    Education in North Korea is free for all, in fact, they gave so much emphasis on education that some even decided to enroll on reeducation institutions. Amazing.

    I think that it is unwise to talk or discuss certain issues such as political, Government administration with your hosts or guides whenever you visit a country. It is a very sensitive issue and can embarrass them but this lady is skillful in her answers and sometimes changes the subject. When someone visit a country, one should observe and respect the rules and laws of the country.

      Actually most of Asia is like that. There is no concept of yielding to pedestrians. It is assumed that pedestrians should yield to vehicles so as not to cause a traffic jam.

      @@johnramirez3247 Foreigners who are loyal to the regime and live in north korea are encouraged to marry other foreigners. Marrying koreans is a big taboo and even the koreans themselves tend to marry within their social class.

    Once again the propaganda is the key. For example she claims that 100% of the children are educated when that is simply not true. For the vast majority of the children, it is simply too expensive to go to school. The claim that it is "free" is a lie; just as the claim that medical treatment is free is also a lie. It's interesting that they did not correct the comment about the Korean war has over more than 3 million Chinese soldiers fought in that war!
