I like how each boss has stitching like oogie. A great way to literally tie them together in design
I love that about half the video was just that ONE. OOGIE. BOOGIE. BATTLE.
Both Nightmare Before Christmas games were originally intended to be tie-ins to a 2nd movie but that was cancelled due to Disney trying to make Tim Burton animate the movie with CGI instead of Stopmotion.
Never knew they actually attempted an sequel
I like the fact taht the games are part of the movie storyline.

Great stuff! In the final boss I didn't realize the corners were safe spots, would have saved me some facetanking :^)
I'm gradually realizing this with most of the bosses in this game. It's a shame it took me til halfway through to find it out though!
Ah the memories. One of the best.
You can tell that halfway through that Final Oogie Boogie battle that Shadowserg is like: "Okay, I'm tired of this, how else can I harm this bastard."
Yeah that fight is far longer than it has any right to be.
Holly crap a Disney GBA that does not suck. Also do you think you can Avenging Spirit, Warioland 1-4, and Kingdom Hearts.

Heh what a gnarly metroidvania. Thanks for showing this awesome game off, I recently beat Aria of Sorrow, Harmony of Despair, and Circle of the Moon. I was looking for another metroidvania to beat.

I am thinking the Second Boss might actually in fact be a worm, at the very least a worm would fit the insectoid motif of all the bosses thematically. Though it is also snake like with the coiling.
kenkurobasa it may be refrencing the lambton worm, a worm that grew into a snake dragon in myth

Ariel Gonzalez Time limits tend to make me panic in games, since I’ve had my experience with strict time limits where one mistake means you’re screwed.
It definitely was a way to make me exercise Patience as a Kid. 😅 That and Timing. My Sister would always make me do it for her too after I beat that part the first time.
I was also stuck on that part and just recently went back to it to try and beat it

Suicidal Skeleton I have memories of my younger self working on the pumpkin patch level for a month only to beat the area,get the pumpkin king item and somehow soft lock my progression. Jeez that sucked

OMG THIS GAME IS FROM 2005 AND FOR GBA WTF
The out of tune "This is halloween" before christmas
The last boss of this game is so trash. I came here to see if I was missing something with that one unbelievably long attack where he's invulnerable, but nope, just sit and wait for an hour. Really cool game but there are a couple segments like that that just waste your time in a completely unforgivable way, like the longer melted segments or the flies that take you to the start of the screen if you move in their vision.
The final boss music... is not a final boss music. Couldn't they swap it with the boss theme? It was pretty much better and upbeat.
