    Question: how do you do the tin foil cone part? I have no idea how to shape it

    • @CluelessCrafts
      @CluelessCrafts  Před 2 lety

      When I made this I had no idea how to shape it either. You'll need a lot more tin toil than you think, so grab 3-4 feet of it to start. I folded mine lengthwise until I got the height of the volcano I wanted. Then I started rolling it up into a short cylinder. Once you roll up 1-2 feet into a thick cylinder, start squishing the top and leaving the bottom alone to get a cone shape. Continue rolling but now angle the tinfoil down so it only covers the bottom and there's some overhang. Then squish the bottom overhang up into the base of the volcano to create a nice solid base. Hopefully this leaves you with a condensed cone shape. Add or remove tin foil as needed. Hope that helps and sorry it wasn't discussed more in the video!

    • @CluelessCrafts
      @CluelessCrafts  Před rokem

      Always check the clay packaging for baking instructions. I usually bake mine for ~20 minutes. I have more info in the description.

      @CluelessCrafts  Před 3 lety +1

      Haha I suppose it would be a cinder cone.

      @@CluelessCrafts can you make a shield and composite?

    • @CluelessCrafts
      @CluelessCrafts  Před 3 lety

      @Jenelyn Nermal thanks for the suggestion, doing different types of volcanoes could be fun :)

    Did you use normal playdough

    • @CluelessCrafts

      I used oven bake clay, most commonly found in craft stores.

      Sculpey and Fimo. I have some info in the video description too. Any oven bake clay will work :)

    Can you use air dry clay as well?

    • @CluelessCrafts
      @CluelessCrafts  Před rokem

      Definitely, same concept, just paint on your colours with acrylic paint once it's dry. I'll try a video with air dry clay sometime :)

    Can we use play dough clay

    • @CluelessCrafts
      @CluelessCrafts  Před 7 měsíci

      I wouldn't recommend it unless it's just a fun temporary build. Play dough cannot go in the oven and it will not air dry so it won't hold its shape. Air dry clay would work.
