket (KG)
Man this is too good.
The Passion, Commitment, Intensity, and Devotion is why he is among the All Time Greats. Salute KG...a misunderstood Pro's Pro.
I need the rest of this episode! 🔥
KG and Ray Lewis u can tell they didn’t take anything for granted talent effort accountability KG tho here made me feel every word “AINT REALLY NO PLAYING AROUND U TRYING WIN RIGHT CUZ IM TRYING WIN”
KG is so REAL…❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
"I've had several family & guest meetings. None were recorded. What happened to things being sacred?"
-JJ Redick after watching this clip probably.
That’s what they call a true professional. You have professionals based on talent alone but the he’s not a true professional. Those who live in their profession and compete to the extreme and highest level those who hang around and who be great in their profession
KG is a beast. Love it. If only these little wet behind the ears college players knew the gold mine they have in front of them. They would all give it more than their all.💯💯💯💯
Absolutely 💯
Realist🐐💪🏽
More. More of this please.
4 minutes of gold
Man I love KG saying Paul was the best player on their team. He loves Paul and respects him so much and fought for him. They fought for each other and I loved seeing that from them.
He talking about Blake Griffin "It's not Blake's fault" (Doc Rivers voice)
That’s great stuff KG!
As someone who got to see the KG the experience we all wish he got here sooner. He got us a chip. He will always be beloved in Boston
Can't wait for the full episode tomorrow. ❤
I think KG may be talking about Chet Holmgren when he mentioned he curved his workout. Recall he sat down with Chet during summer league, did a interview & Chet mentioned he’s in LA & wanna workout with him 🍵
Good look because I was wondering who was goofy enough to do this lol makes sense.
not Chet... its Blake griffin a few years back when Blake was on the clips.
don't know much about Chet but from the outside lookin in he wouldnt be stupid enough to curve KG lol
Prime and KG got me hyped up to go into work tomorrow! 🤣
KG is the best on energy.
This made me think about how some NFL players will still play through pain. Recently, David Njoku played even though his face had severe burns.
It's tough to mix desire with results. Most have figured out the action with the desire brings desired results. Younger people are closer to the energy of benefiting from the hard work of pioneers. It's a little difficult for them to find the same energy to achieve greatness because greatness was given to them. It's tough for people who grew up in 70's, 80's, and early 90's to relate to the work ethic of the newer gens. They know how to hustle but they're the ADHD babies... can't focus on one thing to long - they're more diversified in their options pre monetary success. It's like that scene from Boyz in the Hood - what Lil Chris say when Furious offered him $5 to help rake leaves? Remember Lil Chris' reply was: "😅 Five Dollars? Mane that ain't shit! I can make more than that doing nuthin!" This is what's in the back of a lot of kids minds today, that they have to fight against if they want a particular kind of material success with the Action path that they have chosen.
97 baby you're 💯 percent correct
Then you realize every generation says that about the next generation. People from the 50s said that about guys in the 60s. Guys from the 40s said that about the guys in the 50s and so on and so forth. Then you hear “you right but this generation is extra too soft” lol. I think it’s just a part of getting older.
KG got the passion for the game
This video is gold for any coach. Needed this.. appreciate the game!
Props to Shilo. I can’t read minds but it looks like he’s actually soaking in the knowledge he’s receiving. I understand he’s blessed but it doesn’t look like he’s taking those blessings for granted which would be pretty dope if true.
Cant wait im excited for this one
THIS ✊🏾
great content and insight from KG
I watched this like 3 times. 🔥
That was a great conversation.
💯
KG always real with it
1:07-1:09 Deion sitting back there like "ah yes grasshoppa, I tought them well".
Me personally I believe I would have reached my full potential playing for a coach like KG. Whatever that ceiling was, HS JV, College 12th man, NBA Superstar. Where ever I could have gone, I would have with a man like him pushing me.
Love KG man
Straight facts!!!!
I approve of these messages ❤
KG talkin about Chet👀. He was on KG certified a few months ago and they was talking about getting in the gym
You sure bro? I don’t know cause kg was just giving praise to chet like last week after the spurs game
No man this was during Doc's time with the Clippers I thinks it was BG or DJ.
@@Olivier2345I think he was talking about Doc's time with the Clippers
I hope Chet's no punk in the NBA. I'm rootin' for him
bro that was my first thought was Chet... can't think of anyone else. It could all just be a philosophy difference thing too KG is real real old school.
