I first entered Hami's Bethel at night, saw the UFO, and audibly screamed. Gapped it and didn't discover all the corpses until later. I assumed the UFO disintegrated them lmao. Only until 2nd playthrough did I realize it was a Heavens Gate reference. The layers to this game are truly incredible

In some mythologies mountains were considered "where the Earth and Sky meet" making them a proper contact point with non human entities. Moses went up Mount Sinai to receive the ten commandments, and Mount Olympus was where the Greek gods resided. Maybe why the cult worshipers in RDR2 place importance on Mount Shann

Also notice that the bodies in Hani's Bethel have the front of their ribcage removed, as well is the disembowelled horse looking rather surgical as opposed to being done by animals. I found that interesting

Cool detail about Hani's Bethel that wasn't mentioned, you can actually see that each of the bodies in the beds are accompanied by cups or vials of something (Probably poison) on the nightstands or in their hands. So I think you're right about them poisoning themselves.
I remember discovering this literally by accident it was night time and I had a lantern on and Arthur was in the cabin of course I was like “good lord what happened here” then a few minutes the green light above I was like “what the hell no way aliens!!” I go out and there it is it was so cool and creepy

The panoramic map has lines that lead to the five main cities. it all apparently leads to that weird marking in the mountain near the dead giant with a new set of lines that can be put to new austin which then leads to a cliff to sit on...

Just wanna point out that the Epsilon Program isn't just in GTA V, it was actually first introduced in San Andreas way back in 2004 and has been at the very least mentioned in each game since.

There's theories about a third UFO. There was a fake video of someone finding it hovering over a mountain, but it was huge and very hard to miss, which is very unlike Rockstar. Although, I think there is a burnt corpse on that same mountain that people believed to be Michael from GTA (who's voice actor is in rdr2. Was that ever solved?) but that was confirmed to be false.
I remember that reddit post, it was all one big hoax, I originally fell for it and repeated the supposed "steps" to trigger it over and over until I got frustrated LOL

There is supposed to be a 3rd but those steps were fake. I believe the one compass u can find is part of the 3rd, NOT in the game files, ufo. Basically, cut content
The third was cut when they decided that Arthur couldn’t go to New Austin. Somewhere at a mountain where you can sit. The rock markings on Mt Shanan leads to it
Do you suppose it's significant that one UFO shines all green lights, and the other shows a lot of red lights? That doesn't seem like just a coincidence, but on the other hand I don't know what the red one would be warning about if red is taken to mean "stop" or "danger."
Red, and green, are the colors on the medicine/Sun wheel at the Native Burial Site. Also, on the Cat skull, and Ram skull masks. Ancient Tomahawk is red, and green….🤔
As far as we know Time Travel is to be Taken into account, GTA 5's modern UFOs are divided on Two groups, one that are considered to be actual alien UFOs and the FBI's UFOs so maybe that's their way of seperating them in rdr2 even tho this whole thing is such a mess that it's impossible to make coherent theories
As far as a well-rounded piece of art goes, The Last Of Us is my favorite video game but concerning just pure hours I've spent in a game would RDR 2 has everything beat by a mile.
There's just no other game that comes close to how I feel when I'm in that world. I delight in starting a new file just for an excuse to go hunting for my favorite outfits all over again. Simply riding my horse across the world at a slow trot does something to me no other game can compare to. It's just so relaxing, so meditative, so zen. And it doesn't make sense because Forbidden West and Ghost Of Tsushima are arguably more beautiful. They're certainly more colorful.
But if I had to articulate why this game does this to me it's that if you can't fire in any direction without hitting a landmark. Everything is totally unique. Every forest unique. No mountain copied. Every valley, enough to make one weep at what America once was. And I believe this is crucial at getting lost in a game would (along with so many random events maybe even I haven't seen them all).
The villages in The Forbidden West are second to none. With an attention to detail that borders on obsession but the moment you leave, you're in a duplicate desert, a mountain, a forest or a tropical forest with copy and paste ruins in between.
Thank you for articulating that. Riding along and seeing a particular landmark across a river feels like passing by "home," in a way that other giant open worlds with generic spaces in between can't do. I fire up the game just to relax--I might find new random encounters and new places to poke around in, or just spend a few days in St. Denis sitting on the hotel balcony.

I'm convinced Rockstar was probably planning a "cowboys vs aliens" type of DLC, similar to Undead Nightmare for the first game, but they put all their focus and resources in Online and the DLC never came to be. A shame.

Fizhy, people are going to be forever watching your videos about RDR2! here i am 4years later seeing this for the first time, the game itself is so Timeless, it's really too easy to loose track of time and basically everything is a mystery with an "answer" that is basically an interpretation of the players perspective, its amazing world building for sure, not a lot of games, if any come close to how RDR2 makes the player Feel and wonder 100% of the time
I remember climbing mount Shann to get the giant's remain, climbed all the way up to look at strawberry and almost got a heart attack when i saw the UFO just flying there
I think aliens actually do make sense in a symbolic type of way in the Red Dead universe. Think of how the native Americans must of felt seeing giant wooden ships arriving on their shores it must’ve felt alien, something they’ve never seen before. Maybe the UFOs are symbolic in that sense to give us the feeling the native Americans might’ve felt

Can you do a video about the small settlement in the grizzly’s that was burned down and all the residents have arrows in them, I saw it in online so idk if it’s in story mode but it’s definitely worth a look and I haven’t seen any other videos on it

I think the panoramic map is important because it seems to be drawn from very high in the sky… which could point to aliens making it
The rock carving on Mount Shann shows a new perspective from Twin Rocks in New Austin.
Have you seen the video from 'Strange Man' (Panoramic Map Explained) - In it, he says the painting on Mt Shann could point to Twin Rocks north of Armadillo (The compass heading being North from that location). As yet no UFO spawns there so he did wonder if it was possibly cut from the game.
The compass rose on the rock painting is pointing north - its to help orient the direction you need to look. It means that the top of the map is approximately eastward.

It might sound like I'm tripping a little too much, but I have for myself that the aliens and Francis Sinclair have some kinda connection although I cannot point out how/why. But as you said, they (the aliens) can travel through time left alone space. Perhaps they're all Epsilonists visiting past times.

The weird sundial at the top of the mountain is a hidden spot for treasure. When you follow a certain trail of maps, you’ll get up to that sundial and get 6 gold bars. If your more interested just look up ‘how to get six gold bars in rdr2 story’
I think this mystery goes even deeper than just red dead redemption, the CZcamsr strange man had some good points about the ties this has to grand theft auto. I cannot stop watching these vidoes

You know the creators of GTA and RDR have said they exist in the same Universe. So my question is, Could Mount Shann be similar to Mount Chiliad? And are these the same aliens? Because Mount Chiliad is alllll shades of messy. And what if that group is actually the first Epsilonists? It's an interesting theory.
In my current playthru I found the panoramic map when I was on a quick trip to maybe find Pearsons compass -.-
But after some time studying the map it led me to the top of mount Shann where I saw the UFO for my first time. I knew that there is an UFO to be seen somewhere but it still caught me by surprise when that happened. To me this is what the panoramic map is all about. Finding the place where this map was drawn to then see the extraterrestrial vessel. It was a fun thing to do in this game without earning any reward other than the short treasure hunt like adventure it self and the encounter at the mountain top.
Is funny how gta5 literally only had one Easter egg 'Mount Chilliad' and it literally lead to nothing, meanwhile rdr2 has multiple UFOs all over the map and other Easter eggs that would keep you playing for hours

@@_Gwuapo the easter eggs were largely to do with the cults. the altruists sacrifice and cannibalize humans in hopes of pleasing their perceived alien lord, “Lord Zappho”. if you look at the drawings at their campsite, you can see the connection to “him” and what could be an “eye” or “sun” or ufo. their dialogue icon when you bring a human delivery is also someone reaching up to a ufo.
there’s also the infinity 8 killer with his poems on rocks in the desert and in the prison, and the screams coming from 9a.
and jolene cranley evans’ ghost, murdered by man running for governor jock cranley.
and the strangers and freaks letter scrap strand regarding lenora johnson who was killed and mutilated found at the dam.
most of this is mentioned on the in game internet, or by “special characters” in the world in the case of andy moon. you can actually roam around for a long time if you keep your eyes open.
there are also random things never really mentioned too, like those red arrows in the desert area of the map, the sand glyph etc. plenty of fun worldbuilding

Yes. The stars also change, the entire sky was done as realistic as possible, there's even the winter and summer solstices

Yes please, any further developments would be most welcome, thanks. It’s not just the content that matters so much as the way you cover it. Your style is comprehensive, in depth, realistic (in the sense that you never try to sell us duds or use click bait titles to draw us in to nothing burgers like some channels I could name) and you have a wonderful lightness of touch which adds more gravity to the overall content by showing a very authentic personality behind the presentation. I loath the presenters who sound so, “stylised,” that you can’t imagine them ever talking to people the way they do in their videos in real life. And some videos are stuffed with time wasting filler. Yours never feel like that. Plus I always learn at least something that I didn’t know already. So yeah, anything you get on this Easter Egg trail would have real value for me.

Apparently the 2nd map on the rocks is located new Austin at twin rocks. The lines are pointing to other locations as well, but idk if they have anything purpose besides helping you to find the main location.
Just a couple of minutes ago, I was curious and stumbled over the shack and experienced the UFO easter egg without knowing any instructions on how to see it beforehand. Had to come here to make sure it was an actual thing, haha!

Such a blatant “heavens gate” reference with the matching foot ware and having the blankets covering everyone. As soon as the “matching shoes” line was mentioned it was immediately the only thing I could think of.

so interestingly enough, that compass doodle is actually a representation of a location in space! its either similar to the one on voyager or is a copy of it but basically it points aliens to where earth is with measurements from quasars to earth, i am by no means smart enough to do it justice but there are certainly people on youtube who are and have already
The cabin full of corpses is a nod to the Heavens Gate cult that committed mass suicide in the 90s with the believe that they would ascend to a space ship trailing behind the Hale-Bopp comet.

I've seen something similar a few times. Ended up being the green light bulb atop one of the buildings. The game wasn't rendering things properly. Odd that the bulb stays on even after you burn the place down, though...
