It's pretty sad that our most reliable hitter might be a 39 year old.
There's not one phenom type of player that I get excited for. Vladdy and Bo aren't franchise players. Their farm system ranks bottom 5 in the bigs. Almost no hit twice in 1 series. This will be a long and miserable season.

Only 2 more tasks….field a competitive team. And how they managed to spend $300 million and miss the opportunity to rebrand is beyond me. If you want it to be a ballpark, call it that. If it must have “Rogers” what is wrong with Rogers Skydome or Rogers Field or Rogers Park? Rogers Centre still sounds like a convention centre. Take a hint…there’s no Yankee Centre or Fenway Centre.

It’s actually closer than what they previously had. The baselines are closer as well. They got rid of 3,000 sqft of foul territory to bring the seats in closer. I wonder how that will play out this season. A lot more extra swings at bat…

not really. Or at least not a great one. It was designed to be a multi use facility. It had Argos football and Blue Jays baseball. Along with concerts, for a brief period Raptors basketball. Even things like the Car Show so the seats were designed to face in different directions instead of at home plate or to support baseball.
