*Saw this the other day on Christmas Day! I remembered seeing the advert for Mary Poppins Returns back in 2018 and wanting to go to the cinema to see it. I sadly missed out on that experience, but at least I STILL got to see the longly-awaited Mary Poppins sequel! At Chrimbo, too!! How awesome is THAT, then!?? I LOVE Mary Poppins, and this sequel is just the icing on the cake for me! 😁👍*

@@joewhitehead3 that's the exact reason Julie Andrews gave for not doing a cameo appearance. And, she was right for not doing it. For if she was in the film for even ten seconds it would have ruined the whole film for Emily Blunt.
Ethan Ellis,, Julie Andrews was asked to make a Cameo in the movie but she turned it down.........she didn't want to take the spotlight from Emily Brunt and her version of Mary Poppins. Julie Andrews knew if she was in the movie even in a Cameo scene the focus would be on her and fans would be waiting for her to appear and the focus would not be on Emily Blunt she wanted Emily Blunt to do her version of the character and let it be her own.

Pops out every 25 years exactly, uses children's imaginations to get strong emotions out of them, they forget her once the cycle is over, dances, loves floating and balloons, praises herself constantly (depends of ego, the belief of others), etc. This may not be canon regarding the first film, but the writers of the second film knew what they were doing. She literally makes her first appearance after luring a kid named Georgie with a paper toy in a storm😂
