As a registered dietitian, I am always on the lookout for the latest superfood trends. And as a diabetes educator, I am always looking for natural ways to lower blood sugar. So seeing the research on the surprising health benefits of camel milk piqued my curiosity! And that's why I created today's video.

We have camels here, so we get it weekly fresh. Usually the people who grow up on camel milk here have stronger bodies which can be shown even from a younger age.

Camel milk is cool the most problematic thing so far is the expense and availability everywhere. Hopefully it picks up I'd like to try it in my coffee

It has a strong flavour and I never liked with tea or coffee because I taste the milk more than the coffee or tea. Maybe you might like. Wish I was able to send over there now because it's 50 cents a cup over here where I am at now in Somalia. Try to see if you can find the muslim community near you because I know there are halal farms that are in Australia that shipt goat, sheep, and camel meat to all over the West to muslim halal stores. I think I might have seen it in couple halal stores in San Diego CA and Minneapolis MN. The muslim people in the United States, especially those that own halal stores might have it or know where to get it depending on what city you in. If you are in Europe it should be even easier because there more muslims there. Most muslims from the Eastern hemisphere drink camel milk, I think. Good luck buddy.

Camel milk alone wont cure it, but since it appears to help the body produce and process insulin more effectively, try adding it with a meal and see how your BS responds :)

Always ask your physician but in general as long as you choose a pasteurized form it should be ok. Unpasteurized would not be recommended.
yes, I am drinking it during pregnancy and have no morning sickness at all, I believe camel milk helps.

It isn't something I would have all the time, but I am still a fan for immune support & blood sugar regulation. And I would recommend pasteurized varieties :)

I haven't seen any research that the health benefits are destroyed when pasteurizing but have found studies to say that camel milk has been found to contain organisms that causes Middle East respiratory syndrome, tuberculosis which are highly contagious infections passed from unpasteurized dairy products to humans. So I would always opt for pasteurized :)

Thank you! It really depends where you buy it. In the US it is much more expensive than cow's milk currently due to limited availability and can cost between $10-$30

@@feisalhaji675 That's fantastic! I don't know enough about the import business to help you, but possibly try reaching out to some of the camel milk companies selling in the US to see if they may be able to work with you?
Raw and unpasteurized is the way to go.
just be cautious as unpasteurized is not safe for everyone, such as pregnant women :)
@@HealthyMomHappyFamily Darrell only applies for a cows milk as cow milk has significantly much more bacteria than a camels milk.
