    I'll show how you can leverage Power Automate to take new forms responses and add them to your Microsoft Lists, as well as how you can take existing forms responses and add those to your list.

    Great guide. Do you know if it is possible to share who has filled in the forms, in the list? At work Microsoft registers who we are from our MS-profile, so it would be great if we didn't have to write our name or initials as part of the forms' questions. We share who is attending certain events, and there it would be nice to directly share who has responded to the forms in a list. Does the question make sense?

    Can’t thank you enough for this video! Question, now that I have it stored into Lists, I want to view the information in a graphical way. How would I do this ? Power BI? And how would I create a flow that adds additional information after it has been submitted? I know I ask a lot but you have a clear and easy to understand tutorial and would love to see this in action . Thanks again!!!!

    • @AprilDunnam
      @AprilDunnam  Před 3 lety

      You're very welcome! As far as viewing the data, PowerBI is probably the easiest approach. You could also leverage SharePoint list formatting to show custom visuals in the list itself as shown here: github.com/pnp/sp-dev-list-formatting/tree/master/view-samples/column-graph-format
      As far as getting additional info there after it's submitted, there's a second flow you would want to create for that. There's actually a template for it that you can search for to setup. I think it's something like "Forms data to SharePoint". That will create an item in the SharePoint list every time a new entry is added in the Forms.
      I'll see about creating a video on the scenario at some point too.

    Hi,
    great video.
    Is it also possible to fill the form with multiple people based on certain entries within the form?
    So as example the form should go through a whole department consisting of 6 groups and each group needs to fill in information in the form and then the form is send to the next group until all 6 groups have entered their information. It could also be that based on certain form entries that only lets say 4 out of the 6 groups need to enter information, so there should be also different branches to steer the form through the needed groups.
    Thanks in advance!

By default only forms you've created show in the dropdown in Power Automate BUT you can reference Teams forms by clicking on the "Enter manual value" dropdown option and copying and pasting in the Form ID in. You can get the form ID by opening the form and copying what's after the "ID" parameter

    Hi April, I have run into a issue hoping you can help me with.
    Someone shared the Microsoft form with edit access (which they created) with me. However when I try to use the form in my flow trigger dropdown, I cant seem to find the form. I understand this could be standard behaviour of shared forms. (If I created the form I can see it though). However requirement is that I need to use ONLY that shared form in my flow.
    I then tried to implement a workaround I saw in the forum discussions. The suggestion was to use the form id part (the portion after form id - xxxx) to use that ID as a custom value in the trigger. However when I do that way, I am unable to set the dynamic values to the the sharepoint list columns. All I see is only one dynamic item "list of response notification". Can you please suggest as I am stuck

    Great video. My flow didn't work, I'm getting a message error: The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Create_item' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: Input parameter 'item/Anyfeedbackfromtheclient_x003f_' is required to be of type 'Boolean'. The runtime value '"No"' to be converted doesn't have the expected format 'Boolean'. Does anyone know how to fix it?
