Great video! It was great running into you out there! Cool to see my car in the vid for proof when I get to bragging! It doesn't look like it was pointed out by anyone below but the pueblo is actually a bit south of where the trail loop meets up. I think you found what may be a fort or lookout. I haven't run across that before even though I have been to Richinbar four times! On the map you show around the 4:25 mark the peublo is a little right of center at the bottom. Google maps/earth usually has it labeled as Ruins Tank. It is an off the trail hike but not too rough really. You can also see a diagonal line near it which may be one of the native running tracks. It might be worth a second visit!

That's called a cowboy shack that is what that little shack is called and yes they still run cattle up there and all the way up too where you head down into the Verde Valley.

Hello Sir, My name is Mike and I just started watching your video’s, the first one was about Badger Springs, I’m now watching the video about Richinbar, I just wanted to say your videos about all the ‘Agua Fria’ area was well done. The old windmill and corrals used be part of the old ‘Cross Y Ranch’ , I was part of the last cattle round up on Black Mesa before the ranch was sold and all that lease land was returned back to the state before it became a National park that it now. If you want I tell you a few places of interest in that area , I also work at the Cross Y , Canyon Creek (aka dude ranch) plus the Bumble Bee Ranch. I thoroughly enjoyed your videos. P.S. all the ‘Hohokam’ ball courts you have found are man made water catchments for cattle…lol Look forward to watching the rest of your videos.

Thats a spectactular view isnt it? Its one of my favorite places to fly my drones because of that spectactilar veiw. Its often windy there though due to the updrafts coming out of the canyon. Believe it or not there is another set of petroglyphs in that area that are literally right off the freeway. Everyone drives right by them all the time and never know they are there.

There are so many fat cacti out in that area lately. They've definitely been taking advantage of the recent rain systems that have been coming through. It's quite a sight. 😊

Great video! I drove right by there every day on my way home from work for years and had no idea. I saw vehicles parked there and saw people walking down the trail but I always figured they were hunters. Thank you for showing such a hidden gem.

In those days, everything was canned to preserve food! They had no expiration dates ,I have opened canned food that were 10 years old,no problem I ate whatever was in there
New here. That round structure looks like the drain off for what would have been a large wooden tank. They would leach the ore in the tank and when the process was done they'd drain the sands out the bottom. Fill up, repeat. I'm going to check the stats on this mine and see what they were mining. It looks like tungsten. Back in the '30's and 40's it was illegal to own gold let alone mine it. I do know the Spanish did some mining up there back in the 1700's but that was for placer gold. I.E. in the river. The cabin was called a line shack where a cowboy would stay while mending the fence or simply looking after the cattle. Retired miner and assayer of precious metals.

Hello, I like your videos! Have you ever visit Bluff in Utah? Very nice town, beautiful landscape. There is a historic Fort in town and a old Cemetery. And close by you can visit the Goosenecks State Park with a fantastic view to 3 loops River. This Area could be somthing for you. I was impressed!
We've been through the area before but it has been a while at this point. We certainly have plans to return and hit up more locations in Southern Utah and will definitely try to fit those locations in. Thanks for the recommendation! 😄👍
Entirely possible! They would have had to be stored somewhere and things certainly aren't looking the way they were then. So probably not something easily solvable but theorizing and thinking about what once was sure is fun. 😊👍

I have been under the impression you can’t fly drones in national monuments/parks. Have you been able to get permits? Would love to know the process for that as I do a lot of commercial drone work.

Actually thats an old cow camp. The windmill is to pump water for livestock. One or two cowboys would live there while working that piece of country

Yes you can camp on BLM land for up to 14 days in one spot. Then you need to relocate at least 25 miles.
The medical copters fly up and down I-17 all day.
Do you know if it would be ok to ride a mountain bike on that trail? .
