The Complete History of RMS Mauretania, Cunard's Speedy Greyhound. I was lucky to get permission to explore the preserved 1st class lounge and library in JAVA Bar Bristol, which is the first time they've been featured on CZcams. My thanks to @NauticalStudy for collaborating to tell you more about the interiors of Mauretania compared to Lusitania. Do subscribe to their channel for more Deep Dives into maritime history and let us know if you enjoyed this crossover between rail and waves!
Like RMS Olympic (Titanic's sister), 'Maury' survived an awful lot and became fondly remembered by everyone who knew the name. Upon researching the Blue Ribband winner I've uncovered more rare pieces of the ship that have been scattered across the UK today. I'm on a mission to find them, so stay tuned if you want to embark on that journey with me!

Mauretania is my favorite train.
Nah, but seriously, I like both trains and ships... basically as much as the other, so I'm real happy to see you cover the "Grand Old Lady".
Thank you! It seems not many people on my channel think the same but they're both fascinating in their own right.
Something different! Love to see it. Found this both informative and very intriguing, perhaps a future video on Carpathia 🤔
Nautical study seams to be quite the ship interiors guy, I would know I collabed with him on a titanic video! Great video and an interesting watch, Gota love the Mauritania!
I love Ocean Liners and grew up watching Thomas so this is a fantastic crossover of interests.
Same
What an interesting piece of history 😃👍
There’s just something so beautiful about these old kind of Edwardian steam ships. The exterior is nice, the interior is nice, and their history is always interesting.
I don’t know if Nautical Study’s style of video merges very well with yours though.
Awesome video, something different this time for the series. Great video Max, well done.
Always look forward to your video essays mate! They've come on leaps and bounds 😊
Thanks man!
When two of my fave youtubers collaborate on a video.
Hey finally a Cunarder
Another ship video? Don't mind if I do: you picked a legend to cover in Mauretania. Also epic that you got Nautical Study to help here: I could definitely tell with your slightly more sarcastic than I remember talking lol
My favourite ship after Aquitania (the improved but slightly slower sister of Lucy and Maury (Aququie?))
Loved this, but you forgot the third sister, Aquitania, who served as an auxiliary cruiser, troop ship and hospital ship in WW1, as Mauritania did. However, I forgive you, as this was a great video 💜
Great video, Max!
The sheer amount of those curved tubes on the deck is fascinating.
That's 20th century ventilation for you.
2:58 this is a nbr y class which is based of Smokey joes design
Cool
1:19 wouldn’t “we are need a bigger boat” be a better name for this chapter
Tbh I think u should’ve done bittanic and Olympic titanic doesn’t have that much history apart from the sinking
czcams.com/video/l45V3SCjMsQ/video.htmlfeature=shared Here is one on Britanic.
Oh thank you
What about the titanic
I'm sorry to inform you that it has sunk.
