Craig, I've been a big fan of your channel for years. My only suggestion: someone needs to stop with the GIFs or only include the best ones. IMO, it takes away from the legitimacy of your great knowledge & content. Love Papa Al!

I agree completely. The graphics and pop ups have gotten out of hand. Love the content but don't need all the fireworks. Putting up the word crawls of ever other sentence is also a little much.

My Friend, may he Rest in Peace, and I gave an impoverished Handi-capped High School student a Handi-capped van to him and his Grand Parents. It was quite the emotional deal. Tears were flowing from everyone's eyes. It was AWESOME.. And such a great feeling being able to help them out.
This is the sort of content I like to see from you. The auctions are great, but the process of preparing a car to sell is more interesting.
I have a 2001 audi allroad and yours has a Phatnoise PhatBox music player. The reason they are cool, is that they plug into the existing CD changer DIN plug and you can use the factory headunit to find songs by a pretty smart text-to-audio search interface using the factory headunit buttons and dial. The storage is a 20GB+ portable harddrive. There is a docking station that allows for "easy" transfer between a computer and the portable storage harddrive.

Love the Audi! I had a one owner A4 B5 (01’) S-Line manual Avant back in the day w/ same mileage. Cannot believe they shoehorned a V8 in that little car. So fun! Keep us posted. All your content is great Craig. We watch everything!!
No such thing as an S-line B5. S-line didn't start until the C5 A6 in the 2004 and for the B6 as well in 2004. Cool that you owned one back in the day. I currently have 6 B5s. 4 A4s and 2 S4s
I owned a car dealership for some 20+ years. I got burned out with all the change as of a couple of years ago. This guy has good energy, just be careful to take time to slow down. God be with you my fellow dealer Craig.

One of the best videos you have ever made. Liked the easy flip of a 80's-90's "Cars and Bids" style car. You do a great job on your ordinary car and truck videos, those are entertaining. It's great to see your work on your favorite modern classics like your Eclipse or your Nissan. Really liked the specific information on the detail process. I have a modern Classic and that is the same process I did to bring the paint back to life.
Rear seat armrest into trunk was designed by Volvo! It allows 4 people to go skiing and when done slide skis into trunk and manufacture’s sell “Ski Kit” so snow doesn’t drip onto rear seat!

Always puts a smile on my face when I see Craig talking with his employees. You can tell there’s mutual respect there and you can tell people enjoy working with him.
The last time I had a smile on my face was just after New Year's day when a nice warm reminder rolled up my backside and reminded me what happens when I eat too many beans with my cabbage.

Use WD-40 on all plastic molding to make them look like new. It also works great on engine bays and plastic parts. Try it, it really works good, I've been doing it for years. Since WD-40 was developed as a water repellent, it works as a natural coating for plastics. Works especially well on black, greys, and dark plastics, works good on whites, but not very well on clear unless you use very small amounts. Hope this helps you.

Probably my favorite is the day at the auction…..pre-lot walk….bidding….post (all cars, not just what you actually buy)…..getting prepared for sale and sale results. High-end auctions (not Mecum….over rated and already on TV).
This is interesting, like how you are polite to your employees. Shows good character.
Couple years ago I bought an 04 Allroad V6 for $850 at an auction with 190k miles. Replaced the front Axles for $110 . Basically drove it for 2 years and 30k miles as a winter car. Sold it for $2700. Next owner blew it up shortly. Don't beat on it, it ran and drove great! Needed fuel pump eventually. Like $60, easy under the rear seat parking lot replacement. Did brakes because of my 6 year old daughter.
Craig this young man understands submission of what you're trying to do is basically but lipstick on the paper make it it's best look people care about that people see that it's clean and they love that about a used car and they're more than willing to pay your price that you ask them for. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
At 99k and being one owner I would bet the timing kit has already been done about 30k ago lol. Great cars much much love!

That's why you get an A6 or A8 with the belt driven V8. Pretty stupid why they only put the chain V8 in the Allroad.
Love the All road! Great color gives a "guy car" vibe. Clean and seems to be well taken care of.. Yes picking up the older cars and flipping is great!

Craig, thank you for providing us with such a valuable service. I almost bought an Audi recently until I watched you grappling with your love/hate relationship with them. But I also waited too long. Anyway you have such a wealth of information, please keep telling us about the autos to stay away from. The gm fuel management system issues info is incredibly valuable. I had no idea how messed up FMS is. Have you considered doing a top ten list of autos to avoid or buy. I also love the detailing info you have been providing. Great stuff! I am subscribed and will be buying some merch.

Very nice. Those tiptronic transmissions were made of butter. The 2.8 and 2.7L engines melted them, so seeing this alive with the 4.2 is awesome!!! GLWS.
Only the TQ converters failed on them. Rest of the transmission is bulletproof.

I had a 2004 Allroad with the 2.7T and stage 2 tune. I loved that car. Unfortunately they didn't age well mechanically due to their complexity and cost of maintenance thus you see fewer and fewer of them on the road.

Haha holy shit a Phatbox haven't seen one of those in 15+ years - Back in the day, they were better than CD's, cheaper than MP3 players, etc. They were a drop in replacement for the factory CD changer for a number of applications. It interfaced with the OEM Audi CD changer and allowed you to dump a ton of music on instead of CD's. It was pretty quickly replaced with iPod's and Aux jacks and then later MP3 storage in dash. Nice find!
As a followup, I went down a rabbithole - Kenwood seems to have bought them out and turned it into the Kenwood Keg.

I saw an Audi on your lot before and I thought to myself that is one car I would never buy. Why not? Well I had a relative who retired rich fixing Audis, VWs, Saabs. However, this one was a pleasure to see and being a 1 owner is a game changer. Looks like you did well - this time.
I’ve used a dewaxer called Vericlean which will remove the wax from the plastics without damaging anything. We use this dewaxer in fiberglass boat molds when we need to clean molds and rewax them.

I'd buy that Allroad every time. Those cars are awesome, and that one appears to be well kept and very clean. Ive alwayswanted an Allroad, settled for a 2006 A4 Avant Manual and I enjoy it very much. Twin Turbo 4 banger Avant, its so much fun to drive, thatAllroad would fill that role very well. Thanks for sharing.
Cool that this is about dealing with paint fixes. After following Craigs other videos on detailing paint the Buick Park Avenue is now oxidation free. But what a job. The signed car is now the shiny car.
Meguiars makes a black spray film to cover black trim. Works fantastic😊. Just mask car off where you dont want it to touch.

I retired after running a shop 37 years the only way to safely clean the cloth headliner is use a soft terry cloth or microfiber miss the cloth with Windex Windex and gently wipe it that will remove the dirt without damaging the headliner
I like Audi 4.2L v8 engine. Its fairly reliable. Once the timing chain guides are replaced - its bullet proof.
Anything that you have to do to that car is going to cost a fortune no matter what.....😮

My dad had this exact car but with every Sline option the regular A6 avant came with, it was basically a tall A6 sline biturbo, I can still smell the Recaro seats

Great video Craig, I do a fair amount of pre-purchase inspections for customers as well as my own flips, any decent scanner will tell you how many miles since the codes were cleared on the vehicle. Helps to combat shady people trying to hide problems.
I too have a love / hate relationship with Audi. Had one that was crazy with all the warning lights that would come on each month and cost a bloody fortune to fix. Great car when it worked and had no warning lights, absolute nightmare the rest of the time. I like the videos of making ugly beautiful again.

I love my towncar(s), have since my Dad's '95. Comfortable, powerful, an absolute shame they're no longer made. It is quite as a whisper right up to the speed limiter at ~106. Smooth as glass too.
