  • This is how every 4x100 relay team should be formed. If not, you run the risks of having 4 fast guys yet a very slow overall relay time

    Thanks. Now I know my best runner should run all 4 legs. Super helpful!

    my interpretation of this:
    1) The most explosives starts
    2) Second fastest in your team
    3) The one who's comfortable in the curve
    4) yeah basically the GOAT in ya team

    Actually the best way to order a 4 x 100 was to create a foreign exchange program at your local high school with Caribbean Island high school students

    So have the same person run the last leg that runs the second leg, gotcha 👍 😉

    In my opinion it’s 1st leg is the best starter, 2nd leg is the slowest on the team, 3rd leg is 200M runner who can run the curve and finally the anchor leg is obviously the fastest

    • @andyysupp
      @andyysupp Před 28 dny +2

      nahh the second usually needed the second fastest in your team bro. you looked at them like they're slow but it is important to have speed momentum in that area, hence why people always put the second fastest sprinter in the second leg since it's a straight course too

      @kobegoh7935 Před 27 dny +7

      2nd leg is the longest leg, theres absolutely no way im putting my slowest guy on there. I actually like the idea of putting your fastest guy on this 2nd leg and 2nd fastest on anchor. But those two can be interchanggeable

    • @Hengel_Andrews
      @Hengel_Andrews Před 27 dny

      Haha. I’ve seen those team those “he almost caught them, if only the race was 10 meters longer for sure he’d have caught up”. If you’re going to hide your slowest guy, hide him on the 3rd leg by putting him deep in the exchange zone and putting the last leg high in their exchange zone.

    Speed order 3, 1, 4, 2.
    Its not complicated.
    and please believe me, good teams lose or under perform by not practicing enough on hands-off & timing. I was on a lazy good team.

    • @wilflava
      @wilflava Před 25 dny +3

      I used to agree and theoretically it's true, but the problem is with the mental side. Your second fastest sprinter won't be as used to winning races/being the one chased and might bottle it. Watch GB at the 2021 Olympics and 2023 World Championships and the last runner bottles the medal, a more experienced sprinter wouldn't.
