  • So the boat is ours ! We are in the Yard at Tiger Point Marina, doing what we can to get her ready to splash. Lots of cleaning, and a couple of repairs to get done. Looks like we will probably be just a bit over our estimated budget...naturally !

I have a frozen cable on my sailboat.
    Motorcycles have the same problem.
You can buy an adaptor to help you spray oil into the cable.

That cable is still stiff. I think part of the problem is it's just too long. The way they ran it makes it longer and with more curves than it needs to be. I'll probably try to replace it before I go.

In my case the cable was about 7ft long and had only one 90 deg bend. if you search for motorcycle cable lube kit you can get one for about $12. good luck

Sorry for the late reply ! But yeah, if I had it to do over again I think I would pick another date. Hard to get reservations !!!

can replace that stuffing hose with a longer one at a haulout so can put a small bucket under it. I have a rope handle taped to the hose clamp and it catches the drips. Easy to empty.

That's a good idea 💡 I am also thinking of installing a dripless shaft seal. Haulout won't be for at least a year so I'll have to see how the budget is doing 😅

Looks great 👍🏼 What engine is on the boat?

It's a Yanmar 2QM20, 22 hp. It runs really good, I'm pretty happy with it.

@@sailingonabudget - Should be plenty and should be easy on fuel. There’s one for sale near me with the Yanmar, no model number but listed as 20hp. Owner is asking $14k he bought the old girl in 1977, original owner. Gonna have to go have a look at her.

Congrats on the Endeavour 32. I bought the same boat about 18months ago. Have fun! Similar condition. czcams.com/video/mU_louM6KcM/video.html

She really seems like a great boat. We got her back home, I'm working on the video for that trip. It was a long motor, but fun !
