Can you do thr same thing for a vegan?
Not really into vegan food so much, so I wouldn't be good to make the video!
Susie English you can pretty much go to the same places and get the vegan options
Here Be Barr have you been to bing box it's amazing I think you walked right past it đ
TheRustyPyro not yet !
I'm impressed not only by the food you got, but also showing how to have a great day in New York.
Thanks glad you enjoyed
Those dumplings looked good for their price. When I was in New York (years ago) I spent well over $10 a day. I'm in the service industry and I'm glad you showed people where to go without spending a lot of money. I hate when people show videos like that going to restaurants but not tipping after getting served. You showed where to go and pay good prices without be served... Kudos to you sir! Keep up the awesome videos and I'm subscribing right now.
Thanks Ramiro !!
Ramiro Stephens yeah because u didn't starve through out the day
Honestly, I appreciate this so much more than the gimmicky $1 a day videos done; where their entire day is like scrounging around begging for meals or samples and doing unpractical things. Your video was not gimmicky, this was completely practical. And you probably showed some New Yorkers where to pick up cheap lunch and dinner, at dumpling shops and that pizza shop. Very good video.
How to buy $10 worth of bread in NYC.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł gotta survive
I lived in the Big Apple for 20 years and I totally understand the concept of this video. People that don't live in NYC and are commenting that, for 10 dollars they can eat healthier and for a longer amount of days, don't understand that it's a city where the majority of it's citizen barely spent 8 hours at home because they are out working. That means that cooking 3 meals for your self to take to work or where ever you go it's extremely difficult. Not only that, but if you are a tourist, cooking at the hotel it's not even a question. Thumps up for this video my friend!
I appreciate the kind words !
Rainiel Pena pimentel wow like an apple or grapes ans some cucumbers wont be luke cooking dummy...drop the lazyness..and eat healthy
Rainiel Pena pimentel I live in New York city this is so easy
Rainiel Pena pimentel you can meal prep
Rainiel Pena pimentel you can make your own meal without cooking it. such as sandwich, salad, some bread with meat thing, etc. u can make it even in the office
How to live for $1 a day.
Step 1. Buy cheap Ramen Packs prior.
Step 2. Don't leave the house.
Step 3. Sorted.

Meanwhile in Switzerland you can buy a pack of gum for $10 đ
Yeah but your average wages are like 10000 euros a week so it really doesnât matter
@@FFF034 but still on the end it turns out the same
Supermarket Deli food in Switzerland isnt that expensive
@@FFF034 I say the same thing to new yorkers
@@SuperDeuser if only you knew how much it cost to live here though
I JUST CANT STOP WATCHING THIS FREAKING VIDEO THIS IS LIKE MY 9TH TIMEđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Same here bro
Real challenge: Eat HEALTHY food for $10/day. Let's see you do that.
Step 1 Go to Whole Foods
Step 2 Spend $10 on bottle of water
Step 3 Fast that day, to lose excess body fat and toxins?
Would that work đ
MR.X you could do that for less than $10 practically anywhere in Europe
I mean if I'm honest you could most likely eat fresh healthy food for around 5 bucks or less a day
Fruit, veggies on corner markets/at delis.
$10 will get you next to nothing in Norway :)
So for $10 a day, you can eat a ton of carbs.
That's how they set it up to keep us fed, fat & dumb.
Marc Dostie quit your bitching it's food
Marc Dostie just buy a loaf of bread lol
GoldenCheese what? Carbs do not affect intelligence. If anything they provide large amounts of glucose that feeds your brain the energy it needs.

With $10 in India, you can survive an entire week (not food only)
I'm assuming you're not familiar with the conversion rates
I was about to write what you wrote, then I scrolled down I saw your comment.you are 100% right.
Am an Indian

SpLiT pErSoNaLiTy Youâd be able to eat real food too not just bread lol

LMAO I DIED
Better not drink too much wine at that art gallery. Going to spend a lot more than $10 if you do lol
Hahha.
because?
ê°ìží you would get drunk and would buy paintings
Demanize CSGO Game hunterz is actually what I meant dude
Rhinopocalypes well that is kinda dumb tbh, when drunk you are known to be clumsy
You can survive without eating for a day
@Saturn3D
Yeah you gonna be hungry AF, especially with all the restaurant smells in NYC. Maybe out in the middle of nowhere yeah.
@Saturn3D of course its possible. And the smell doesnt matter at all. Not eating for a day isnt really hard.
@@jackgrimaldi8685 I don't think they've ever been to NYCđ the food smells...yum...đ
Vanessa's dumplings in Williamsburg is hella cheap and really good
Absolutely
I was there just last week and paid over four dollars for one veggie sesame pancake (that was the cheapest one, the meat ones cost more!). Veggie dumplings were around the 6 dollar mark, again meat ones cost more. The food wasn't even that good :( Maybe they've upped the prices for trendy Williamsburg...
@@bbmcgee33 Yea the prices went up at the Vanessa's on 14th. Street as well. The Sesame pancake in the past 2 years have doubled, and that's just for the plain.đ Eldridge street was always the most inexpensive one but also the most unclean. Williamsburg was always the priciest out of the 3 locations, yet very clean and well maintained. The pan fried dumplings are still a good cheap treat, and a better deal than most places in the city.. Just not sure for how long that will be.
There is a difference between "living on $10 a day" and eating for $10 a day. You can't just account for your food. You need to add the costs of living, washing your clothes and other necessities.
Sir Naught chilllll
I think this is for people that visit NYC. If you're just visiting you wouldn't have to pay for those things.
No shit.
Let's not forget the metro card or cab fare.. that's like $10 right there lol đ
Sir Naught I agree. He kept going home, and even to the gym, so in my opinion all he did was spend ten dollars rather than live off of it.
Really happy to see the success of this video, Jon. You earned it buddy, keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot Dan !!
I love New York, even tho Iâve never been there.but something about itâs vibe, makes we want to live there.this city is very attractive.
The best city in the US.without a doubt
You've gotta go one day buddy, it's amazingđ
Same my guy
You could do a 2023 version of this and see what you can come up with.
I can buy 12 corn husks for $1 at safeway when they are on sale and 12 packets of ramen for $1, that'll last me 20 days. I'll drink water from public fountains, eat samples at supermarkets/costco/mall/farmers market, I'll occasionally get a few pieces of candy for free from the jars that sell them by pound, and community gardens and eat their plants and fruit.
Hose broke đ
You're making me hungry dude! :p
Siempre tienes hambre! No me echas la culpa.
jajajajajaj
you could live weeks in haiti with 10 dollars
drosh413 david have you been to Haiti?
Isaac Kiniti Yes my parents are haitian sak gennyen??
Stephan .G no i was talking to the guy who said yuk
In Romania too.
Yea if you wanna eat mud cookies and literal shit and spend less than 10$ a week, Haiti is the place to be.
"I went home took a break got some work done AKA ate some fast food and drank soda
hahaha
I don't get why so many people are prepared to spend 90% of their paycheck on an apartment in NYC and then have to skimp on everything to survive. I thought the point of people moving to New York was being able to do stuff like eat at decent restaurants. There are so many other big cities where you can live for 1/3 of what it costs in NYC and actually afford to do fun stuff with the rest of your money.
It's an interesting debate. Personally, I don't live on $10 a day, I did it as a challenge to show what you could do. I think NYC is not for everybody. If you want to save your money, it is a difficult place to live. At the same time, their are so many things going on, if you want to constantly be exposed to different cultures/things it's tough to beat. It just depends on what you're looking to do.
well most major cities are super expensive nowadays for example los angeles, san franscisco, chicago etc.. so if you dont want to waste a lot of money dont go to live in a major city
BenRangel the irony is in most major cities they pay you handsomely even with low wages considering if you retire and plan to move elsewhere like me.
a big house in a 3rd world country with 5 bedrooms 2 .5 bath room ,living room etc all for about $150 g's. .
now that same house in San Francisco where I live will run upwards of up to $3-4 Mil + since Victorian Houses are risint set to top $7 Mil by 2022 .
houses are relative to rent so even for a small apartment here it costs about $3 K- $ 7K,/month
đ
People like this in the UK, crazy about living in Central London. I've seen friends personally get themselves into debt to live in small shitty flats. Also food in central London is very expensive, costs you ÂŁ5 for a pint of beer. Total rip off.
BenRangel the only problem with it is I think college students shouldn't live in New York. they have many expenses, housing shouldn't be one of them.
the best part of this video is the free snacks at the art gallery
Yes, I agree ;)
But how he ate that bagel and those dumplings with no beverage đ
Well why not you can have a bagel with needin to have coffee or tea with it
Coffee is the biggest rip,off in the wrold
do people not eat with just water anymore?
whoooahhh and there was me, spending 6$ on coffee in NY LOL
Cream cheese bagel with no drink !?!?! BRUH
Cameron McConnell right!? How is that possible I get thirsty af from eating bagels
Plus its not on an everything bagel.
Well, at the end, he had enough money to buy a drink, seeing as how he was left with $1.50. Honestly, he could have bought an Arizona, and that would have lasted him breakfast and lunch.
right. Imagine his throat lol
There are water fountains at the park
YESSSS New York pizza is a must when you're trying to go cheap hahahah. You did so good Barr!!
Thanks, somehow I missed this comment for so long, lol.
I absolutely love NYC. Iâve been twice so far and I fell in love
Nyc has the best thin pizza miss nyc alot
Agreed
I absolutely agree sooo good
once you go for a while, that city steals your heart. :( i miss it too.
Great video! $10 in NY would be very difficult! You found yourself some good spots my friend! Cheers!
Yeah, I had to do my homework! Thanks.
Feel Good Lost TRAVEL try that in London. You probs could do it but you'd need to be buying Tecso Value cardboard bread and fillings. No way could be done eating out
Feel Good Lost TRAVEL nah it's eaay one day I spent only 7 dollars by myself
Feel Good Lost TRAVEL U says 10dollars cheap spending in USA ...in India that was a huge money to spend daily for food one a single person ...

I love this! This is some real NYC struggle challenge đ
in Thailand, $10 for FOUR days.
Really? :O No way!!
suppeboy saaid seriously...in malaysia for $10 maybe u can eat for 2-3days
I live and work in Bangkok. Usually spend around $4 a day. But let me tell you, it can be expensive af here! Going to Thailand and thinking its going to be cheap all the time is such a lie! It takes time to find cheap places and everyone is trying to rip you off!
well fortunately for me, I am full Thai and I'm very happy with street food prices :D
I don't mind the street food! Actually just had a dinner for 40 bath just outside my condo! Some of the best food around for sure! :D
I love this! Always looking for good food on a budget
This videos a whole other vibe, I love it so much, the music, the perfect shots and the whole feel of it is amazing, this is my favorite CZcams video ever, nice job man!

Iâm going to New York for the first time in January and your videos have been so helpful!!
Vanessa's Dumplings actually looked really good. Definitely going to be stopping in there for lunch later this month!
Remember kids, drink at least 8 glasses of water each day.
Kevin Zou say that to the kids in africa đ
NYC @ 10$, what else a tourist needs to know, I will not be surprised even if locals will not be aware about all these places. Very informative and helpful for a cost effective trip :)
Yes, I hope you picked up a few tricks.
I had to take a double , triple , quadruple take when your brother came on the screen . My son thinks your lying LOL . Great video
Thanks, ha ha yeah this was the video that really made my channel explode. So a lot of people asked that same Q .
Great places and awesome video!

Super cool. NYC for $10, amazing! I'd keep these tips in mind for my trip to NYC.
Yes, please do.
You honestly need more subscribers. Amazing video man!
Thank you so much ! I've got a lot of new content coming out soon. Stay tuned.
While in Australia....$10 gets you a packet of chips. Pfft
Sad Australia, in Minneapolis you'll get 5 / 6 packs of pretty big size of Chips.
Yo man keep up the good work this videos shows u deserve way more subs/views than u hav on other vids. Great camera presence and u seem like a genuine guy. Much love from London
Thanks Eddie. I don't know how much I really deserve, but I do sometimes feel like a 1-hit wonder when you look at this videos views compared to a lot of my other work (some of which I think is better).
At 3:50 .... i was kinda freaked out (on looking on to your brother)....I was like.... Who was holding the camera then ???? I didnt realize that you had a twin..... that's some freakish alikeness you got there man........
hahaha yep
The total for All that food if it were in NZ would be roughly around $30
Hahaha, yeah the U.S.A isn't the most expensive country in the world.
DeBo Cl3Y in New Orleans too.
depends where you are in new zealand
Just cam across your channel and subscribed, enjoyed it. Thank you.
this is very helpful as I tend to spend more than i'd like to on food, ill take this advice
Is this supposed to be hard ? Lmao I'm from the Bronx I'm fine with 5$ a day I guess since you were in Manhattan that's a whole different story they'll charge you 5$ for a hotdog while in the Bronx is about 1-2$
Yeah, this would have been much easier in the Bronx. Queens would have been fun with all the ethnic food.
Its a little cheaper than Manhattan.
Ye same
Here Be Barr yeah I live in the Queens/Long Island area, and you can eat so much cheaper. The food is great too but we don't have $1 pizza I think.
Spikiest Lotust $5 for a hotdog?! I've never paid that much for a hotdog in manhattan.
I didn't expect that you'd have anything left at the end tbh so well done! This shows that you just have to know where to go and what to buy :P
Exactly.
1000 Hungarian forints = 3.39500 U.S. dollars
So in hungary you can live through a day with 3.395 dollars. Insane, am i right? :D
JeRiKe u can live in india with jst a dollar in ur pocket... amd that would be enough
Nice! Definitely will try this out here. Fingers crossed!
$10/day is not cheap. How about making a video about cooking your own food with a $10/week budget.
Beans and potatoes sounds better.
if u can spend a week in india with 10 dollors
YeP
But you need to work for two weeks to make $10.
Can you try and buy an Audi A6 in India?
Zombiesize
Nanju Kt a month
Oh my god!Vanessa's dumpling is really really cheap!! All that for only 2$ ?? Loved the idea of going to the art gallery!
Thanks. I got the idea from couchsurfing.com actually.
i really loves your video your channel may i add. it helps a lot.. mostly the $10 challenge.. really it does help a lot. thank u so much
You can get a $1 or $2 slice of pizza in the city
In Brazil you can survive like that (not eating healthy and not cooking at home) for 3-4 dollars.
With 10 dollars, what I normally spend everyday since I don't cook very often, you can eat amazingly well going to cheap good quality places.
You can probably say the same for almost anywhere in the U.S.A outside of NYC/San Fran, etc. But outside of the U.S.A it's even easier, see my Mexico City Vlogs :)
i was surprised you won a dollar.
Same here, I never win anything. I guess if i won $50 and went crazy buying drinks the rest of the night, it would have been a more fun video.
Mike Johnson did he really âwinâ a dollar? I mean he spent a dollar to get a dollar so...
on street:coffee $1/banana 5 for $1/pizza 2 slices +soda for $2.75(2 brothers) etc...I love my city..New York
joseph salgado wepa!
brings back the NYC vibe
You kind of look like the guy for the Fiji water review. Aesthetic
Great video, enjoyed it! :)
I love thisâïž, it reminds me of seseme street
Thanks for mentioning the name of the restaurants I wish I saw your video when I went to Manhattan, very informative.
lol how can bagel be so cheap in NYC? a regular sesame bagel in my city costs like $50 (around USD6)

Interesting challenge! Thank You dear friend! Prices were friendly! I think that it would be a good idea to make such $10 challenge for current days!
Wtf 2.50 dollar for that?? Cheap af. In Norway u would probably been paying like 120 NOK (14.50 USD). 2.50 dollar is like 20 NOK. and that is cheeaaaap.
lol
Gotta pay for that "free" healthcare somehow!
America has the best healthcare system in the world, it's just not a taxpayer-funded entitlement like in socialist europe. If you like your system then quit whining about the outrageous cost of living and bend over like a good little peasant.
Having lived and gotten healthcare all over America, Montreal, Vancouver, London, and Shanghai, you are so full of shit. Best healthcare I've ever had was in Canada, second was Medicaid, third was private through my parent's old ass insurance PPO, and the absolute WORST was self bought HMO trash
Norway is a highly paid salaries as well. Det er dyrt [ bo i Norge grunnet gode lonn. I think we cannot compare norway to us or uk as Norway pay and salaries are thousand times better. than these countries

This video was nice and that challenge was so amazing especially food is life :)
If you have time I also have travel vlogs more on Italy!
Hells yeah...this makes me miss NY big time (lived uptown for almost 3 years). I was super broke, $5-10 per day for food for years (Crown and McDonalds was considered a rare treat for me).. but, still madly love the city and its' people.
Thanks for stopping by, love getting comments from fellow creators.
You deserve A LOT more subs then you have
Thanks ! The channel has grown a lot recently.
$10 a day?
Go to southern Italy, for that you can eat meat, anchovies and other Sea food, vegetables and milk, various kinds of cheese and eggs.
